There's a possibility that Clark thought that the gun actually belonged to his manager, but a possibility of him thinking otherwise.

Fuck, that whole episode I kept thinking about the gun. I am stunned Earn finessed that shit into Clark County's bag, and then Clark into his manager's bag.

Nah Clark knows more than he lets on. If they do a third season that's any way connected to this they definitely gonna do some follow up.

I cannot believe Season 2 is even better than Season 1. Goddamn.

Earn did some great last second scheming there

But hes still a bum ass manager tbh. I get that paperboy saw a spark in him at the end there but hes been terrible for his career to that point lol

If 3rd season has a timejump or some shit he better either be stepped up on his game or fired

I totally forgot about the gun with all the shit Earn had to do, it only hit me when we saw his reaction.

I figured it out as soon as they showed the gun. If there's one thing that's true in television and film, it's that if there's a gun shown randomly in a scene - it's obviously going to have some significance within the plot. It also doesn't help that Earn is a fuckup, and you just expect shit to go south for him.

He forgot about it.

He opens the bag normally off screen, sees what's in there and we linger on his face for a while, then we see the gun, then we linger on his face then at the end you can tell he gets an idea.

Yeah Earn definitely forgot about the gun, quick thinking on his part though and the type of initiative he will need to stay Paper Boi's manager.

He had a real ass conversation with Al on the plane, along with Darius at the passport place. Both of them can't afford to fail.

It wouldn't shock me if season 3 picks up farther in the future into Paper Boi's career.

Poor Tracy will have to eat his chinese food someplace else.

Am i only one that who think that the thing that happened to Earn at Princeton, was that he lied about being accepted and just went off somewhere pretending he was there. But then something happened and he had to come home (probably ran out of money)

Right before they went through tsa i remembered the gun, paused my episode and took a break because i figured something fucked up was gonna go down. Went better than expected.

I'm going to miss this show, hopefully we dont have to wait too long for the next season. It's really something special.

Earn finally got a W.

Biggest laugh of the season for me was seeing Tracy knocking on the door at the end, Earn petty as hell for not telling him.

Fuck S3 is going to be such a long wait. If it's out by Summer 2019 I'll be happy but can see it being later than that. All I want to do right now is watch this over again.

I doubt Clark actually moved the gun to his manager's bag. More than likely his manager just took the fall for him. That's typical rap nigga shit; it's never the artist's gun/drugs/etc. when the feds come calling.

Is No Chase Policy even a thing in Europe? Tracy overseas would've been a disaster, but also one of the most hilarious things I can imagine.

Yep caught that too. I don't know how Clark will react tho. Bring S3 on.

Well Clark has goons. Ask the poor engineer.

"I would never put my hands on you. But I'm not the only one with hands in this world" is still one of my favorite lines from the season.

Yeah. The staff are generally not supposed to do anything. For security staff if they see someone stealing they have to wait until they step out of the store and then stop them, you're not supposed to chase them if they go running.

I wanna believe that Clark County and Earn will clash hard in season 3, but knowing this show, it'll turn into a Space Opera mentioned above or something

About the possibility of a time skip

I feel like if Clark County had actually been caught with the gun and hauled off, meaning Al would likely headline, then we'd probably be seeing a time skip

Since he wasn't caught and likely knows they tried to set him up, I don't think we're gonna see a time skip so they can deal with the ramifications of that since they now have to travel and tour with the guy

that fucking gun.....its all i thought about the whole episode and there were a number of situations it looked like it could have been trouble mainly the school and obviously the airport. I still think even though Al is keeping him Earn deep down knows how Al really feels about the situation

With Van going back to live with her mom and their daughter, next season has to be the W season for Earn.

Given the way the do the story at times, I could see next season opening up with them at the end of their tour and Earn having really grown as a manager while out there and getting some W's

He got a W impressing Al like that but then Clark's manager took the fall for the gun, and you could see Al sigh with frustration at the end. So Earn is still in bad standing with Al. And Van is still thinking about leaving. So, it was a temporary W that got taken away and he's still starting S3 pretty fucked.

Also there's no way Clark doesn't find out the gun was their fault (if he doesn't know already) which is going to blow up in Earn's face.

Wasn't that a great shot? And just a great moment. You can feel the vibes of each character from their body language as they sit in silence. What an amazing show.

Earn will never really be in bad standing with Al, I think the school episode showed us that. Al can't help but look out for Earn. It's some heartwarming shit, really.

That last scene was so great though. You could feel the tenseness of "play it cool, we almost out of this"...

For some reason, I don't think Clark is all that worried about who put the gun in his bag. The nigga said "yahoo!" after saying he wish the piece was his lol He don't give a fuck about his manager or anyone else

Clark County is such a worthy adversary for Paperboi. The way the contrast and foil each other is brilliant.

I don't think Al was frustrated with Earn. It was more that a good plan didn't pan out cause Clark County still got on the plane. And that monologue he gave kind of gives me the impression that Al and Earn will always be connected and watch out for each other. That is something that goes great with the episode from last weeks when we looked at their past.

I didn't really give much thought to Van going back to her mom's place. I'm not sure it is really "leaving" cause wasn't the apartment hers anyways? I was pretty sure that Earn was crashing at her place from time to time and they have already split in a romantic sense so they are just co-parenting now. I thought Van going back was to save money to try and help with the Lottie situation and maybe let Earn know that he has one less place to crash now.

Earn doing what it takes to make Paper Boi climb above Clark County is good progress for him as a manager so I think at least that is a W (sort of). If his attitude changes with how he approaches things then he might keep earning solid W's.

Season 3 he might start fucked cause the stuff with Clark County might blowback somehow even if Clark County does understand that everyone has to do what they have to do to survive as he mentioned in the studio before.

That gun was from episode one right? A season long set up, wow.

I only now realised that when Earn asked the jewish dude if black lawyers could be as good as jewish lawyers, it was basically him asking if he as a black man could be as good a manager as a white dude (Clark County's manager etc.). No matter how good he gets, he won't have as many connections because of systemic issues.

Also, I wan't to see the europe tour, culture clash!

Not only that, but it also hearkens back to the conversation Earn and (Katt Williams character, can't remember his name) had in that episode where he said he doesn't want to grow up to be a fuckup like Katt was. Katt's gun wasn't just a smoking gun for the episode - it's a manifestation of all the losing Earn was doing, just like his uncle before him. It's no surprise that ditching it led to Earn's first real W all season.

Ending this season with Nina Simone's I Shall Be Released was a such a great touch. What an incredible season. I love this show so much.

EDIT: Also, fuck Tracy. He had what was coming to him at the end.
