It's a somewhat common YT error that happens every now and then. The few Youtubers I follow on Twitter tend to ask people every few months to check their subs in case YT unsubscribed them automatically.
It's either a glitch or just another way YouTube screws with content creators.

Huh, I hadn't heard of that one before. But yeah, giving it a google search now it does seem to be a pretty common issue. That seems.... really bad? But okay then.

Kyle keeps saying Sony's first party games don't need to make money even though Druckmann's already said that's false on Twitter. It might be true for their VR and mid-tier games like Blood & Truth or Concrete Genie but the amount of money poured into AAA games would quickly make that completely unsustainable even for console manufacturers.

Yes, it's a bit misleading to say they are acceptable as loss leaders, but it is also true that Sony does not have the same motivation to try and turn everything into an unlimited GaaS revenue stream.

"A bit misleading" is probably a fair critique. The intent in my using the phrase "loss leader" was to communicate the possibility of permitting a relative difference between potential GAAS gains and linear single player ones. In other words, I agree that Naughty Dog probably can't actually "lose" money and stay in business, but they may be able to survive making a 50% return instead of a 500% one due to the factors I decribed (Sony's varied interests and desire to move consoles). They are a prestige brand of a console manufacturer and that has value independent of cash flow.

Noticed Ian name drop this place in the Jack Box group stream... are they here?
Brad and Blood have posted in this thread. Not sure on the status of anyone else.
Ahh I had a feeling we'd get Blood at the least since he was so active before but Brad (I don't like to pick favourite's but..) is a nice surprise!

I never really posted much in the other thread but just knowing the only YouTube personalities I watch read their thread there and now here was oddly satisfying. Glad we didn't lose that link. Hopefully it's only a matter of time before Ben resurfaces.

Oh man. Armando Iannucci is probably my favourite person in comedy. I'd love to hear Kyle's thoughts on The Armando Iannucci Show and Brass Eye. Those gifts were great.

I should really post more in here, I consume so much EZA content that it isn't even funny.

I can't get enough of these 9 dudes that love videogames so much.

Microphone breaks half way thorough, but it might be a blessing in disguise as Huber goes FULL HUBER at points.

Brass Eye and The Day Today are some Britain's best ever comedies. The Chris Morris/Ianucci combination is unstoppable. Not to mention Steve Coogan as well.

Yeah, these Huber Syndrome episodes are my favourite, too. I always look forward to them. It was nice to see each ally discuss something different. I had to skip Damiani's section unfortunately since I haven't gotten around to watching Stranger Things yet.

I can't imagine Kyle making it through Brass Eye, especially the "special episode" hahahaha

Yeah, I'm not sure how well Paedogeddon!! would land outside the UK, haha. Not that Americans can't find British things funny but there are some jokes throughout those shows that I find especially British, most notably in I'm Alan Patridge.

Did Kyle just make a bet to wear a different hat every podcast for a year if he loses?

So the Sonic Forces microtransaction bet, right now, Kyle's the winner, but what if they add them in an update?

100 reviews, awesome! A big congrats.

Wanting to start a binge of all the EZA E3 coverage/impressions/conference reactions, etc. Came across the reactions to the 2010 Konami conference, man what a funny video.

Sure, that's reasonable. I wasn't criticising your statement though (which are always a highlight of the show by the way), since you barely touched upon it, I was criticising Kyle for continually saying things like "Ghost of Tsushima doesn't need to make money."

Scored Yakuza Kiwami for $20. I'll give it a go sometime this weekend
Have you played 0? Cause I'd recommend playing that first.

Anyway, I loved Huber Syndrome, even with the audio issues. Great to hear those short discussions, especially the Damiani one on Stranger Things.

And as an aside, if Ian's lurking, you got Taika Waititi's name perfect on Reaction Shots.

Sony is definitely closing down their least profitable studios and doubling down on their most profitable ones, their new CEO even talked about needing to invest more in microtransactions.

I'm more sad that they've moved from a Japanese company (sce/Sony computer entertainment) to a western one (sie/Sony interactive entertainment), they're headquartered in California now apparently. I was a little late to this situation and only found out earlier this week. The positive aspect for them I guess is that they're at least focusing on their most popular division and divesting from they're sector that's contracting.
