Guys I am glad things are going well. I haven't been keeping up with content as much lately due to school and because Nintendo news is light. But it was awesome to see Elyse win. Keep up the good work y'all!

You and me both hahah. Manage to listen to KFGD during my commute, watch Party Mode/PSVR show each week, and catch KFMS a couple times a week, but school really killed my ability to stay up to date with KF. Really sucks but now that the semester is finally winding down I'm planning on catching up on GoG/Gamescast!

Let's just get the ball rolling on a course in all things Kinda Funny.

Party Mode in Fortnite was a lot of fun. Frustrating but fun. I hope they take the time to learn a bit and come back in. Just watching a few videos about the basics of the game would do wonders for the quality of play.

Whoa, that is super weird timing... I'm watching the GamesDaily video right now and he was JUST answering your question when I clicked this thread and read your post. Pretty cool!
Heh, funny that. I actually listened to the episode a few minutes after it went up on YouTube, just didn't think to say anything until now.

Your question was really thought-provoking, thanks for asking it.
You're welcome! Thought provoking are my favorite kinds of questions.

There's something about KF content and their humor that I relate to so much. Took my last final of the year today, and was tuning into the morning show. The moment that Gary Whitta randomly showed up into the office, because of a scheduling thing, and gave Greg some slight grief only for Andy Cortez to randomly appear out of nowhere eating Reese's Puffs one piece at a time had me rolling. I love what KF has going on. So much personality, so much great content, so many laughs, and a great community.

I had this weird moment today when I realized I've been watching this same show live (not always live of course, in fact most of the time not recently lmao) for more than 3 years straight. Really crazy to think about how much has changed in KF since then as well as in my life. Funny how I can still be entertained every single day. I wonder if Internet shows like KFMS will be something that my generation relates to similar to the daily shows that my parent's generation relates to. Drunk thoughts lmao.

Huh. When I saw your name in the YT description box I wondered if it was the same person from ERA but figured it was a coincidence. Go figure. XD

I generally listen to Games Daily first because... well... because there's more news there and I don't always have time for both. So on days like today it's fun to hear Gary and Greg spar a bit about what I assumed happened off screen... then listen to the Morning Show and bam their scheduling conflict resolution in all its hilarity happened on air.

In my experience best friends run in a lot of the same circles :P

It really is just so funny to see happen so genuinely. The Morning Show is one where absolutely anything crazy could happen and I wouldn't be surprised at this point.

Tim's response to the Nintendo announcements was rather disappointing. Not enough money for NES games that most of have have played for 30+ years now, have bought on numerous virtual consoles, and likely also on the minis? Thats ridiculous. Glossing over the fact that their games are also unlikely to have dedicated servers and many other features of what PSN and XBL have, a third of the price seems at best reasonable. I also have trouble understanding his response to no virtual console. If Nintendo is that strapped for cash and wanted to distance themselves from letting people redownload their games how is it that xbox allows for users to do this without losing money? Especially because nintendo's past policy on no redownloads on new consoles didn't seem to be a breaking point for a lot of nintendo fans even if it is shitty. And a games pass service with nintendo games too complicated? How is running a games service ala xbox's system too complicated? Excusing the fact that you have no way to backup your saves unless you pay 20 bucks a year beacause "thats what theyre giving you" is a terrible excuse. Idk just really strange takes imo.

Ah just got to the part where he says he doesn't care about what the service is actually meant to do which is playing games online. So his whole point is because it doesn't effect him its not a big problem. What a silly argument.

A Nintendo fanboy stays being a Nintendo fanboy lol. He was advocating and salivating for a Netflix-style Virtual Console service to be included and now that Nintendo has announced their service he flip-flops to defend it. I love Tim, but he goes into bat for Nintendo wayyyyyyy too hard sometimes.

Yeah I really like tim too but forgot how much of a Nintendo fanboy he can be at times. Just guess I was expecting a bit more from him in regards to his analysis which just ended up being "nothing effects me so it's fine and you get what you get from nintendo".

I took his reaction as that because of what's offered and the price, it's decent value. The reason that disappointed him is that he doesn't see potential for much more beyond what's announced to be added at that price. He had a hard time puttung it into words but the price suggests you'll likely not see anything besides NES games for that price.

Every time they did a new "Crazy E3 Predictions" segment, I kept forgetting I had one that I never sent in. Basically my Crazy E3 Prediction was that Dreams would be announced as Free to Play. Essentially, the free version would be as basic as possible, with all the other content available as DLC. The full game would be available physically or digitally as normal and would be the much cheaper route if you wanted everything (including pre-made music, objects, characters). Also, I would've predicted the beta would officially launch after the show. But, since they've already announced the format of the show, I don't see much other first party stuff being discussed.

My post would've just been about Justice League and Avengers which are almost 100% confirmed to be there, doubt they would've read my post off
I guess I just can't dream big when it comes to video games LOL

Really enjoyed Brian Altano with Tim this week. One of the things I've been missing is another "well informed" video game person; it's why my favorite Games Daily episodes consist of Greg and Andrea. I know it'll never happen given Altano is on Podcast Beyond, but it would be great to have him as a rotating chair.

I LOVE Altano. Dude is just way too funny. His let's play Minecraft series with Greg back on IGN was one of my favorite pieces of content ever. Hope to see him on more KF Content for sure, especially another GOG!

The Jared & guest episodes were pretty good.

Jared did a killer job this week. He got along great with every guest. I really love him on the shows and his passion for the industry. I'm still laughing about how he called Kevin, Andy, and Nick's timezone argument "the dumbest thing he has ever heard in 39 years in this industry."

I prefer Jared as cohost and color commentator, but I'm glad he was able to step in and help out so much this week. Guy's got a huge heart.

Also, Chastity is my favorite.

That was hilarious. I was in the same boat as all of them (Pretty sure most people were), I only kinda understood what Kevin was getting at near the end.

Also they seem to have a lowkey rivalry with how Kevin came in at the end of a KFGD episode last week and just messed with him the whole time lol.

It's weird cause when I first heard Jared was joining Kinda Funny I was excited as whenever he was on the show I enjoyed his presence. But now I think I prefer him in moderation. Especially since his likes are very specific: Old School Japanese Games.

Nothing wrong with that at all, just doesn't speak to me personally. (Though his LOVE of Suikoden 2 I agree with 1000%. Haha)

Just thinking of this as I'm listening to the Gamecast posted this week with him, Kevin and Andy.

On a separate note I wish we had more Kevin, even if it's just him as a floating head on the corner as he runs the show; I enjoy his opinions and thoughts.

Kevin is a clown I love him. The way he gives everyone so much shit is hilarious. I want more episodes with him and Andy. Those are definitely my favorite.

I liked him at IGN and I enjoy Pockets Full of Soup, but I can't take him anymore on Games Daily. I've taken to skipping any episodes he's on and I'm tossing up whether or not to listen to this week's Gamescast. The combination of him hosting + me not at all being interested in Kevin's opinions and thoughts on video games make it extremely unappealing, but it's also more Andy content which I can never say no to lol

His very ranty style turns me off. I feel like they reigned him in a lot at IGN when he was on Beyond, which helped get the absolute best out of him imo, and obvious on PFoS he's just acting as interviewer so he doesn't really rant. When it comes to Games Daily and to a lesser extent Gamescast he sometimes just lets loose an enormous stream of consciousness and it doesn't really jive with me, particularly because it's usually about an obscure old game I've never even heard of. I'm also not a big fan of the overly descriptive ways he describes games. At this point it seems like he's called about 50 obscure games "revolutionary, genre-defining, masterpiece" etc. and something about that is a little offputting to me. He clearly has an incredible wealth of knowledge, but I think Tim, Greg and co. need to reign him in more to get that knowledge across in the best way possible.

I'm fully aware that I'm very likely in an extreme minority here just like I am with my dislike of Gary (maybe I just don't like older guys who love old school gaming lmao)

That's a fair viewpoint. He can definitely go on some rants, the man can talk hahah. To each his own though! I love his style of vivid descriptions and his wealth of gaming knowledge. I also love the occasional rambling or going off topic. Reminds me of old school beyond haha. I would agree though that sometimes he needs to be reigned in a tad. Long rants in moderation is key haha. I'm sure he'll adjust though as time goes on! I imagine he reads tons of feedback here, on the subreddit, etc. etc. :)

Funny you say that because I'm also in love with Gary lmao. I guess you and I just have totally opposite tastes!

Does anybody get anything out of the endless PS5 speculation? It seems like such a weird thing to talk about until we actually know anything for sure, much less spend a third of games daily on the subject.
