Can someone tell me how hard compare to the others the valkyria down the witch house is? Whats the order to take them down?

That sentence was almost incomprehensible lol. Are you asking what order to take down the Valkyries? I personally don't know if there's a set order since they don't have a set level assigned to them. The ifghts with them so far are just understanding their attack patterns then capitalizing. They aren't overly hard once you understand what you need to do...and if you're good at parrying. They will seem utterly unfair at first though. The one thing I don't like about their design is that is that much over their attack pattern involves moving out of your immediate view before attacking. If the camera was pulled back, the fights would be MUCH easier.

The most easy at least for me. When I back house I give you the order. The valks indeed have a order because every Valk have abilities, but some have same plus new one.

That's a direct consequence of the size of some of the battle arenas. A couple of the Valkyries have areas that are much larger than the ones on Midgard, and it's easier to keep them in view.

I think I asked this before and didn't get a response. I have a new receiver so I'm not sure if it's that or the game or the PS4. I've had audio drop a few times. Haven't experienced this in movies or netflix though so I'm wondering if it's the game. Anyone else have this?

How long does it drop for. I had the audio drop while on headphones but assumed it was just the blutooth through the controller. Was for like just a second each time.

I think I'm going to ratchet down the difficulty for this last batch of trophies. I like the combat, but I'm not enamored with it, and it's starting to feel like busywork. Rest of the game is great. I'm still a bit surprised (but selfishly I'm relieved) that there aren't any difficulty-specific trophies either, since it seemed to be a pretty big focus heading in.

I second this suggestion. They're entertaining videos in their own right just to watch/listen people discuss the game and gush over it, but Cory gives quite a bit of information and clarifies a good number of things. I really enjoyed hearing about stuff that didn't make it into the final game, such as lindworms, soul-eating dragons like Niddhog in Norse mythology.
Thats the most I enjoyed. Learning about the development and the stuff that didn't make it into the final game. Holy shit if we got the soul-eating dragons

I really hope we get them in future games, as well as other things that don't directly tie into Kratos and Atreus' story. Alfheim, for example, was supposed to have this entire war going on and they weren't really involved but just passing through, right? I really love that. Shame it had to be scaled down, though... Would have been interesting to see how it played out.

I apologize if I came off as demeaning in any way. As for the Valkyries, all of them have certain attacks that they share, but not all of them share the same attack sequence. The Valkyrie I had the hardest time with so far personally would be the one that can do upwards of 3 teleport stomps randomly. The attack has a large hitbox and if she does it any an area where you have to dodge close to wall, you're guaranteed to get hit by it. I'm pretty sure people might have different Valkyrie's that they found the toughest.

Edit: On a separate note, did someone say there's no NG+??? If so, that sucks. I think it's crazy to have an action adventure game with RPG mechanics that doesn't have a NG+. You should get the choice to play at default scaling or have the enemies in NG+ scale up to your level. I'm surprised more games don't learn from Diablo 3 when it comes to NG+ and loot.

Sorry but this is another 'how far am I in the game' post

So we defeated Thor's sons, gained access to previously inaccessible doors and fought my first Valkyrie

Thanks

Seriously? There are so many amazing, memorable tracks in this game other than the main theme. What about:

or

Yeah for me they just weren't memorable whilst playing. I can still him the main GoWIII theme and it's instantly recognisable. Here, not so much and it's a lot fresher played. Not saying it's bad btw.

I was shocked to learn the voice actor for Mimir is also Senator Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising, Alastair Duncan.

Since my thread got locked because mod want me to post it in the OT instead of making a new thread I guess I'll do so.

Sorry Cory, I was wrong about the new GOD OF WAR.

Just beat the game last night, finished 99% of the side content, find all the secrets and killed all the ravens, and pretty much listened to all the character dialogues and also read all the lore/stories, I would like to share some of my thoughts about the game itself. I'm not native speaker though so please forgive my atrocious English.

Cory if you are reading this, thank you, for everything you've done, and sorry, for everything I said about you and this game.

What a beautiful ending that is, this game is a goddamn journey, despite its flaws it is honestly a masterpiece, or at least close to it, I know this kind of ''masterpiece'' praise has gotten generic and stale but that's honestly how I feel, this game not only has incredible gameplay design and outstanding metroidvania level design but also a very well written story, the story isn't just straight forward and one dimensional like you would see in Naughty Dog games (nothing wrong with that), in here there's actually a lot of foreshadowing, set up and call backs in between each story cutscene, and the execution is way beyond my expectation. This is honestly a very well written, well directed and well executed story and an excellent set up for what's to come in the future.

It's not just a really good video game, it's something unique and beautiful, there's honestly a lot of heart in here, This isn't a tale of a perfect hero or a bloody vengeance of an anti-hero, it's a story about forgiveness and love, the message behind it is both positive and powerful. There's a lot to learn here, there's a lot to remember.

Ya'll probably grow tired of these ''I just beat the game and wow it's a 10/10 masterpiece'' posts so let me tell you where I'm coming from.

Before this game's release, before it's review and even before it's preview, I absolutely hated this new God Of War, I was one of those #NotMyGodOfWar people, I honestly hated how they are forcing God Of War into something it isn't, or so I thought.

The series meant a lot to me, it was honestly one of my favorite thing in all of my teenage years, I love everything about the franchise, I love the action, the story and the epicness, I even love Kratos as a character, I see more than just a killing machine in him, despite his violent nature I honestly feel for his character and his loss, the ending of GOWIII was something I still can't get over to this day and shows just how human Kratos really is deep inside, it was honestly a noble sacrifice, especially coming from him. The series is honestly amazing.

So to see them changing the series I loved so much really had me concerned and, I'm gonna be honest here, pissed. For a long time, like two years or so, I was extremely skeptical of this game, I hated every trailer and ''gameplay'' they showed, I hated how scripted and melodramatic it felt.

Just look at my post before, these are all just from two month ago by the way.

I am all for a new direction for God of War and I agree that past games' formula were getting stale.

However I am not happy with a God of War that prioritize story telling and eye candy over gameplay and level design, we know how games turn out when devs do that, I mean just look at it.....weird camera angle, overly zoomed-in camera during non-combat gameplay and beautiful but unskippable real time cutscenes....fuck this feels like The Order 1886 all over again.

If you gonna make GOW a story focused adventure, at least give it to Naughty Dog.

Sure, but from everything we seen and heard about It's much guaranteed that this is the direction they are going for, storytelling and cinematic over gameplay.

Wanna bet?
I used to fucking hate this game, you have no idea, I got warned and banned multiple times on Era simply because I was being too passionate and get to a point where I literally can't control my anger and disappointment, cause I LOVE God Of War and I LOVE Kratos.

Now let's get back to this game, I honestly didn't expect it to be this good, I didn't expect it to be this fun and this....free, unlike what I expected this is a true video game through and through, the game never randomly take your control away in favor of storytelling, nor does it forced you to slow walk all the time. Those things do happen in the game but they are rare and you always expected it, because you, the player, are the one choosing to engage with the story in this game, the game never just randomly shove story down your throat out of the blue.

I was surprised just how big and free and well designed and detailed the game is, it was honestly mindblowningly good, it's like a Naughty Dog-level AAA game in open world but instead of open world it's fucking 3D metroidvania! Like fucking Dark Souls and Bloodborne! Sure the world layout itself isn't as genius as Castlevania:SOTN or Dark Souls 1 but it was honestly beyond good enough, already way beyond my expectation, especially for a western AAA game, which always favor big flat open world instead of a small but delicate map.

I can sit here and spend like 10 hours talking about every aspect of the game that I love but I think most of you already know what's good about the game, so I'll stop here.

Thank you to everyone at SSM, you seriously blew me away and made me fall in love with God Of War again, to see Kratos accepting his past and let go of his shadow near the end, you have no idea how moved I was as a fan, this is a true step forward for the franchise and for me it was honestly a valuable lesson as a gamer, no matter how grim things looked like in your eyes, you should still have faith in people, you should always give people at least a chance to prove themselves and their vision.

Thank you for not compromising your vision, Cory, you stayed true to yourself and never lost faith, even during the darkest times, thank you.

If there's anything that can sum up my feeling about the game now, that is this song.

I'm almost near the end and the realms have been my biggest disappointment. Alfheim was really cool and I was so excited to visit the rest, but they never came close to it.

Man I hate that bug that your hud isn't going away anymore automatically after you play for an hour or so, that happens quite often and after a reload everything works fine again.

Finished up the platinum trophy tonight and had a blast the whole way through. It's a phenomenal game and I'm itching to see what they do with a sequel given how brilliantly SSM has sown the seeds in this new universe.

Sorry Cory, I was wrong about the new GOD OF WAR.

I remember you was really vocal man,as a huge God of War fan too,I was really positive with the new direction, but I was not prepared for this game,a truly masterpiece, easy my GOTG and one of my all time games now, since The Last of Us came out in 2013,never a game put a fight against it as my all time fav, until this game.My brother was not really into the new direction too,now is his favorite game of the generation, previously was Bloodborne.Really cool see your thoughts now.
