Nintendo Switch Online: New Info (Cloud Saves, 20 NES games, Family Plan)

This shit is confusing as hell though.
Which aspect of this service is complex enough that it had to be delayed? It's also annoying that they're still withholding details of what the service fully entails
The service seems mostly fine (lack of voice chat does suck even though I typically don't use that stuff on consoles) for the yearly price. Going to at least give it a shot.

Yeah, but maybe GBA is the 10 other games they'll add later to the 20 announced. Also, that Paper Mario prediction is making me very angry, so I'm hoping it's false.
With Smash coming out and games like Mario Kart and Splatoon. This service is going to pick up steam fast when it launches.

For F-Zero maybe (game had 64 CPU racers i think), but should be easy for Star Fox.
People don't have to like the way voice chat is handled at the moment. But how about people start adding more substance to their criticisms than just "fuck the app, burn it in hell!"

You can split the cost on the same PS4.
On Switch, you can split the cost with as many consoles as you want (already confirmed). Meaning you can split the cost with 7 friends, each one with a different Switch.
4.30€ per year, each person with their own console. It's absolutely insane.
Trust me. Paying $20 a year was never going to be an issue for the overwhelmingly majority.
What is there to sleep on? We've known most of this for months. Nintendo is just confirming peoples fears that they aren't actually fixing the problems.
While I like NES games its the SNES and N64(and sega genesis) that i had real nostalgia for, im sure they'll get to them eventually but too bad foe now

That sounds like alot of work to save $16.....

1) By existing will gate off access to online features in games edging on 1.5 years old, that will have been free up until that point.
2) Provides access to cloud saves, functionality free on most other platforms.
3) Provides access to voice chat functionality... via a smart phone, which itself already provides access to functionally identical, free voice chat services.
4) Provides access to... the same NES games we've all gotten how many times?

I need an actual family plan. I'm not trying to get a cheap deal or game the system.
I'm a guy with a family with multiple devices in our house for everything. I'd love to get a 2nd Switch, but I don't want to have to rebuy all our shit multiple times. Normally I just buy physical for say the 3ds so we can all share games.
I haven't bought a 2nd Switch yet cause I'm not gonna rebuy all the indies or dlc on a 2nd system. The family plan gives the kids and I cloud saves, but that doesn't really help if we can't have multiple systems in our house.
I always feel like I'm talking to the clouds though on the internet as most people aren't people with families in my situation. I also feel like the devs and the people in charge for all this shit aren't either. All a bunch of single peeps who don't even think any of this shit out till years after the fact.

I'm very curious how you attach accounts to the family plan then. I guess you buy the family option on one account and then you have a menu where you type in other accounts that should get the benefit of family sharing?
