Does even that SAO still have this character design discrepancy between important characters (moe-ish drawn) and the rest (more realistic and certainly uglier drawn)?
Kind of, yeah. I mean, other than the protagonist and her friend, the rest aren't "moe". An important character is a huge dude, creating scenes like this one:

SAO Alternative: Gun Gale Online 5

A great finale to this initial arc. lmfao @ the scanner in the pocket. Llenn really is the luckiest of girls.

I thought the episode was already great, but then the post-credits scene was the best part.

HisoMaso - 02-04

Let's just say that this is good enough that I can try to ignore the idea that sexual harassment makes for good comedy.

I would rather see Pakistan Star in Uma Musume.

The only racehorse I know is American Pharoah since it made the news circuit a while back but it would be cool to see more brown skinned horse girls in this show. Amazon <3

About time we get a release date for this game. Hope it comes out before the show ends.

I'm honestly shocked the show and the game didn't launch at the same time. Seems like a missed opportunity and it'd be a shame if it debuts after the show ends.

Has Crunchyroll been losing subscriptions or something? This is entirely anecdotal, but I was watching a couple of series recently and the top comments would only have 4 - 10 upvotes. When I last subscribed 2 years ago, top comments would routinely have upvotes in the hundreds.

This was quite nice, I didn't expect Joe to get genuinely scared. It felt pretty human.

Sachio and the manager were being so sloppy that at one point I thought they were staging it though, eh.

About to rewatch all of Gintama.
Godspeed you crazy bastard.

Dragon Pilot: Hisone & Masotan 04

I really like the other pilots. I can already tell the thing bringing this show down on my list at the end will be the constant sexual harassment "humor"

Honestly crunchyroll comments haven't seemed to work properly for me in ages. It's pretty much always only gives me new comments rather than top, and I often can't scroll to look for more beyond the first few

Sword Gai end

Wait, this was all setup for a season 2 or something? No wonder they just introduced a bunch of characters then didn't do anything with them. But damn, this is a terrible stopping point.

I imagine there has been a large shift of people from watching on the PC to on apps on their phone or roku or other tv device.
There are also a number of people who are watching on VRV instead.
so the actual website sees far less comments.

I don't think there has been any signs that crunchy has been losing subs.

Predictable slow episode that the only reason that wasn't useless is because it had a lot of cool moments with 02 being happy
Now I don't think the relationship between Kokoro and Mitsuru is badly done but I don't like that it basically come at the cost of futoshi character.
Futoshi is basically just a trope and the only thing that could help him elevate beyond that is simply put aside to develop the couple. He has no dinamic with his partner(talking about Ikuno, she is another character that basically brings nothing to the story) and now he seems like he is dieing.
Again I am not against Kokoro and Mitsuru being a couple and I even think they work better together than Kokoro with futoshi, but it annoys me that his character had no development after that.

To be fair, everyone is dying with what was showed today. Only 02, Ichigo and Hiro didn't showed some symptoms so far.

Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future 13

Okay, I think this show is officially too crowded. The main plot is supposedly revolving around Prizmmy growing as stars and friends. But aside from Mia they're kind of lacking in development, and Mia only comes out ahead because of her sheer presence. Doesn't help that we're a quarter of the way through the show and they've only shown off one song so far, with minimal jump variations for any of them. Thank goodness they've got a good Prism Act with a much better song. Then there's the newly formed Puretty, which feels like should be a B-plot, but they receive too much attention for them to be just that. Hye In and So Min are the only memorable ones of the bunch. It feels like an awkward 70/30 split between both groups, leaving Prizmmy with less development than they should have while not making Puretty compelling or sparse enough to want to see more of them. Then there's Aira dealing with a love triangle, sucking up more screen-time. Sho's become kind of an ass in the three years. Or just possessive of his not-girlfriend. And in the background there's a conspiracy to destroy Prism Shows or something?

It's just so much going on that even with 50 episodes I worry that nothing will be explored properly, especially with how inefficient a lot of episodes feel. I can't even lament Rhythm and Mion's limited appearances while Serenon and Kaname barely get cameos because there isn't the time for them. On the bright side Asechi is nicer while still being money-grubbing, and Jun's act is kind of amusing. So far I'm not feeling this as much as the first season.

Because of how they were building the opponent up, I thought that he had somehow got poisoned or something and that the episode was going to lead into them busting him for that. Was a nice surprise to see that it was something so simple but effective as him being straight up scared.

Too bad I don't feel like the fight scenes properly capture the state of mind of those involved, or their abilities.

yeah ive switched to VRV. It's just so more convenient to have dubs and subs plus other goodies in one service.

CR's mobile app does this weird thing where the audio will skip back but the picture won't, so you're staring at a still frame while listening to as much as 15 seconds of audio you already heard.

I use VRV now.

Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future 14

Of course the episode right after I complain about the lack of Serenon they come back to steal the spotlight. They're still great. They even almost manage to make manzai entertaining, and I don't find that funny. Great to see Kaname back as well. Seems like she's just a guest appearance and doesn't regularly participate though? Most interesting part was how Puretty is getting promoted in the op and especially ed, making them almost equal to Prizmmy. It's really looking like Mia and Hye In are the main leads instead of Mia and her three lackeys like I first thought. More focus on group over individual development, which I'm not sure I like. Meanwhile, Pretty Top has MARs, Callings, Serenon, Prizmmy, and Puretty. They're stacked, especially considering that four years ago all they had was a boy band and a girl who blew them off whenever she wasn't in the right mood.

Mahou Shoujo Site - 01

I caught this on the Twitch Presents stream, knowing that watching it with Twitch chat would soften a bit of the edginess and make it ever so slightly more watchable.

If there is any one anime that owtheedge.jpg is most appropriate for, this has to be a candidate close to the top of the list. I was already spoiled on the events in this episode beforehand but it is actually so over-the-top in viewing that it beggars belief. The bullies, at least, are somewhat believable in the context of Japan's culture being particularly vulnerable to that sort of behavior, but the brother raises serious questions, and then you throw the kitten murder and rapist on top of that, and it's just like... yeah, um, laying it on a wee-bit thick there, I think.

I actually like exploring the lives of suicidally depressed protagonists, but this is definitely not meant to be a nuanced take on the subject. I admit, though, I'm kind of curious to see where it all leads, even though at this point my suspension of disbelief is thoroughly shattered and I'm more interested in its construction of absurd events than anything else. Not the sort of thing I'd ever want to make a repeat viewing of, either.

Hugtto PreCure Episode 14

Another great episode. The chemistry between Lulu and Saaya was great, and Lulu yet again turning more "human" was also really good. Oh and can't forget that wonderful oshimaida bank scene. So glad it finally returned. Overall, I'm Mechoku with how much fun I'm having with Hugtto.

Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple
This movie is more relevant to character development than I expected going in. Atsushi's character development is the emotional linchpin of this movie and it works out pretty well. It is definitely not a good idea going in without watching the show. I was personally a little lost since I have forgotten key plot details from previous entries. As for the story itself, it is a mystery that soon presents itself as a three way gambit between Dazai, Dostoevsky, and the villain of this story. While it is always a pleasure to see Dazai, Dostoevsky's part was confusing, mainly because this is literally the first time Doestoevsky has a big presence, yet he is never properly introduced. As for the villain himself, he was important in terms of his connection with Atsushi, but the character is overly pretentious and quiet frankly I just don't get him. As for the other characters of the Armed Detective Agency, it was hilarious how irrelevant they were. It would have been better if they never showed up. Overall I would say it is like a one big episode of Bungou Stray Dogs with really awesome action scenes.

Hinamatsuri 1-3

This is pretty solid but there's something about this show. I remember a few people talking about the timing of the jokes and something just feels off. I feel like the scene transitions and punchlines could be delivered better. The art style kinda bugs me as well. The younger characters all have their heads drawn a little too long for example.

Anyways, the premise is great and these 3 episodes have been quite fun. The thugs saying "Ouchy" always gets a chuckle out of me.

Finished Attack on Titan S2, and it is a very solid adaptation. This is also as far as I got in the manga, only gleaning shreds of information of future arcs that I don't much remember either other than, well... having certain wrinkled expressions.

The breach of Wall Rose and on is the part where the story dives into the more unique mysteries of our syncretic post-apocalypse world and leaves dangling threads EVERYWHERE for the average viewer to look at and go "Wait, what? Wait, what?!" and the intrigue coalesces with the emotive characterization in a natural evolution from S1, which does similar things, only in a completely unassuming context -- normal, of course, for the early foundations of a story.

Despite (or perhaps because of) this, the imperfect melodramatic novelty of S1 is what makes it special, something that allows it to transcend the trappings of its source manga and embody its own portrait of human extremity. As the anime progresses, it'll inevitably delve deeper into its plot threads and there's no denying the attention lavished on this bleak but complicated world and its history, which is what makes it as beloved as it is ingratiating for some. For me, the anime is at its best when utilizing the emotional, sensationalist capital of the themes of the plot first and foremost, acting as a fatalist/humanist parable. Mainly because Production I.G. makes anything look good in motion admittedly. But also because there's potential in that.

Still, this is quite an improvement over S1 in many ways, even with the disadvantage of having an increasingly tricky balancing act to maintain with each passing sequence and plot development. Yet, regardless of whether it's up or down from here, one thing that's most likely: the anime is sure to go out with aplomb either way.

It really is the kind of long-form story that numerous seasonal breaks makes more awkwardly paced, though. But it's all for the greater good!! Quality over quantity buckeroo!!

The game is not like other shooter, in which everyone is the same, there's level and stat system, M is a strength build, which enable him to use rarer/stronger gun, carry more ammo, and equipment(His shield)
Llen is a pure agi build, add to her small size, make her a harder target, and it's the other meta build,
Most people go for average build with focus on str.

SAO-GGO 5

Eurgh. This got too goofy too fast.
- talking gun
- immortal object
- elementary school team

Their highschool second year, their just short compared to Karen
Immortal object was a unintended bug, since the scanner was something they put in for this tournament only, they made it unbreakable,

SAOAGGO 5

Did that gun talked!?
She imagined it, and it's actually her VA voicing P-chan

And this tournament Squad Jam, is a small region based tournament started by a japanese author, because he wanted to see squad based combat, so the skill level and tactic is different compared to the BoB that most GGO player know(Solo play and world based)
Even Pito, one of the top player in this serie, didn't make it far in BoB preliminary
