Errinwright has gone full Joffrey as a despicable TV villain. I just want to punch him through the screen every time I see him. Ana's actress really helps sell how much of a dick he is. I could actually believe he sabotaged one of those just to get Ana out of the picture.

Good stuff though, this show continues to be fantastic.

Fantastic episode those week. Averserala calling the UN president a "fucking bobblehead" was the highlight of the episode for me. She's so awesome. I'm missing the extravagant dresses this season, though.

Amos arriving late to the party was a close second favourite moment. And that ending WOW.

I CANNOT wait for Errinwright to get his. What a despicable cunt.

I assume they're following the same structure as season 2 where the middle of the season is the end of the next book and something really big is gonna happen in the next episode or two. Can't wait.

That was a nice twist to Mao's story. Figured they'd do Strickland going over his head to sell out to Errinwright.

Can't get enough of this. I hope they manage to keep going with it cos I really want to see how they cope with the scale change in the books when things get crazy.

The season to season jumpy in quality of this show is astounding. This is shooting up the list of my favourites at a rapid pace.

Without bringing book spoilers into this, can anyone help explain why the arrangement of body parts at the end tells them the boy is communicating with the rest of the protomolecule? I didn't really get how they jumped to that conclusion.

I believe he saw him talking to himself and just assumed he's talking to the Protomolecule.

I think the orderly disassembly of the nurse resembled what happened to that ship that was disassembled at Venus.

Goddamn at Mao and Strickland just standing there while psychoboi is playing organ legos, RUN YOU FOOLS RUN!!

Did the POV of Katao looking at Strickland and seeing a bunch of blue lights inside him mean Strickland is infected with some form of the protomolecule, which pretty much means everyone at the base is too? Or was that more like "the neurons in the human being lit up, thats probably tasty food!"

I watch The Americans and The Expanse back to back and its crazy how slow the first show is and then The Expanse feels like its running at 10x speed.

I don't think we've seen anyone become infected with an airborne protomolecule yet - I think it's more that the protomolecule is seeing how the human body works. Fits in with the dismembered person on the floor.

I believe it's setup and payoff, with his human part seeing beauty, but the protomolecule (assuming Mao's conclusion is correct) sees raw material for whatever it is it does (see: Eros). The kid apologizes for 'his hands' after all, after which the PrM takes over again. Which is similar to the scientist in S2, so I have to imagine a future confrontation between Mao and Harris's character based on having the same information, at some point.

Mao's turnabout is a bit much to do on just one event in one episode though, but oh well.

Other than that, this episode was great. Lots of small moments worth mentioning, like Holden saying: "you have between now and until my mechanic gets here", leading to Amos's "did I miss it?" at the end of that scene, which was great. And yes, Bobby vs food is indeed one of the better things here. <3

All caught up. This season is [fire emoji].

And goddamn, did Errinwright turbocharge his asshole quotient in just a few episodes. I can't believe he used to be another feeble politician seemingly in the hands of more powerful players.

I think the orderly disassembly of the nurse resembled what happened to that ship that was disassembled at Venus.
I'm going with this. The protomolecule appears to be capable of seeing "something" in things that are alien to it (them?) and tries to understand it like a child would do: taking everyting apart to see the little bits that build everything. That's my understanding anyway. Alas, I can't quite figure out if the protomolecule is a higher life form by itself or just something created by one.

God damn this show is so stellar.

* I loved how Avasarala went straight to business explaining everything. I get annoyed by shows where characters unrealistically withhold information
* The implications of 2 million dead (at least)...jesus what a nightmare
* Errinwright definitely is slimy, but I don't think he deliberately orchestrated the "miss". He's absolutely responsible for starting the war in the first place, and he's absolutely taking advantage of the situation, so he's still culpable overall, but I don't think it would be possible for him to carefully orchestrate one specific nuke getting through
All of this, specially the bit about Errinwright. He's not quite Space Littlefinger, but just another asshole going with the flow and hoping to come out on top.

I'd also like to mention that Frankie Adams' seems a lot easier this time around. Her "tuff Mars gorl" acting seems much more natural and less stiff than during the previous season, not unlike Holden's (his actor was pretty bad in S1, but grew *a lot* during S2). And Amos' interactions continue to be such a joy to watch.

Can't wait... until I can watch it on Amazon tomorrow night. Last week's episode was excellent. I'm curious if we'll see the Martian's reaction to the message Avasrala passed on to them, or just what Anna does with it.

Should I be panicking about the lack of a season 4 announcement yet?

"Be ready for anything"

*Couldn't even hold up the person he was aiming at which leads to his commanding officer dying*

Dude gets the medal for being the worst mutineer ever.

EDIT: Oh shiiiiiiiiitttt !!!
That came out of nowhere.

Man, this show has a knack for slow starts followed by intense second halves.

One of the more suspenseful things on TV I've seen in awhile. What the hell happened at the end?

Excellent episode, shame about Souther. Need Ashur to start shit and become the captain.

Anyway, Nguyen launched the proto hybrids or something, probably to the various planets; earth, mars, the belt. Probably at the ships shi lol.

And lol, cylon.

The only bad thing about that episode was that it ended and I have to wait a week to watch the next one. Supremely great stuff.

That episode was amazing, this show just keeps showing why it's the best space show on tv.

Can't wait to see David Strathairn come into the season, I wonder who he's playing? Kind of surprised he hasn't shown up yet since they talked about him having a critical role for this season.

Book spoilers
if you google it you can see who he plays and what he will do, apparently there was some kind of leak?

The standoff between the ships and between the crew was great. Really ratcheted up the tension nicely.

I was surprised how invested I was in Southers crew and the Hammurabi captain considering they're basically side characters
