Yeah, seems to be a bug. I guess the stone usage timer runs out before the actual kill animation does. Hope they fix this :>

I want to ask fellow PS4 players who are using headsets, I'm looking for a budget intended mainly for single player games on my PS4.
I came across those 2 options: The HyperX Cloud || headset or Sony's own Stereo Headset 2.0 which is wireless.
I heard great things about the Cloud 2 but I'm not sure if it works well on the PS4, does it sound good enough when you plug it to the Dual Shock 4? Or should I go with with Sony's that are not as loved but maybe are more practical for the system?

Finished it yesterday, I'm going for the plat now, and will be starting a Give me God of War run, but...
This so hard. This game ask for it and I want to humiliate the first troll with all my fancy moves!
It feels a little weird that we haven't had an update in more than a day. Hoping the next patch comes with lots of fixes (I've encountered one possibly blocking me from two legendary chests in the Witch's Cave) and Photo Mode. And New Game Plus.
This game is just so fucking good. I never really cared for the old games, although I did complete 3 for some reason.
I wish the loot system was a bit better, but it has improved a bit since the early hours.
How far am I in the main story ?
Are there more side content to come later, as well?

Just got Mimir's head, and did some exploring in the lake area after the water level dropped.

Probably because the game is 4 to 5 times longer than every other God of War title.
I think it's a mix of two things. The game is a lot bigger than people expected and full of surprises, so people who've been somewhat spoiled or are following the thread may be under the impression of being close to the end but having that not reconcile with what they've been led to expect.
And also there's the fact that
the game plays a magistral trick on the player by using gameplay to suggest the game is almost over, and then boom it opens up again. You get enough XP to pretty much max out all your skills and you start getting legendary gear RIGHT BEFORE you actually get the Blades of Chaos, which extend the lifetime of the game - in terms of new mechanics - by several hours. The game is really tricky about this: for example, you are about to fill up all the room for Light Runic Attacks for the Leviathan Axe at that point of the game. EVERYTHING hints that you're about to be done with the game, but nope, you're halfway through.
The HyperX Cloud 2 is amazing. I have one and it's great. Plug it directly to the DS4 and enjoy the great sound
It doesn't show your playtime which kind of drives me nuts in games.
I have the deadly mist set fully upgraded, but I feel like I should go for more cooldown. Will fully upgrade the Valkyrie set now and compare.

It's hard to believe that this could be somebody's first ever video game...
Like how the fuck do you even top that? Sure there are other games that's just as good (Dark Souls, Resident Evil 4, Witcher 3, BOTW etc.) if not better, but there are none like this.
This game is both good and unique, and has insane level of production value that other ''10/10 masterpiece" don't.
If you want ultra high quality super expensive cinematic and presentation, this game has it, and very good at that. If you want satisfying & layered combat with interesting level design and rewarding exploration, this game has it too, and also very good at that. On top of these the game also offers a lot of side content that just as, if not more interesting than the main story, seriously this game is the best of everything.
Even the most hardcore old school gamer will eventually like this game. You know those cutscene hating gameplay loving guys who hates modern AAA games unless it's Dark Souls, like me.
Even EpicNameBro likes this game now (he hated it at first), that's how good it is.

Yeah I have the HyperX Cloud II's and they are fantastic for the price and well built. Really good stereo sound quality when plugged into the controller or into the PS4 with the Virtual 7.1 Surround USB adaptor it comes with.
It depends on the Runic attack, but 22 seconds for Njord's Tempest (Light) and 33 seconds for Ivaldi's Anvil (Heavy).

What do you prefer, the stereo sound through the controller or the virtual surround through the PS4?

How do you know if the lighting is ''ruined'' or not? I want to try this as well.
Stereo is probably a little better to my ears but the virtual 7.1 isn't bad either.
In my case the game's lighting became extremely dark. Even in environments with plenty of light I could hardly see anything, especially Kratos. It was like if everything was black crushed. It was so bad that I stopped playing.
I believe that in my case the patch 1.17 wasn't properly installed and had no effect. When I deleted the game data the new patch was properly installed.
