He said theres more than one way to travel through realms, and he knows multiple ways.
Forget the exact explanation, but he knows how to get around without the need to use the realm travel room.
Thanks. Somehow I missed that.

Sindri mentions and demonstrates that they can slip in and out of "the realm between realms" at will.
Not up to there yet but good to know.

The way I'm going to think about Brok being in multiple locations is:
each of his shop locations has a magical "potential customer approaching alert" and when Brok hears the alert he fast travels to that location to meet the customer :)

Well just finished after getting back from a 7 day vacation yesterday. What a wonderful game. And I must say, The Witch of the Woods as a character is fantastic. She might have been my favorite character.

I've spent the past four hours of my current play session trying to figure out how this game is running at 45-60 fps on my PS4.

Thanks for the help! I will try this tomorrow.
It's actually fastest by going right.

Imagine the area as a baseball diamond, entering from the dwarf is like walking up to home plate. You have battles on the bases/home plate. Each plate is separated by two sets of traps. There are two additional spots, one with he V and one with the chest you need. The V is between the 2nd and 3rd, and the chest is the turn off between 1st and 2nd.

Anyone else wondering what they will do in terms of world design for the sequels. I mean Gow 1 has established some fundamental locations tied to the lore.
Could this be the first single-player trilogy/game series where the game world from part one is reused and expanded in the sequels? Or do you think that Midgard won't be a huge part of Gow2?

I have a question I'm going to spoiler tag incase some people find it spoilerish.

just got my first set of side quests, one each from both of the Dwarf brothers and another one from a ghost.

Now my question is, the areas I'm going for these side quests, is it somewhere I'll end up revisiting or are they specifically made for these quests. Right now I've entered the mine area to find the dwarf with the ring. Is this the only time game will push me in this direction? I ask because this will somewhat shape how I'll continue the side missions.

If the game will shuffle me into those areas anyway, I'll hold off on doing the side missions until I get to their respective areas in the story, if not I'll continue to explore the world as I do a mixture of both.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't a big part again.
Winter + Ragnarok could give it reason to have a different layout.

This game shows plenty of potential to start but holy hell is it registering as more of a disappointment the further I get.

I'd say it's been steadily downhill since th third boss fight.

Had some fun on highest difficulty. liked that the game makes you to use many of your skills and play aggressive most of the time (them health regenerating fuckers! ). Later part of the game is quite tedious though, All these damage sponges. I so hate the grunts with hammers...they are not hard, just take so many hits and are totally unfun to fight.

The game should have been like 5-6 hours shorter without any other realms to travel. All of them were disappointing.

Fuck me, Sigrun is hard. I killed 2 Valkyries during the story and had a reasonably hard time with them. After I finished the story I hunted down the remaining Valkyries and it usually just took one or two tries.
But Sigrun? I am at like 20 tries and and wasn't even close to taking her down.

The post-game area Nilpheim is really starting to grind my gears. Finally found an anchor of fog. And no matter what I couldn't find my way back :| .

Yes, I know its supposed to be a baseball diamond but I kept getting turned around :|

I dunno, I enjoyed the realms. 2 of the realms are completely optional so you don't have to do them if you don't want to.

You will revisit the area, but they won't look the same.
Throughout the story the water level of the lake changes due to the world serpent moving around. This reveals more of the terrain around the lake and the explorable areas get bigger. Its actually pretty smart level design.

Had the same thing. Couldn't pick it up on entering the area. I ignored it and continued with the level, then came back, and it let me pick it up on my way back out.

Still bugged I've left and come back and now just beat the game and came back, still no pick up prompt. So annoying I wasted my time to try and platinum the game and now I won't be able to.

Its a circle. As long as you don't exit any room the same way you entered it (except the two rooms that are dead ends) you should always get out easily.

The HDR randomly not working with this game is really starting to bother me. Like, a lot.

I don't have enough free time to waste 30 mins on this shit every time I boot the game. It's about to get indefinitely shelved.

Started my Give me God of War playthrough, got up to Brok. Really interesting so far. Excited to see how it holds up as I get more upgrades.

The game handles saves in a very weird way, though. I knew we only had 8 slots, but I didn't expect the autosaves from the campaign to overwrite my save game from Give me a Challenge. Thank God I got 100% on my first playthrough, if I left it for later I would be slightly bothered.

Gonna spoiler this just in case, but

I used the Lost Tyr gear for most of the back half of the game, but I'm just barely breaking Level 5 into Level 6 with it, and the world has enough Level 8 encounters that I just can't manage to win.

Should I just beeline to Muspelheim and get the armor the stuff for the armor there, then off to Nifelheim for the same?

I dunno if I missed any better sets on the way, or if the best gear has to be crafted, or what. I just wanna explore old areas without two Wulvers immediately offing me.

Just discovered trials in Muspelheim.

Almost at the end of the game and I never even thought to explore this realm. Game is incredible.

I really wish they made the realm of fire and fog,at least like Alfheim.Imo the "challenges" felt a cheap way to enter a brand new realm. Would have no problem if it were just side content instead of the main realm activity

I went out of my way to retrieve that stupid talisman only to find out the timing is more strict than fucking Bayonetta.
XD, yeah the window is pretty short, but it's awesome when you land it. However once you beat the Valkyrie in this gif (Kara) you get a talisman which lets you manually use realm shift by pressing L1+O, lasts longer than the dodge and is also instant, as soon as you press the button combination you're in realm shift.

I know nothing about game design or development, but the lake does make me wonder:
So before the water level dropped, was everything underwater already there? I mean, was the whole map already loaded, but you just can't see the areas under the water? Or is there two maps, one for before the water level dropped, and one for after?

You should get one of the Niflheim sets now and then upgrade it as you progress further through the story. If you have it fully upgraded by the time you reach the end of the story you'll be somewhat overpowered already, so no need to hurry with upgrades.
Don't bother with upgrading the Muspelheim sets. Un-upgraded they will serve you well until you get the Niflheim stuff, but upgrading them doesn't make much sense, it just means you'll have to farm more resources later when you want to upgrade the better stuff.

Games usually don't render stuff you don't see, even when somethings just behind a tree or a wall its not rendered, so no, the game doesn't render anything thats under water, so its technically not there.
Or what exactly is your question?
