As an animator, the animation in this game is just...
Can't believe I missed that. Thank you!Climb the well in the cavern below the Witches home to get back there.
Thanks. Somehow I missed that.He said theres more than one way to travel through realms, and he knows multiple ways.
Forget the exact explanation, but he knows how to get around without the need to use the realm travel room.
Not up to there yet but good to know.Sindri mentions and demonstrates that they can slip in and out of "the realm between realms" at will.
It's actually fastest by going right.
Anyone else wondering what they will do in terms of world design for the sequels. I mean Gow 1 has established some fundamental locations tied to the lore.
Could this be the first single-player trilogy/game series where the game world from part one is reused and expanded in the sequels? Or do you think that Midgard won't be a huge part of Gow2?
This game shows plenty of potential to start but holy hell is it registering as more of a disappointment the further I get.

I'd say it's been steadily downhill since th third boss fight.
Starts off well, starts feeling amazing halfway through but then goes downhill a bit in the last third of the game.
Had some fun on highest difficulty. liked that the game makes you to use many of your skills and play aggressive most of the time (them health regenerating fuckers! ). Later part of the game is quite tedious though, All these damage sponges. I so hate the grunts with hammers...they are not hard, just take so many hits and are totally unfun to fight.
The game should have been like 5-6 hours shorter without any other realms to travel. All of them were disappointing.
I have a question I'm going to spoiler tag incase some people find it spoilerish.
just got my first set of side quests, one each from both of the Dwarf brothers and another one from a ghost.
Now my question is, the areas I'm going for these side quests, is it somewhere I'll end up revisiting or are they specifically made for these quests. Right now I've entered the mine area to find the dwarf with the ring. Is this the only time game will push me in this direction? I ask because this will somewhat shape how I'll continue the side missions.
If the game will shuffle me into those areas anyway, I'll hold off on doing the side missions until I get to their respective areas in the story, if not I'll continue to explore the world as I do a mixture of both.
Had the same thing. Couldn't pick it up on entering the area. I ignored it and continued with the level, then came back, and it let me pick it up on my way back out.
The post-game area Nilpheim is really starting to grind my gears. Finally found an anchor of fog. And no matter what I couldn't find my way back :| .
Yes, I know its supposed to be a baseball diamond but I kept getting turned around :|
Oh I know. But sometimes I get confused on which way I came because the two hallways look the same. Its a circle. As long as you don't exit any room the same way you entered it (except the two rooms that are dead ends) you should always get out easily.

I went out of my way to retrieve that stupid talisman only to find out the timing is more strict than fucking Bayonetta.
Is it an intentional parallel to Týr that more than one enemy bites Kratos' right arm? One of them is even in a mandatory cutscene.
Very lucky to be able to work with many talented and hard working folks.
Just discovered trials in Muspelheim.
Almost at the end of the game and I never even thought to explore this realm. Game is incredible.
XD, yeah the window is pretty short, but it's awesome when you land it. However once you beat the Valkyrie in this gif (Kara) you get a talisman which lets you manually use realm shift by pressing L1+O, lasts longer than the dodge and is also instant, as soon as you press the button combination you're in realm shift.I went out of my way to retrieve that stupid talisman only to find out the timing is more strict than fucking Bayonetta.
At least she leaves herself vulnerable after you dodge all 3. And she telegraphs it with the yell.
It is ugghhh they take so much damage too even if you get them off you dont have no time to attack.
You will revisit the area, but they won't look the same.Throughout the story the water level of the lake changes due to the world serpent moving around. This reveals more of the terrain around the lake and the explorable areas get bigger. Its actually pretty smart level design.
I know nothing about game design or development, but the lake does make me wonder:You will revisit the area, but they won't look the same.Throughout the story the water level of the lake changes due to the world serpent moving around. Gonna spoiler this just in case, but
I used the Lost Tyr gear for most of the back half of the game, but I'm just barely breaking Level 5 into Level 6 with it, and the world has enough Level 8 encounters that I just can't manage to win.
Should I just beeline to Muspelheim and get the armor the stuff for the armor there, then off to Nifelheim for the same?
I dunno if I missed any better sets on the way, or if the best gear has to be crafted, or what. I just wanna explore old areas without two Wulvers immediately offing me.
I know nothing about game design or development, but the lake does make me wonder:
So before the water level dropped, was everything underwater already there? I mean, was the whole map already loaded, but you just can't see the areas under the water? Or is there two maps, one for before the water level dropped, and one for after?
