Netflix does a lot of very short notice releases on their content for some reason.
Wow, my partner and I just finished our rewatch of the first 3 seasons last week and he's been pushing for us to start season 4 again and I just had a feeling we should wait...
I was wondering if this recut would actually ever air, didn't they originally talk about that back in 2013? When they talked about it they said they recorded new narration and everything.

Season 4 is a weird season in that a re-watch really doubles down on how entertaining it is, more so than your first watch.
Really excited for the re-cut though, trimmed and recut to 22 regular season episodes is gonna be very cool, I hope.

Same. Part of it was the format, part of it was the running time of the eps. There were some good jokes to be had, but I couldn't power through after a handful of episodes. Will definitely give this a look.

To long and it is a very vague thing. If a date was part of that release sure it would have been added. It has been rumored for the summer the past few days.
I am excited to rewatch season 4 this chronological way. And more excited for the upcoming season 5.
Considering they said they would do a re-edit 5 years ago and it's only coming out now, it does feel like Kingdom Hearts.
People here really acting like "A New Attitude" from season 4 wasn't the best episode in the series
Season 4 was amazing as is, as long as you watched every episode.

The original season 4 was very rewarding on rewatch. I really love it. If you never rewatched it, you should. That season arguably deserved a rewatch more than the original 3.
Incredibly excited to see this new Remix version too. I imagine it'll be a very different experience shining a light making things feel new as well as featuring many new pieces (narration at the very least).

Cool. Maybe this time i'll actually see the whole thing. Tried season 4 two times and i stopped after a couple of episodes on both attempts.
Season 4 is incredible on a rewatch. Tobias, Maeby, Buster, and Lucille's episodes are fine. GOB's and George Micheal's are on par with, if not better than, the rest of the series.
Here's hoping.
Maybe people will stop acting like Michael wasn't always terrible too, even if it's because they just forget when he's intercut with his awful siblings.

The remix had been rumored to have been finished but unreleased for unknown reasons. Now we know why -they wanted to use it as marketing for S5.

Regardless, this will be a VERY interesting lesson and case study in how editing is integral to film/tv.
Sounds good to me. I actually enjoyed S4, and hopefully this new format will get more people to enjoy it.
