I've scrolled past it a few times on Netflix and was a little intrigued. I'll definitely give it a shot once I wrap up the shows I'm watching at the moment after hearing it's actually rather good.

Also, side note, I'm not Spanish but I live in Spain and it makes me laugh to hear, I presume, Latin Americans not liking the Peninsular Spanish accents when all I ever hear from people here, especially my girlfriend, is how they can't watch anything dubbed with Latin American accents. Thankfully, everyone just sounds "Spanish" to me, haha.

Great show!

After being used to the shit Spanish TV is I can't believe they could produce something nice lol

It has some bad parts of course and there are some plot holes here and there, but no production can be perfect.

Really liked Nairobi, Moscow and Helsinki, really hated Tokyo, Rio and fucking Arturito. Berlin was an absolute disgusting piece of shit through all the show but you have to love him lol

It has been renewed for a third season with a new storyline and most of the original cast.

Huh? Are you going to call me a xenophobe or something because I believe the Spanish accent sounds weird and too funny to be taken seriously the way it is spoken? Chilean Spanish sounds like that for a lot of Latin American native Spanish speakers too. Don't try to see things where they are not.

Yeah, I'm in for a new season. I feel it's likely to not be as good, but the characters they've built up are amazing so there's still a lot of potential in it.

I was fine with just the 2 seasons. After reading it is Netlix's most watched original foreign language show I'm not surprised it is getting another season.

Who is behind the one mask that's on? Raquel?

Please be

I mean I'd watch a new season but the end scene of the 2nd was painful. They'd need to kick off big to draw me in.

Just finished it and really enjoyed it. Berlin being such a piece of shit was a nice contrast to the rest of the group who I found really likable. Tokyo pulled some really dumb shit, but I couldn't stay mad at her. <3

I don't know what they'd do for a 3rd season, I feel like the show wrapped up kinda nicely.

Watched the final chapter a few minutes ago. Great ending, not the best option, but I can't get mad at it.

Watched the 2 seasons in Spain, show is really great even though some parts are really stupid. It was the first show to rival the first season of Prison Break for me in term of "I need to keep watching this". If you have finished BOTH seasons:

Third season was confirmed this week and I have no expectation that it will be nice any good - just like Prison Break

Finished the series today, and had so much fun. It isn't ''cult and complex'' but who cares? I don't remember having this much fun with a story in a long time, even knowing it had its flaws. Loved it!

I also loved Inside Man when I watched it as a teen, so I believe the seed was planted. The Professor is my absolute favorite char but loved Raquel, Nairobi, and Helsinque was such a figure. Berlin is the most controverted character, hated him in some moments - the actor is awesome - but this shows how the show built their stories well and made the audience care about them - something that I personally feel less and less in most shows I gave a try recently.

I recommend watching in Spanish with subs, in case of non-Spanish speakers.

Fun fact: This show was a HUGE SENSATION in Brazil. I wonder if it has anything to do with people pissed at the institutions and the government lol

Much better, in my opinion. I felt like 3%'s actors are weak and the plot kinda messy, and this doesn't happen in La Casa de Papel, which actually have these points as strong ones.

It was a real surprise to me that S2 followed so quickly. Blasted through 'S2' in a few days. Absolutely loved the the show and its characters. Some really great acting here. Especially Berlin, Tokio, Raquel and the Professor are great characters throughout the series. Helsinki, Nairobi and Denver also really grew on me.

Really wondering what they would do with a third season, I'll definitely watch it.

I didn't really like the show, but it was alright. I'll cone back for more. I didn't think the writing was particularly good and I didn't like Tokyo.

I got past the different Spanish accents thing such a long time ago as I consume a lot of media from all over Latin America as well as Spain since I was very young. It all sounds different but in the end it's the same shit. Most confusing for always ends up being heavy sevillian accents talking at full pace. Even then, no need to be mean about them, none of the "suck".

Fuuuuuuuuck. I'm regretting starting this show so late at night but I needed something to sleep to so I finished episode 1 and thought to myself wtf? Why did this and Death Note even being mentioned in the same sentence?

Then when I continued onto episode 2 and the phone conversation between the two ended I got chills down my spine because of how familiar of a feeling this was. I'm going to binge the fuck out of this

I think because of the geographical proximity, this show has been the hit everyone's talking about in my home country, Portugal. I watched it in Spanish with Spanish subtitles because well, while I'm not fluent with Spanish by any means, I can understand it alright and it's a good exercise on translation, I guess, ahaha. Now, I just watched the first episode, and I freaking loved it. I have a weak spot for comedy and I thought there were some great comedy moments in there, especially in the van and the PIN code joke, ahaha. I can't remember the last time I felt this thrilled and emotionally invested in characters I had just met. I feel like I still know nothing about them, but the final scene with Rio and Tokyo crushed my fucking heart. So yeah, this episode was a mist of emotions, and I enjoyed every second of it. I am kind of curious to what exactly is gonna happen for them to have 2 seasons of a heist, but we'll see, I guess, ahaha.

Loved the show! Some scene were a bit forced, but overall i liked it!

But i don't really see the point of a third season, the ending was good enough as it is! The heist is over, they won! The title wouldn't even make sense anymore

it will end up like prison break at this point, lol

I don't think I've ever been into a show as much as this one. I seriously love it.

I finished the first season earlier and it was pretty great, even with the weaker subplots. I'm looking forward to starting the second half tomorrow.

Gotta bump this thread.
Just got done binge watching the entire series. Sure, it got its flaws and some of the characters do some really stupid shit. But damn if it wasn't enjoyable from start to finish.

I have no idea if season 3 will be able to be as good, but I'm happy that some of the cast will be back.

Berlin was MVP.

I started watching this recently and I was blown away. The show is just so exciting and the characters are great. My favourites are Moscow, Nairobi, and Berlin. Even the police side is interesting thanks to a strong character in Raquel and her interactions with the conniving Professor.

I have a few episodes left of the first season and have been watching it in Spanish with subs. If anyone is still on the fence, just give it one episode. The first episode is not the greatest but it should be more than enough to intrigue you enough for more.

I am sorry i just finished the series and i am baffled as to how this show has gotten such praise...

Honestly baffled.

The show is cheesy as fuck, full of cliches, lazy writting and some unbelievably ridiculous plot twists...

Not to mention some of the most irritating female characters ever like Tokyo.

The action the dialogue... jesus who wrote these action scenes?? The spanish police is absolutely laughable apparently!

The entire cast seems like a bunch of complete idiots who have zero focus on the task at hand... and the professor... jesus...

I dont know i usually find something to like on highly regarded shows, but this thing felt so bad that i literally just wanted for it to end. I cant quite understand how much i dislike this show in comparison to how much so many like it....

Tokyo fucking sucks, her presence seems more motivated by the need to have a...traditionally sexy person in the cast rather than something else.

I got through season 1 and am onto the second. Show is really fun despite how overly emotional and dramatic they tend to act.

Nairobi is by far the best of the bunch. Berlin is a real slimy, entertaining, and charismatic piece of shit; he's fun to hate. Arturito I just plain hate.

Bumping this. Just finished season 2 and.... it's not bad. It gathered huge popularity here in my country and I decided to check it out. I see the appeal, but I don't see it as a great series at all. Way way wayyyyy to much plot convenience and unlikeable characters. I never felt sympathy for the robbers (which I'm sure isn't the intent of the producers). The police are dumb as fuck, and characters change motivations in a second.

It's still entertaining and was grabbing me. Felt the editing was well done and they didn't drag season 2 as much as season 1. Not sure I want to see more, mind.

A few episodes into Season 2, saw this comment and wanted to chime in

I'm having a problem getting into this show just because, though some of the robbers are likeable enough, they're still thieves who took a whole mess of people hostage. Like, this isn't Ocean's 11 (or 8 or 12 or whatever) where it's a bunch of pros pulling something over on a scumbag. The idea is that you're supposed to sympathetic to what they're doing because... government sucks? Our institutions are broken? You can't trust authority? I just can't see them as more than just a bunch of selfish pricks.
