Ok... I fired up the PSVR the night before after putting it away since December (needed to focus on school). I played GT Sport in December and I loved it. Played it a day ago and I hated it. I got nauseous in 10 minutes. Maybe I did something wrong?

Also, I noticed a lot of rainbow lines/aliasing. Much more than I recall from December.

Edit:

Does Eve Valkyrie require PS+?

Some good news for Ark: Park owners. From PR:

Free Locomotion at Last
In even better news, the developers have been hard at work on movement systems – and the game has now been updated with free locomotion! Expect the patch to drop very soon.

Also, the team has addressed concerns from PSVR owners – the PSVR version's graphics will be greatly improved thanks to a patch that should hit around mid-May.

All of the following issues have been fixed/adjusted:
  • Character creation interface position.
  • Instances of blurry text.
  • Stuck spots in tutorials.

Downward Spiral: Horus Station is on its last stretch and I thought I would raise some awareness of it here.

https://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/downward-spiral-horus-station-ps4/

There are a whole bunch of previews and articles I can link of people that have tried the game, as well as some Dev Diaries and a 17 min demo of the game running on PC.

I'll be happy to answer any questions you guys have on the game if interested.

Things to expect.
• Atmospheric and mysterious solo or two player online co-op zero-g sci-fi thriller
• A complete environmental storytelling experience without dialogue or cinematics
• Totally new way to experience movement in zero g
• Electronic ambient soundtrack composed by platinum selling HIM frontman Ville Valo
• Range of bolt throwers, rail guns, grappling magnets and electro magnetic devices to use against threats
• Optional Explorer mode that completely removes threats leaving the story and puzzles
• 8 player zero g deathmatch, survivor and horde modes
• Playable in Flat or PSVR mode
• Support move controller

Can't say the price just yet but expect a price and release date soon.

Some preview links and quotes:

Finnish preview, so just translate it into your browser hehe

Thanks for posting! I had never heard of this game and it looks great :) Nice to see a Finnish dev team too, I'm almost a neighbor, as a Swede and dev-to-be. I hope it goes well for you!

March last year I got my first USB-C device, a OnePlus 3T. It felt like a nightmare having a different cable than absolutely everything else. In the meantime my dad and mom got USB-C phones, my girlfriend got one this week, I also got a Chromebook Plus and suddenly the USB-C is the new standard at home. Except that I just bought the Move controllers and THEY ARE MINI-USB. What the fuck is Sony thinking? MINI-USB in 2018. For a PS4 peripheral, that uses micro-USB in its controllers. WHY. WHY. WHY.

Because its the same tech as PS3 moves, I mean basically the same controllers. So same cable as for Dualshock3

Looks promising, After playing Farpoint with a friend in co-op it really is a much better experience seeing you're partner up close in person, I hope Horus station allows that and not the floating hand aspect many go for. Story driven and no cutscenes to interrupt the flow of the game sounds much better aswell.

Sony did update the controllers with micro-USB to match PS4 peripherals.

But for Moves, since you're invariably charging 2 at a time, I recommend a dedicated charger like this:

Sounds and looks very promising :)

Will it have some PS4 Pro enhancements in VR ?

Sadly at release it won't have any pro enhancements. Except for the default standard of games running better on the pro.

But I'll push to see if we can add some down the line as an update.

The game is pretty immersive as is in VR. But the tangible nature of the controllers really make for a wonderful experience. Add a friend to coop and the feeling of isolation is gone and it's a lot of fun. Deffo the best way to play the game.

Not sure what you mean about the floating hand. But you can hold ok to any surface, including your partner to float around.

If you're ever visiting you should drop by. =)

It's a pretty small team but it's also one with a lot of experience and diversity. So it makes for some fun dev and ideas.

So I'm having Rick and Morty party tomorrow. I am picking up Virtual Rick-ality, but would like to know what is the best, 15 minute session part of the game so everybody can try it for themselves.

Also, how long is the game?

FINALLY GOT PS VR!

Bound blew my mind. The free multiplayer games pack is great. Doom is... hard to control if you don't use a dualshock. RE7 made me jump and I almost fell down the stairs.

Cannot wait to play more, and for more games to come out.

Not me as much a pub in my city. I'm just bringing VR there for friends and people to try it, not sure what's wrong with that...

Pretty sure Minter brought PSVR to the pub for people to play Polybius when he was writing it.

Everyone, buy Polybius. It hasn't sold enough yet to generate royalty payments.

Just got Farpoint. Didn't get the Aim controller but will get that down the road. It starts out slow but I'm liking it a lot. First shooter in VR.

I bought Polybius at launch because I'm a huge Jeff Minter fan. I'm a huge Jeff Minter fan because Tempest 2000 is one of my favorite action game experiences of all time when I had it on the Atari Jaguar.

However, I cannot bring myself to buy Tempest 4K, ironically, because he allowed it to come out without the PSVR option that was originally planned. After Wipe Out (and Colony Wars), it was the main classic franchise that I wanted to experience in virtual reality.

Atari as IP holder and publisher has final say. There's nothing he and Giles could do to *not* allow it.

Honestly the best chance for a PSVR patch is if it sells well.

I want to support Indie VR devs, but I'm not a super fan of Tempest style games. So, I'll pick it up at next sale, hopefully it will click more than TxK.

Polybius plays really, really differently than TxK or T2K. You may be surprised.

Let's not pretend that TxK's VR mode wasn't up and running. VR was going to be the new hook for the next Tempest release designed by him, and they cut it out. I don't care who gets the blame, but I'm keeping my $$$ unless it gets brought back.

As much as I want indie games (and this one in particular) to succeed, I would never expect anyone to buy a game they are not interested in.

Having said that, I personally enjoyed this a lot more than any Tempest game.

Polybius is more a racing game than a Tempest-clone.

If you don't like Tempest, doesn't mean you won't like Polybius. Even if you don't like racing games, doesn't mean you won't like Polybius. If you like your ears, eyes and mind fried, then you should buy Polybius.

If you ever threw loose change into an Arcade machine to check out a game, then that's the price Polybius goes for on most sales.

OH!

You can see the full body.

1n6a7wc.png

A bit of an outdated screen. Game looks a lot better now.

That's awesome then, Adds so much realism/immersion seeing your partners full body. Me and a friend need another fix in VR. Horus Stayion looks the next space adventure for us!

Also pro enhancements would be fantastic, Love the look and atmosphere of this game.

I'm Farpoints biggest fan, Works really well with the controller to be fair, Graphics are some of the best around in VR. Shooting is tight and enemy variety gets better. Can crouch and have full tracking of the weapon.

Also has co-op levels to do with the dlc cryo levels which are the best looking levels in the game and possibly VR( especially 2nd one).

Hope you stick with it and keep enjoying it.

Oh I will! I started by sitting down but I realized it's much better while standing. The story is starting to get interesting too.

I wish the Farpoint+Aim bundle was cheaper and/or more available here :/

Edit: Is Island Time VR any good? Sounded like fun in the trailer at least.

You don't actually need the AIM for Farpoint, The DS4 also has full motion control so you can tilt it, look
Down sights etc. Time VR is a fun shooter for what it is to be fair.

Yeah standing is all due to preference, I mixed it up aswell, The feel of the guns in your hand with those visuals are second to none. So clean. I liked the Story aswell.

I really hope next gen Playstation console supports a wider variety of headsets or that PSVR2 is fully compatible with PC.

I think it's safe to say you can expect a definite no on the former and a highly unlikely on the latter.

The first doesn't make any sense, because it is exactly the strength of a console (VR) system to have a fixed profile. And they didn't show any interest in allowing you to use PSVR on PC either, can't see that changing.

But PC headsets keep going down in price and / or improving in quality. So eventually it won't hurt as much to explore both ways.

Ain't getting my headset until wednesday-thursday but there are a few games on sale on PSN for a few more day. Any opinions from you guys on the games/deals?

Batman VR. -50% ~10€. I do know this one had positive reception but apparently it really should be experienced with Move controllers (which I probably won't be getting until like next month along with Skyrim)?

Psychonauts In the Rhombus of Ruin -70% ~6€. Good discount and seemingly decent reviews. That said I have not played the OG Psychonauts if that matters.

No Heroes Allowed VR -40% ~20€. I don't think I have ever heard of this one. Easily the most pricey one so dunno what to think. Reviews are pretty mediocre doe but on the plus side it doesn't need move controllers.

I don't neccessarily need more games but if they are worth it + a good deal then might as well.
