Faced a rank 1 quest rogue, last 5 cards still didn't have my Gul'dan and I lost, and he non stop BMing me.

And then the next game I faced him again, and he stayed silent cuz he was losing.

I wish auto squelch is a thing.

Skull of the Man'ari negates all costs, but I guess you can't strike off a card because of what another card negates...........

It's tough because I think SoM is a pretty fair card. It's five mana to do nothing and you risk getting it oozed. In the absence of Doomguard or Voidlord, probably no one would play it. (Kind of reminds of the Warlock Cabal leader). Voidlord isn't a problem by itself. Doomguard isn't a huge problem by itself. Cube, Skull, and Lackey aren't a huge problem by themselves (though Cube is close because you can abuse charge mechanics like DG and Devilsaur), it's just them all working together coupled with Warlock's ability to draw via their hero power.

I don't know how you balance them. I guess you could do something like Doomguard (Battlecry; Charge) or take the Demon tag off of Voidlord. Who knows, mayne?

My turn 6 is crazy. Don't question my defile, I'm terrible at math LOL. And I used nether instead of hellfire because I didn't realize I had 2 hellfire xD, but it didn't matter.

The package is also not the problem. The problem is that Warlock with the greatest weakness being dealing damage to yourself and always having lower life now has insane loads of healing available. 2x Doom Pact (which, ironically, helps the package by killing your Lackeys), 2x Spellstone, 2x Soul Sacrifice, Bloodreaver Gul'Dan. That's 36 damage healed outside of Gul'Dan + Hero Power. Warlocks should NOT have this much healing.

It is kind of strange how some "class identities" have been thrown out the window recently. Warlocks always had to find neutral sources of healing to offset their self-damage. That's why the class has had to run Farseer, Healbot, Reno and Funnelcakes in past metas. But now they have a plethora of powerful class-based heals.

And yet, Hunter still hasn't had a consistent form of card draw since Buzzard got nerfed almost four years ago.
(Wow. I'm now realizing I've been playing Hearthstone for four years...)

scarlet I tried using your deck around Rank 9 and didn't have much success (IE, I dropped all the way down to 0 star Rank 10). I'm hoping you can help me learn better why this works for you. I played quite a bit of Cubelock up to Rank 6 last season (I'm a pretty casual player and definitely don't have the time to get to Legend if I'm even good enough to do it).

I felt like a lot of the time I had many useless cards in my hand. Sacrificial Pact and even the one that targets any minion of mine (drawing a blank on the name) seem to have very few targets I'd actually want to hit. When are you using these, other than targeting Lackey obviously?

I struggled a LOT against Face hunter. I know that's a weak matchup already to some extent, but I felt like I didn't even have a chance. Any advice there?

I've been crafting tons of stuff to just experiment and have fun. I feel like I might be spreading myself too thin on the decks and perhaps wasting a ton of dust, but constantly trying new stuff has been enjoyable. Probably gonna craft Hagatha and another Snowfury Giant to try that Overload Shaman deck.

I bought way too many packs and think I'll stop (granted willpower prevails, but I bought 2x 40 packs over the weekend and got one legendary each time so I'm pretty turned off) until the next expansion. I'm excited to try the single player expansion in a couple weeks and I'll try to keep laddering until then... but I have been getting frustrated often. I guess I could try to make a top meta deck but I've been wanting to play Rogue and Priest for some reason. Spiteful Summoner/Lady in White Priest have been my go-to and I felt guilty running Summoner at first since it felt like cheating (and I do occasionally get the win as soon as they see the 10 drop) but I've often struggled against Druid or Warlock Cube shenanigans. That card seems the most broken to me, you always get a double huge drop with no chance to answer since they destroy it on the same turn. I know I haven't been playing optimally though since in the last couple matches I could pinpoint errors I made that may have been enough to win the match if I had played better (faster really since I make errors rushing my turn when the rope is burning down, but when there are 7 enemies and my hand is full my brain ends up chugging along I get overwhelmed).

Aggro matches are a different matter but I usually feel at least like I have some decent potential at stopping the onslaught, I'm considering taking out the Summoners and trying to put in a Mass Dispel or Circle of Healing/Archenai Reaper but those Summoners do win a ton of matchups.

Here are my approximate decklists (made by someone else)

Odd Rogue - http://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/aojirus-witchwood-1-legend-odd-tempo-rogue/ (swapped Sonya for something else, I think Marsh Drake currently, also tried a Tempo Keleseth Rogue)
Lady in White Spiteful - http://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/...gend-witchwood-lady-in-white-spiteful-priest/

80 packs with 2 legendaries is literally the worst you can get, I'm sorry. :(

It sucks but I also did the pre-order and got 5 legendaries from those 70 packs (Shudderwock, Lady in White, Dorian Dollmaster too which I was all excited about) so I know it averages out overall. This is my first expansion buying a large number of packs though (did the math and I bought 270 packs), but I figured it was time since I really enjoyed Dungeon Run last expansion and was looking to get more into the game (I'd played on and off for awhile). I got 12 legendaries total, with one of those being the freebies so I'm a bit below average if 1 in 20 packs is the normal, I should have 13.5.

I should be able to hold off and just buy packs with gold for now. I really just wanted to get Chameleos and maybe Tess Greymane still. There are some classic or older set legendaries that I wouldn't mind so maybe I'll start saving dust too.

Man I have just not been able to find a deck that I enjoy in Wild this Season. Been playing some of Secret Paladin, but it feels too slow compared to the dude variants. Elemental Mage is good fun in Wild but I'm getting destroyed by Warlock and Paladins so its a no go.

Standard I like Elemental mage either the Spiteful variant or not, but I haven't played that many games this season to know much about the meta.

I know people want more home grown decks to be around, but some people try to use cards that simply don't make sense.

Just played a Baku hunter that had two stonehill defenders and explosive shot.

Those cards make absolutely no sense in baku hunter.

Feels so much better doing quests now without the 40 gold options. There'd be times where I see a 40g quest and just decide it's better to not play today and reroll it tomorrow since I may accidentally do the 40g quest without actually attempting it

I always spend gold to buy pack in the first month of expansion.

I want ashmore and azalina. Still had 10k dust, but I don't wanna craft.

I think I might get 40 more packs next month when there's a more settled meta that I can spend some dust on.

I only play decks I've crafted myself (I feel way too dirty playing a netdeck) and my process for deck building involves me having a basic idea of the deck I want and my win condition, I then throw the deck together in about 5 minutes and start to play it. Then through multiple games I slowly refine the deck into something decent (though never anything near as good as the top netdecks).

Given that process, my decks often start off with some real questionable cards in them that I have to slowly weed out. I'd imagine you're playing against some people like me, just experimenting with an early deck and seeing what works and what doesn't.

Sometimes I fantasize about making a Hunter deck that wins through slowly controlling the board and pelting you down with the hero power as a win condition. It's a horrible idea, obviously, but I might use those cards to try and do it!

But a baku deck is severely limited to get an upgraded hero power and tends to need cards to support that hero power. Having super slow control cards do absolutely nothing to support the hero power.

Sure, but that's the process. I often put really dumb cards in my decks at first too, then look at them later and go, what the hell was i thinking?"

I like playing against odd paladin but even paladin is miserable. Probably going to be my second auto concede deck.

I was going to make an even Paladin deck when I unpacked Genn Greymane but that deck is expensive! I was missing 2 legendaries and 6 epics from the currently popular list.

I'd like to approach deck building this way but I don't think my brain is good at it. I currently usually start from a list online or look up a list given I want to include 1 or 2 certain legendaries then make substitutions based on what I have. I'll occasionally tweak after that after I find certain cards to be not useful or wishing I had certain answers for popular decks. Do you play Casual at first so you don't affect your rank? I might try that to encourage myself to just experiment.

Playing against warlock is soooo unfun, unless I get the perfect tech draws I'm doomed. Too many doomfists this game. Didn't get Geist to stop the pacts, didn't get Harrison to stop his weapon, no,chance. If your weapon break is in the bottom of the deck they draw and pop out things for the entirety of the game, seems fair.

So those cards are for Control, when Baku Hunter is Aggro? Explosive Shot seems good as you would need some board clears eventually.

Nah, after the first few turns hunter baku ignores the board and everything is directed face. It can't hold board control vs. stuff like paladin decks so teching towards that just makes it worse off.

I could play casual but I don't. I'm lucky enough to not care much about my rank in Hearthstone because I know it's gonna be bouncing all over the place as I try out new deck ideas. I highly recommend my method of deckbuilding though. It's a ton of fun to throw something interesting together and just see if it works. I wind up using a lot of "fun" cards this way too. They may not be great cards, but who cares, I wanna use them!

Hmmmm nerf warlock so that guldan only brings back mana cost 3 and below minions? Bringing back both tauntlords and doomfists along with a hero power that damages and heals seems to,be what is overwhelming.

which one has been more powerful for you? even paladin?
I think even Paladin is better right now, though odd Paladin can end games faster. Even Paladin seems to have answers for everything.

The DK wasn't even played much when Frozen Throne first released. I don't think it's too powerful. It's just the combination of everything that they have, which is why I think it's a hard deck to nerf. No one thing seems OP on its own. Other archetypes may suffer with whatever nerfs come. I really think dark pact is a good target. If it was 2 mana, then you'd have to wait a turn longer for Lackey horseshit

Dark pact nerf its useless given the new spell damage a minion for 2 get a free Voidlord.
