Soo I'm confused as fuck. Is the Gundam 00 sequel just the stage play or are we also going to get an actual anime sequel?

Look at this sexy motherfucker.

They came out kinda blurry but fuck it. I love this guy. I managed to put every decal except the water ones because ain't nobody got time for that.
Glad you liked it. A job well done for a first Master Grade.
The markings for Mk-II are dry transfers, you don't use water to apply them. Instead, you place them with low tack tape (there's a diagram in the manual) and rub on the back to fix them into the surface.
Dry transfers are time consuming and a bit stressful to apply but you'll find that the end result looks excellent and is worth your time.

You're right. I just added most of them and it looks much better. I only fucked one of the knee ones up so now it's asymmetrical there but no big deal.

For those of us in North America, the Trans-Am MGs of the 00 Seven Sword/G and 00 Qan[T] will be regular (though limited) releases. They will still be P-Bandai in Japan.

Where are the new photos? :D
When I mess a decal after having already applied the symmetrical one I'll usually remove the one already applied (it happened to me with the Acguy torpedo markings and that were 6 tiny ones) but that's up to the individual and their commitment to symmetry.

I never got into gundam. What would a good entry point be? Should I simply watch all series chronologically?
Would love to get your recommendations. Thanks!

Gundam Wing is a good starting point, requires no prior knowledge, was many peoples first gundam.

Gundam Seed is also a great starting point and has been redone in the HD as well, its really fantastic and has an awesome follow up.

Id also suggest Gundam Age as it was my 2nd and was pretty phenomenal even after watching many other gundam series afterwards. The plot is refreshing, entertaining, and enjoyable and the character designs and music are some of the best that Gundam has to offer. Only Seed and Wing out do it.

Definitely start with Gundam 0079 first. The original 39-ep anime series is a bit old with some spotty animation so you can save time by watching the trilogy of compilation movies (and on that note, you might wanna wait till the end of this week to see if they're gonna reboot the series). Another alternative is reading the Mobile Suit Gundam manga adaptation - it got a quality hardcover treatment for the English release and I heard it's excellent.
After that then yeah, go chronologically with Gundam 08th MS Team, Gundam 0080 (which I think it's the best entry bar none), 0083 Stardust Memory (aka the Top Gun of Gundam) and onward to Zeta, ZZ, CCA and other standalone series.

Very few people liked Gundam Age - I think it might be an acquired taste and not for everyone. I would not suggest it as your first foray into Gundam.

This week's episode of GBD got surprisingly real. A little too generic and lifeless still, but Kyoya is fucking real, man.

Edit - Also agreed with Enron. With all due respect, do not start with AGE. If you can swallow early 80s animation, 0079 movie is okay. If you're down with manga, Gundam Origin is THE best starting point in my opinion. If you're not digging Gundam's story check out G Gundam/Gundam Build Fighters.

I started with Iron Blooded Orphans, and I would recommend it just as a good show, regardless of whether or not you're looking to get into Gundam as a whole. It's free on the GundamInfo youtube channel.

Well, finally decided to pull the trigger and start painting my kits. First step did not work out as well as I had hoped. Primer was too thick and had visible dripping layers even after it dried. It also built up inside some parts and gaps and resulted in a bad look. I have to figure out a way to spray inside the house as it's just constantly too windy outside.

Others also told you what are the best shows, but a bit of warning about DTL. He's the resident boy love joker and has really strange taste in general.

Thanks all :) Is there a legal way to watch the series in France other than buying the DVDs or BluRays?

The official site Gundam.info will sometimes put full series on Youtube.
Right now there's Wing, 00 and Iron Blooded Orphans which are OK as first Gundams but I still feel that 0079 (series or movies depending on available time) is the right place to start.
There's a bit more there but I don't think the ones not mentioned are good starters.

US Youtube also has Unicorn, and Build Fighters/Try/Divers.

Hulu and Netflix has various series depending on region.

priming kits after they've been assembled is challenging. what you have to do is prime the individual parts after clipping and sanding them, or build smaller sub-units and then prime those.

Also, you dont need a thick coating on them.

If you have primer dripping, then you are spraying TOO CLOSE. back it up. Also, never keep spraying in one spot. keep the sprayer moving across and up and down. It's better to have too little primer on something than TOO MUCH and you can't go back.

The person asking is in france, so I dont think hulu is a thing in france.
The Youtube series mentioned by pantsattack are also available here in Catalonia so I guess they'll be in France as well but those are the ones I described as not good series to start on. Too many references to previous works.
As for Hulu or Netflix, I don't know if Hulu is available in France or what selection Netflix has there.

I didn't have enough of those clips on sticks things to hold everything separate so I decided to keep some parts attached. Also, one of the reasons I sprayed too close was because the wind was so strong so I stayed too far it wouldn't reach the kit. That's why I feel I need to figure out an indoor spraying solution.

I looked on crunchyroll and there is no 0079 or MSG available, so I guess I'll start looking for dvds... thank you for your help :)

This is very interesting to see almost a day by day progress for the work on this Age 2 Magnum. It's basically being sharpened into a box of razor blades. The clear parts are now pointed as are the bottom of the funnels, actually they were cut extended and reattached. The white on the rifle. Even the toe tips had a board glued on just to be sanded down for the extra pointiness. The newest work is extending the cheekbones to closely match the art.

The only UC thing I've seen are 08th Team. ;)

I guess their content with timed series on youtube/ and using hulu and cr. Doesnt seem like most anime companies are in a rush to move their catalog to netflix when they have their own services, especially since stuff gets removed from netflix as well.

I was thinking more with financial support of a new series not so much the back catalog at this point. Netflix seems more interested now in helping produce content.

I would also recommend looking at a few of the Gundam's themselves, main characters or otherwise to see which style you might be interested in. A series that has a "cool Gundam" in it might be a compelling way to start the franchise as well, especially since despite us all being massive Gundam heads, we all have varying opinions about the franchise high points haha.

I would vote Iron Blooded Orphans as a decent entry point. I got my friends into Gundam last year with this one. If you want something that is just compelling to watch with a cool story even without all the franchise backstory I would recommend Thunderbolt, 08th MS Team, 0080 War in the Pocket, Original 0079, Wing(I'm pretty meh on it), or SEED. That order is by length as well. Thunderbolt is my personal favorite entry point since its audio visual style is top notch, story is pretty dramatic and harsh, and then it gets weird... but its only 8 short episodes so can be watched in a day.

Also after inhaling a TON of paint fumes (despite living in a country where I can easily get a mask for daily use) my Black Panther tribute Gundam is starting assembly.

This paint scheme is working out better than I thought it would. Can't wait to start adding the glossed black parts to it as well. The matte black, on gold leaf/metallic gold looks hot.

I finished my rewatch of Unicorn. The ending is still weird to me, the whole Banagher almost becoming a "perfected Newtype" thing. What even is a Perfected Newtype? It kinda looked like it would have meant his death.
