Hi. My wife is binging show, and I started watching along when I can. We just got to Darryl going the poker game.

Without love, I'd see all the show.

WATCH IT ALL! YOU HAVE FRIENDS! YOU DEFINITELY HAVE FRIENDS!

It is funny, because I am the opposite. My wife will not watch it. She only sees random episodes as I watch it, but won't sit and watch the whole series.
Same with Glow.

And everyone here, if you haven't yet, watch Glow on Netflix, dammit!

Is the show not to your wife's liking?

Agreed though. Glow was awesome.

My wife is stubborn. She won't get into shows unless she thinks of it first or we start together. She will see episodes here or there about things and ask questions, but won't dive in unless it is her idea.

The TV cancellation thread's title suggests that this was cancelled, but I couldn't find any posts about it in that thread and a Google search didn't find anything. Does anyone know anything?

My wife saw a twitter post from Rebecca Bloom that they'll be one last 4th season. Saw it last week or two.

Thanks guys. The TV cancellation thread title doesn't really make sense then. But this is a relief

Were any of the CXG fans on Era able to attend the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Live tour dates? I had the pleasure of catching the Boston show earlier this month and really loved it.

The actors had awesome stage presence -- which makes sense since they come from theater backgrounds. They were funny as hell (Rachel especially) during the interstitial segments between songs. Not to mention everyone had amazing live singing chops too. The show's songwriters were on stage playing the backing tracks live on guitar, drum, and piano which really added to the experience. The audience was super into it as well, singing along and the whole 9. In fact, there was a lot of audience participation parts woven into the show. CXG has a great fanbase and it's cool the creative team behind it can show their appreciation that way.

I know the tour has ended, but if they ever do it again I highly recommend going, even if you're a casual fan! Only precaution is that they perform the R-rated versions of the songs from the digital soundtrack releases and racheldoesstuff youtube page, so be aware if you're taking your kids or your younger relatives to the show. Coming to think of it, the interstitials are kinda raunchy too, lol.

The funniest thing this show has done was swap Santino Fontana, who voiced Prince Hans in hit 2013 Disney film Frozen, with Scott Michael Foster, who plays Kristoff in hit ABC fantasy drama Once Upon A Time during the Frozen story arc.

Not sure why this is closed, may close again when find out reason but for now I need to talk about this Greg news somewhere!

"Rachel and I had always been exploring bringing back that character and sort trying to figure out a way to do it in a way that suited our show and also because we felt like we had taken the resolution we wanted for Greg and kind of jammed it into those first 4 episodes of the second season," McKenna told reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour. "We felt like we had completed his arc a bit. Now bringing the character of Greg back, he is part of our storytelling. It's a plot point in the story that the character is reimagined, so it's going to be played by a different actor, which is Skylar."

I'm not sure how I feel about this.

Wait, no - I do know how I feel. Not happy.

I initially thought this was horrible news, but now after reading the article I think it could be really interesting.

Of course it could turn out to be a beautiful, heart stopping, breath taking, life changing shit show.

I wanna see more of Audra Levine. The last time they met she kinda indirectly drove Rebecca to suicide, so yeah...

Thank you for reopening it Penguin . Not sure what happened when this got tossed to Hangouts in-between seasons.
Not sure how I feel about the Greg news, but McKenna and Bloom have earned enough trust in this series to see where this goes.

But I can see them stealth sneaking Fontana back in by the end.

My first knee-jerk reaction was to be annoyed. But I'm sorta excited about the idea behind new Greg now. I do think part of it was that Santino Fontana's busy bringing Tootsie to Broadway and, I dunno, the cast always seemed a little standoffish about him, compared to how effusive they are about each other so I'm not positive that they wanted him back. But I can get behind the storytelling device/creative rationalization that Rebecca has changed a lot in 2 years and now perceives "the one who got away" differently.

Of course, the first thing I did after hearing this news was to look up clips of Skylar Astin singing. Glad they got another actor with Broadway experience. :)

I'm going to guess the new guy is supposed to vaguely seem like the real Greg, and Becks will only think she likes him because of that. Then the real one will come back in the end.

The whole thing about Greg's dad seemed like a way to reintroduce him, so I wonder what will happen with this story line if it's not the same Greg.

Sounds really dumb if its purely just a recast Greg, I honestly don't think they'd do that and there will be some twist to it.

But if they do, well, I shall not stand for it.

If they play it straight, I at least expect a "You look different" from everyone he meets again, and him saying "Why does everyone think I've changed so much?" while sitting at the bar chugging a beer.

Question: I'm on the fence about Crazy Ex-Girlfriend "reimagining" the role of Greg with Skylar Astin. I loved he character's original portrayer Santino Fontana. Was he too busy to return? —Cindy
Ausiello: In a word, yes. "We wrote Santino off the show because he voluntarily left, and now he's going to be in Tootsie on Broadway," leading lady and EP Rachel Bloom explained Monday at TCA. As a result, "We had this really unique opportunity to bring back this almost mythic figure and look at [him] from a different angle and write [him] in a unique way." Bloom, meanwhile, insisted that Greg's facelift will not go unrecognized by her title character. "Rebecca will notice it… and call it out," she revealed. "We are not going to pretend that this [is the same] person. It's not a Becky-on-Roseanne situation where, suddenly, it's a different person."

really bummed about Greg. I wanted him back badly, but not like this. I'd rather they just move on.

I would like to nominate this as the new title. |OT| To clarify yes/no she's still (not) crazy. I hope this helps!
