He might be the UFC's Venom Page, for better or worse. Him vs Tavares next makes some sense, but maybe that's because Brad just one. I sort of want to just say throw him in against some top contenders and see what he's made of, like maybe Gastelum or Weidman.

And that might be it for Condit. An all time fave, but he might be done.

Condit's losses used to give me life, but Jesus fuck he needs to retire.

I just feel sorry for him. I know his business failed but go coach or something.

Ugh....you know, if he fought Matt Brown and lost somehow it wouldn't be as miserable feeling but that sucked. Definitely needs to hang em. I definitely wouldn't take anymore fights with dudes that grind and try to take it to the ground often though , that needs to stop.

Poirier proved that you can keep headhunting (without too much clinching and bodywork) Gaethje and finish him, lol.

Gaethje should have kept hammering Poirier's lead leg, but he wasn't able to stop the headhunting and paid for it.

Gaethje won't be more than a fan favourite gatekeeper ala Cowboy if he doesn't change up his game. He can't just keep trying to stand and brawl with the top level fighters of the division. It's too risky. He will be figured out time and again until he changes it up and shores up the holes in his game.

That was a hell of a fight. Gaethje continually blocking punches with his face is frustrating to watch, though.

It's not just the brawling. It's the leaning on his chin to check all strikes.

If he learned proper defense and walked through necessary shots rather than all of them, he would have much greater success.

His brain will be pudding by 35 if he keeps this up. And his chin will go eventually.

Porier has been pretty resilient through his career. He has had some embarrassing losses but seems to pick himself up well .

Should be on a longer streak if it wasn't for that BS with Alvarez

interesting post fight interview with gaethje. he's adamant that he'll hang it up in a few more fights. but until then he just wants to swang and bang. i can dig it.

That was a fun night of fights overall. Israel is very slick but needs to work on his ground game. I loved how DC and Cruz were throwing shade at each other as well throughout the night (eg. during Tim Boetsch vs Antonio Carlos)

Main event was nuts, I underestimated Poirier's striking.

Here's my prediction, Dustin Poirier vs Lee/Ferguson/Alvarez for interim LW belt sometime late summer/early fall.

I like how Gaethje said he's not interested in winning or losing, just entertaining.
Convenient to say when you have a losing record in the UFC...
