Do you have a source on that? I'm pretty sure I'm one of those at this point, but I'd like to be able to go back to customer service with a link.

Also, how the hell does a place that publishes vinyl run out of vinyl mailers?

I eMailed them an asked. Pretty much everyone I know who ordered it got a tracking update except me. Their response was that half of the orders will be shipped out at the end of the month.

Distant Worlds II came in today and I was surprised to see it was pressed on white this time around, matching the cover. Hoping III and IV do the same thing to keep it consistent.

The records sound great, no popping or noticeable noise. The first Distant Worlds had some bad presses so hopefully that isn't the case with this one. Glad I managed to swipe this since it released out of no where.

A heads up to those who Kickstarted (or preordered) the Tomb Raider arranged album - it's been delayed until August.

I got lucky on the first release I guess in getting a good press, but yeah, this one came out great and looks fantastic. Really pleased with it. Can't wait for the other two, assuming they still do them.

I'm super bummed that I missed out on Katamari and hope Mondo does a reprint. I'll be obsessively waiting for any news about Doom 2016, goddamn that'd be an amazing record to own.

They already announced a reprint. No ETA, though.

First time posting in this thread. Apologies for asking anything dumb.

Been thinking about getting into collecting video game soundtracks on record. Snatcher is available on HMV Japan, but I couldn't find which color variant? Would this happen to be common knowledge?

Also, Stardew Valley soundtrack seems long sold out. Where do people look to buy used, or hear about potential new pressings.

I'll be reading a lot more of the thread tomorrow.

Discogs is a great resource for tracking different pressings of the same album + there's a marketplace built in.

If anyone wants Vol 2 instead of Vol 1 of FF Distant Worlds let me know. I dig the track listing for Vol 1 more and haven't been able to order one. I saw the UK listing but it would not ship overseas.

Update: All Sorted

The clear variant was for retail, so it would most likely be that one. IIRC there's no way to tell other than taking the records out and looking at them.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye out, and I also signed up for notifications if there ever is another pressing. Hopefully that provides some motivation to do so.

Ah, that's too bad, but it would still be nice to have. I'll probably order it this week. Thanks!

That's... a weird choice, maybe? You'd think they'd want to wait for the remasters to be out for certain, so there's more people interested with it fresh on their minds, before they sold it again?
I don't think it's so odd. They are always open to reprints based on demand and the only release they have tried to rule out is Hang On due to both low demand and issues in producing the sleeve. Secondly "summer" may well fit into their schedule and help with lead times by letting them plan the run alongside whatever new release was pencilled in.

Of course it's also possible they have vague knowledge of Sega's plans and know more than we do.

•$80 for the 4x LP
•$25 for shipping

Yeesh

Weirdly the limited 4x LP with the slipmat and CD is offering me USPS shipping, but that's still $20

2x LP all the way for me- it's like they knew a large portion of the fans didn't need every single one of those crunchy ambient tracks. Gimme the raw loudness!

goddamn, big decision to make there :D

at first the missing tracks sounded like ambient, but Harbinger, Vega Core and Mastermind are there too. Buuut, will still probably be just happy with the 2LP set.

Went with the 2x- I'm sure I only recognize some of those 31 tracks and am good with a "best of" release for considerably less.

I'm missing Cyberdemon the most, but then I listen to tracks like The Stench, Residual, Incantation, Death and Exhale, etc. Won't think twice, can always load up the CD if I feel the need.
