Update - Matchmaking is degraded as a result of current account service issues.

Identified - Login is currently blocked across all Epic endpoints, including games, websites, and the Epic Games Launcher.
This is due to a database failure which we are working to resolve as quickly as possible.
In a measure towards resolution, matchmaking will be blocked for a short period.

The 50v50 changes look good.

2 buses
end circle revealed at game start
bunch of ammo increases
players bleed out faster (prob a good thing)

Limited Time Mode: 50V50 v2
Two teams of 50 fight to the finish!
Due to this being a "large squad" mode, Profile Stats will not be tracked. Daily & Weekly challenges will still work, with the exception of the Squad-based challenges ('Place Top 6 in Squads', etc.).
Storm & Map
Each team has a bus, approaching the island from opposite directions. On the map, the friendly bus has a blue outline, enemy has red.
Final storm circle visible on minimap at start.
Players have 10 minutes to loot the map as the storm closes in on the circle, then 5 minutes to fight, and another 5 minutes as the storm shrinks to the end.
Supply drops come in batches of 3-6, fall every two minutes, and only land in the final storm circle.
Added dotted line to map, which indicates the "battle lines" between the two teams. Crossing the line will make running into enemies more likely.
Loot
Farming resources increased 75% over default.
Increased floor loot spawn likelihood by 15%.
Floor Loot spawns double ammo.
Ammo boxes spawn triple ammo.
Chests spawn double ammo & consumables.
Supply drops spawn double ammo, and an extra consumable, resource drop and trap.
Bug Fixes + Mode Improvements
Fixed a bug that created uneven teams where one side could have more than 50 players.
Downed players lose health more quickly than normal (10 health per tick).

Counter it? I shouldn't have to counter it. I should be able to fire back and use the strength of my weapon to its fullest. If I have a tactical shotgun, I should be able to hit someone for at least 140 before they can fire their second pump shot. That's how it's balanced. No ifs. No buts. That's how it was supposed to be.

Also, I'm on PS4, so by the time I hit Circle to build, taking my aiming thumb away from the stick, I'm already dead.

Because there's nothing wrong with it. It's not a loadout that can't be countered, so the delay for it was completely unnecessary. All it did was add a delay to a lot of the guns I now use, which in turn makes the game feel clunky and slow to me. Not to mention less diversity.

At the same time suggesting because there is a counter that doesn't mean it should stay either. I'm absolutely sure, however, they never intended to give people a method to turn a 1 hit kill weapon into a high ROF weapon. They attempted to patch it up temporarily and now implemented a more full addressing of the issue. They even said at the time they would consider other weapons other than the pump and tbh it's good they did.

How? Give me a scenario where double pump can be countered. If someone is standing there and they've already hit me with the first pump, what the hell are they doing in the time it takes me to hit Circle and R1? Because I'm not aiming at all. I'm not going to be firing my weapon. If they are using double pump "right" then I should have no time to react.

It feels slower because it's supposed to feel slower.

And forget the pump. By your own logic there must be nothing wrong with double RPG, surely? Even though it is totally indefensible.

That's my ideal load out. If I want two shotguns then one of those has to go, which alters how I play drastically.

So yes, there's a trade-off for running two shotguns.

It's the delay on pulling these weapons out and how that makes the game feel that I have a problem with.

Was having a good match. Port a fort is fun and useful. I was cornered in a house being spammed by nades and I got out then killed from high ground. Even found another.

PS4 servers just died. However, I think when I see this Battle Pass through, I'm done with BR. Can't stand the shotgun rush meta. Just not my style of game and it's hard to find enjoyment when everyone wants to just ramp their way towards you hoping they can nail that crit shot.

Thank god they've made a lot of QoL improvements to STW in the past couple weeks. I actually find myself looking forward to playing that now more than BR.

I just wanted to use the replay fucking editor and NOOOOOOO. The game kicks me out and I can't get in at all.

Shame Radical Heights is actually pretty shit or I wouldn't mind playing that when Fortnite is down.

No ETA on when the servers are back up. First night I can play since coming down with the flu early Monday morning and it's pretty much been a shit show for their servers.

I was having a good match. I landed anarchy acres, killed one with the burst. Then another guy was spamming grenades at me and I was cornered inside the stables. I threw down a port a fort and got up top. Funny thing is the moment I got up top the grenades killed the bottom floor and the tires, but the tower was supported by the stables so I didn't fall but my opponent couldn't easily chase me since the tired blew up. Then I got a good shot from the stable roof and dropped him.

I shortly thereafter ran into another player who tried shottgun swapping me.......... stilll...... he died. Gave me a chug jug. Then the game went offline while I was chugging away.

That is what I was thinking. It might not even be a great thing to introduce so many people to the game at this stage. I am surprised they have open testing when the game is like 5 months in development. They have performance issues apparently, despite running a lot of stock and blank assets.

I haven't been playing as much recently so only really got to try the first shot accuracy today. I love it. I actually ditched an assault rifle for a hand canon and it worked wonders. I don't have to hesitate whether or not to take the shot anymore. It's great.

you can skip the queue by opening the game from its .exe
What are you and Jimothy doing to get that to work?! When I use the exe directly it automatically has the launcher load first, which then would take me back into the queue. If I rename the launcher, the task ends itself noticing that the launcher is absent.
