For F1 standards, I will honestly say he does fall very much in the mediocre category. Mind you, he is not the only driver to be there and it certainly is enough to not completely be terrible as far as results go in a decent car. But he will not be someone we remember years from now.
I mean didn't senna basically try to run people off the track?

The McLaren Group is now formed of three clear divisions: Applied Technologies, Automotive and Racing. Leadership of the business is simplified, with each division led by a CEO. The layer of McLaren Technology Group is being dissolved from the corporate structure.
The Executive Committee (ExCom), comprising Shaikh Mohammed and Mansour Ojjeh, will continue in its overseeing role.
Jonathan Neale becomes Chief Operating Officer of the McLaren Group. Zak Brown becomes CEO, McLaren Racing. Mike Flewitt continues as CEO, McLaren Automotive. A new CEO of McLaren Applied Technologies is being recruited and will be announced in due course.
Eric Boullier, Racing Director, will report directly to Zak Brown, while John Allert, Chief Marketing Officer, continues to oversee the company's marketing function, reporting into Zak Brown as before.

No idea why Boullier is still with the team... As for Zak Brown, he is all talk, Probably will be outed soon unless McLaren can turn things around.

This is great and all, probably only done because espn got the f1 rights cheap. The early AM time that races air live isn't huge for advertisers in the US, so why not go commercial free for the PR.

The issue isn't really the Strolls. The issue is that their car sucks.
They will complete the transition to a midfield team when Alonso leaves them after this season. All they can hope for is that Lando won't get any better offers.

I really don't understand why you need intervals to show ads. Here in Brazil we have ad overlays during the race, but they never stop showing the races until it ends, and it's been like this since the 80's. I mean, this is the age of distraction...
Did liberty address making cars more competitive when following in dirty air?
For me it may be better to simplify the aero - if there isn't a need or benefit to spend millions on multiple variations of wings and aero for minuscule gain, that can naturally lead to less spend by all teams and help the smaller teams be more competitive. And aero definitely needs looking at - far more than engines IMO
I'd say that this only goes for most drivers in F1. Who remembers drivers like Glock, Buemi, Fisichella or Kovalainen? Frentzen is going to be remembered as the guy who's wife got stolen by Schumacher. Heidfeld? The guy that got replaced mid-season by Bruno Senna. No one is going to care if you haven't won at least a couple of races.
So not even winning multiple races is enough to be remembered in F1? Damn.
To be fair, 75 drivers have won more than one grand prix. Who is supposed to remember them all?
Some drivers have been luckier than others, take Herbet for example, 3 wins, totally average.
If RedBull keeps fucking up like in the first 2 races McLaren might actually just do that lol
By surviving the first 10 laps or so, McLaren managed to beat Red Bulls in Bahrein after all, so I guess their prediction wasn't that far off.
I remember so many people I think on Autosport going. "McLaren were a great team before Hamilton and will be a great team after him." Yup...they were so right. They'll probably come good at some point I hope, but it doesn't seem like it'll be anytime soon.
Hey Buemi will always be remembered as the guy whose both front wheels fell off that one time.
The best part is that he is still moving the steering wheel as if it would make any difference.

Haha. Instincts kicked in, always turn into a slide! Anyway, according to McLaren, these 2018 spec cars will be pulling 7G under braking into that corner!
