Just played the remake. Loved every minute of it. Looking forward to this one.
Not the newest one. I'm talking about Monster Boy Dragon Trap.Got any impressions? I'm interested in hearing about how it controls, enemies, level design, that kind of stuff you would see in a short demo.

Different team, different project altogether.Umh, I noticed just now that the character design is a bit different than the Dragon's Trap.
It looks great there but I doubt it'll look so good as an icon on the 720p screen, too much detail.
Better than I thought, and I shall eat my hat. But nowhere near as nice as the Twitter pic looks on my S8 screen obviously. And on that note, I wish the Switch outputted the UI at 1080p on the TV (just like I wish X outputted its UI at 4K).
Thank you everyone! Glad you like what you see so far!
I'm a big Switch fan myself, Monster Boy is a fantastic fit for this console! Looks amazing on the Switch screen and runs beautifully in native resolutions.
So Thomas, I was wondering. Are there any differences in terms of resolution and other technical stuff between the Switch version and PS4/PS4 Pro? I've had the PS4 version pre-ordered/paid off, but I could see myself changing to the Switch version if they were both 100% the same on my 4k TV..
Are all versions 1080p? As in no 4k on PC, PS4, and XB1?Hi Kyolux,
all console versions will look very similar at launch but at this time I can't 100% guarantee zero visual differences as we use a slightly different texture compression on Switch.
Yes, it's 1080p and uses a method of scaling for larger resolutions (PC version: We plan to support 21:9).
Well, I think it all depends on the reception of the game when it's out. If it gets a high metascore and a decent amount of sales, the chance for a physical copy on Xbox is higher. It's not happening for launch because right now we already have a 20:1 pre-order ratio Switch vs. PS4. I'd expect a low amount of physical pre-orders for Xbox One given the lower hardware install base compared to PS4. And yet - Xbox has a minimum order quantity for discs that's higher than PS4. I also recommend everyone who's interested in physical copies to pre-order the Switch or PS4 version rather sooner than later as it could sell out rather quickly and a reprint is not guaranteed. No Xbox One physical version? If not looks like I might have to skip this game.

Thanks a lot! Yes, we improved the graphics tremendously but it's not only a visual treat. The variety and gameplay ideas that we included in this game is insane. If you look at all material ever released on this game you didn't see more than 5% of the content that we packed into it. It's huge.
I've mostly just lurked when it comes to this game and thread (really looking forward to the game!), but I just want to give a big shout-out to you doing a fantastic job at communicating things, Kern.
Oh boy can't wait to finally play this. Right in time for my summer holiday too, this and Octopath Traveler will get loads of playtime during that time. I'm really glad the game looks better than it used to so good job on improving that and not being content with how it was.

PS4 preorder is now in. Looking forward to when this releases.Well, I think it all depends on the reception of the game when it's out. Just did mine too thanks to the bump, the game is looking great.PS4 preorder is now in. Looking forward to when this releases.
No discrepancy. It's a premium game launch with similar price for physical and digital versions. Is there any price discrepancy between the digital and physical versions on Switch?

I hope this doesn't mean it's a 20h slog filled with... well, filler content. Can we skip dialogue/cutscenes in the game? Thanks a lot!
