You can still pre-order the NA version, it's not out yet and it's available at stores like VGP.

They're not porting games to other platforms, that'd require an investment they don't have. They said as much last year when Victor mentioned Bandai Namco gave him the chance to port Summon Night 5 to PC.

I can't remember where I asked it (think it was GAF), but I asked Vic about CoH3 and he said it is still happening but the PSP version is unlikely to release.

So, I hope they're working on something else alongside it. I just don't know what.

Thanks for the info, guys. If the NA version is the same as this, then I'll just stick to that.
i wonder if the dlc will actually be on the cart this time round for the EU and NA releases because with the first game it was literally DLC where as with the global edition it was already on cart
the main reason people were importing it i think was because it had an uncensored cover with some more cleavage on it rather than actually having the dlc on the cart lol

i think the code that comes with the game is just the first game so if you've had ps+ in the last couple years then you more than likely already own the game

Yeah i own it digital but i want to free up some space on my vita so having the game on cart would be helpful plus the vita cover is awesome

Ok that is fine but based on waht u wrote, the only code i get with 2x vita is a code for the original game, but 2x challenge maps etc are all in the cart right?

Wait, we did? Seriously? Such a quiet release. To be honest I've not seen anybody talk about that game at all. Had to look up impressions but it's apparently pretty darn good?

I mean you still gotta have a little tolerance for Otome games as a genre, but I think it's the best localized Otome out tbh. Across any platform. It was nice to have an Otome protag who wasn't just another helpless maiden as they tend to be.

I went to get all my package in my parents house last week. I have, for the Vita :
- Chaos;Child
- Danganronpa v3
- Utawarerumono Mask of Truth
- Ys VIII
- Undertale

I guess I'm in for a good time.

I'm ~10hours into Chaos;Child and damn... This game is dark. I'm picking all positive triggers because I'm too scared :(
Really loving it so far but I'm really afraid of the bad endings :p

"Switch was winning by quite a large margin & then the Vita defense force rallied & started calling each other."

"Switch was winning like 3 to 1 and then @FinalMacstorm called on Vita fans & now Vita is in the lead."

"Actually, apparently what happened is somebody posted a link on Reddit's Vita forum."

I genuinely quite like Robert and his open-ness with fans, but something about his replies to this poll is rubbing me up the wrong way.

Perhaps I'm just reading too much into it, but it seems like he's frustrated that Vita's winning the poll; frustrated because Vita fans organized and raised a bit of awareness of his tweet while Switch fans didn't bother.

I don't really see why that's such a bad thing?

Why add in a platform to a poll if you are going to be disgruntled by it winning the poll?

Disgruntled more by the way in which it won probably. IMO games probably got more legs on Switch, he likely realised it midway through the poll. Now he's stuck prioritising a Vita release or going back on the results of the poll.

We allowed to talk about homebrew/etc in here or no?

Asdivine Hearts and Volgarr just went up on EU PSN. Volgarr says it's cross buy but doesn't have the Vita tag on the store, so maybe wait with that.

Don't forget to check your email if you signed up for the Cursed Castilla pre-order list. It's live now.

I had a heck of a time getting Cursed Castilla ordered. For whatever reason Playasia really seems to hate me, its almost impossible for me to order anything from there without several issues with each order...

Still, super hyped to get Cursed Castilla :)

Another Vita owner checking in. I finally found mine again after the move and I forgot how much of a blessing it is to play a round of Spelunky or Dissidia while watching TV or a twitch stream. Gaming Bliss.

I don't have a Switch yet but even when I get one I don't see it ever replacing my Vita. For one thing, PSP and PS One Classics aren't coming to Switch, obvs. But I think there's a ton of great games we won't see getting Switch ports.

Switch also doesn't have a D-Pad in handheld mode. For that reason alone it can never be the portable system of a choice for a lot of games.

Vita is going to be an evergreen console, IMO. Long after games stop releasing I will still be playing it. It has a library, specs and a screen that are just good enough to be satisfying for years to come.

Let's hope the battery can last the years to come.

My slim seems to be doing fine, but before I sold off my phat I was already beginning to notice signs of battery degradation.

My battery on my OLED is really going. Planning on replacing it though, because that's my PSM Vita.

I also have an LCD that seems fine and I'm planning on buying a spare Vita at some point.

In other news, Utawarerumono remake announced for Vita - releasing in Japan in April. I know this is irrational but god, I hope Atlus grab it. I have no hope for physical since john hardin left though

Will Sony replace the batteries if you ship it to them?

That's how I see it. I've built up such a huge backlog that I don't plan on stopping playing my Vita at all for a very long time. Its got such a nice varied library that I'll always have something different to play. Though outside of Japan I do see releases slow right down next year, feels like its happening at the moment to be honest, with smaller limited print games making up most of my non Japanese purchases. Not that I'm complaining about that though, La Mulana and Cursed Castila were two games I'd love to have physical releases of, far more interesting than most larger game releases for me anyway.

I heard back from pqube.
They didn't wanna do VA-11 HALL-A. Seems like they only want big games rn

I doubt it lol. I'm planning on replacing battery myself!

Nice interview. It does seem like a bigger deal in Japan than I thought it would be. Nor did I expect Nintendo to block a game you pitched to them (if I'm reading that right?)

That seems... bizarre. PQube made a name for themselves catering to niche.

It's crazy that we are still getting Vita games at all. The system has been "dead" for years.

BTW, is there a running list of officially announced Vita ports that have been cancelled or become vaporware? I know there's quite a few.

Off the top of my head...
Hand of Fate
Mercenary Kings
Ascension: Chronicles of the Godslayer
The Banner Saga
Hyper Light Drifter
2064 Read Only Memories
Poncho
Pier Solar
Zone of the Enders HD
Tales From the Boderlands
Galak-Z
Dungeon Defenders
Papers, Please

Man, imagine if Vita had been a hit...
