When I finished it I didn't realise that the trophy would pop, but a really easy way to get the 25 cycles or less trophy is to play the game in Mary's Mode.

I managed to find the last coin I was looking for, what a swine that was.

Was hidden in the back of a truck, took me about an hour on top of all my other attempts to find it.

After that went straight into new game+ which was actually a bit tougher than I thought, finished that up though and again went into the last mode, which was strange to play.

Loved every single minit of this game, still got some hidden achievements to get which I will experiment to try and get.

Great, thanks! Next stupid question:

What do I do in the room full of trophies by the tent spawn point? (I think) I touched every one and they all blew up, and i can barely make it to pick up the watering can and get to the room, so I'm not sure that does anything.

D:

You need to touch the one that's different from the others. It's a visual thing. I think you can still see it if you enter the room and pause the game.

Bought on Steam and played for a bit...seems like a really special game. Tough I think I'm just going to return it and wait for the "other" version.

Finished the game and loved it. Sadly only finished at 62%

Can someone explain what the deal was with the
house at the very top of the map, north of the hotel? I never figured out what was going on there

This looks really awesome... the Giant Bomb quick look sold me on it almost instantly. I'll try to hold out for a few months to see if a Switch version is announced. If not, I don't think I'll be able to wait any longer. It's totally my kind of game. I really dig the art direction too.

Hint for your spoiler:
If you mean the spooky, repeating floors house, the message the TV spits out is different each time you go up/downstairs. Maybe one of those does something?

Bigger spoiler for my hint for your spoiler:
I'm not sure if there's a greater significance as I haven't finished the game yet, but I just kept going up/down stairs in the house until eventually the message from the TV said something like "THIS IS THE RIGHT FLOOR". I then exited the house and there was a ghost named Mary outside, which gave me an achievement, as well as ghosts populating other parts of this area.

Finished the game in 84 minutes; it was neat but didn't leave a strong impression on me; I wish the mandatory puzzles were a little more challenging.

Did 35 rounds and loving it but damn is the minute thing a constant source of stress for me! I've made some progress but not sure what my next goal is so i quit to rest awhile and go back fresh. The soundtrack....man, it's freaking amazing well beyond what I expected. Overall, cool but stressful gimmick that I can't wait to play more of

What's the point of the watering can then? The guy in the tree likes it but is there a proper use?

Well, you need it for the guy lost in the desert, secret temple east room and just before the final boss.
I'm talking about inside the secret area in the southern part of the mine. One of the tube paths leads to the watering can. You barely have enough time to bring it back to the guy in the tree by the coin, but I can't find any proper use for it other than that bit of hidden dialogue.

Oh, like that. Yeah, I think the dialogue is the only use.

I rather liked that. I think I missed quite a bit though as I was well late in getting a certain item, and completed before fully exploring.

Some of you should maybe spoiler tag more; I don't think I got spoiled for anything big, but I see stuff I don't know about...

Meanwhile, I'm really enjoying this but also finding it pretty frustrating. I wish there was sliiiightly more direction over what to do. I've done well finding things so far, but

even with the super annoyingly vague ghost hints I have no clue what I'm supposed to do to get to the last hotel guest, or even if that matters, because I have no idea if there's actually a way for me to not blow myself up when hitting the bombs in the factory area currently. It would be nice if absolutely anything nearby provided a hint about that instead of confusing ghost riddles that have helped me like... once because it's not clear if they even definitely apply to a nearby screen.

There's clearly an item that lets you pull blocks out there as well, as there's numerous things out in the world that would be solved by that, but I have no idea if that's a thing I can find yet or not.

EDIT: shit, I'm angry at myself; I got a vague hint from someone on Twitter aaaaaand I totally had read that hint about the oasis without it clicking that I should, you know, look for it

Wow I just grabbed this last night, it's a real joy so far! I'm in the
hotel area, and I just found my last guest.
I feel like I might be approaching the end, but it also feels like there's a TON of secrets that I haven't seen yet. What a lovely surprise so far!

I finished this game last night with 92 tries lol. Went back and earned the platinum immediately. I love this game so much. I may try speed-running it, and I don't normally do that kind of thing! I hope the make a sequel or something, because the concept was executed flawlessly. What I enjoyed most was all of the secrets that were hidden. I would totally pay full price for a longer game like this. I hope this wasn't a one off.

I'm having a pretty bumpy time with Minit. It probably wasn't the best idea to start playing when I had jetlag, but I wasn't helped much by the press saying "it's only an hour or two long". I like it a lot, I'm just terrible at aimless item hunts without any direction, and the 60 second timer is painful.
*cue bragging replies of 'it was easy for me'*

Any tips on enlisting Mr. Eyepatch?

I also got very frustrated at times, so you're not alone. I found it largely very enjoyable and progressing surprisingly easy, yes... until it wasn't, including a point where I spent an hour right near the end looking for anything to help me progress to realize via Twitter hints that I'd overlooked a thing a single NPC said because I didn't realize it was a thing I could go find.

If you could remind me a little more about where you currently are, I'd be happy to help.

The 60 second timer makes it very hard and tiring to backtrack to review NPC messages, so much of my recent memory has been caretaking the timer. It's definitely not a game that copes well with players missing clues, or even showing unexplored space.

There's a guy with an eyepatch that throws swords at me if I water or stab him. He's the last person I need for the hotel.

Personally I was largely cool with the timer; there's a few puzzles that you need to do a little more perfectly than I'd like, but the tension there isn't bad either. It's a neat gimmick, but it can lead to compounding frustration when you're not sure what to do since it's harder to do a big sweep through an area for stuff you missed. In my case the NPC with the hint I needed was very close to a bed but out of the way, so I only went past them again after almost the full hour of searching and even then it didn't click till after I was told that hint outside of the game.

Anyway, Mr. Deland is correct.

Any people you need to find should be near the hotel.

What's the hint being told to you at the hotel's front desk currently?

Ah, thanks, so in which case I have a different question…
How do I cross the bridge? The crates at the top are positioned so only one can go into the water. The crane at the bottom is useless.

There should be stairs when you go down? Or maybe it's a pipe? I forget, but it's right there when you go down from the bridge.

If you get stuck with not knowing how to proceed after that...
Congrats, you're in the same situation I was in. I'll save you an hour and tell you that you should listen to the NPC that's... I think he's a sign maker? He's the guy a bit to the left of the desert bed's screen where you have to trudge through that terrain that slows you down while going down, if that makes sense. IIRC he's where you get the ability to cut down trees. It's been a bit now and my memory of it's already a little messy, but that should be enough to get you to the right person.

His vague hint will set you on the right path.

(feel free to @ to notify me if you don't want to read the second spoiler through quoting)

Thanks deepflaw!! I got stuck the same place as you. I was able to progress quite a bit, but now I'm stuck again and feeling very tired of the game's 60 second timer. I broke the conveyer to no avail.

You're in what's probably the hardest point of the game time-wise because it really is a puzzle for how to survive the 60 seconds, yup. You're very very close, though!

If I'm remembering the order of this correctly, now you just have to go down from the screen to the right of the stopped conveyor, where the guy's taunting you. Then the next few steps are pretty directly told to you.

To save a little future frustration, before you do any of that I'd suggest that
you should probably poke around upstairs in the factory first and take the shortcut you can make to another bed.

Feeling worse about myself with every sticking point in this game. Fun games are a bumpy ride. How do I get my sword back, or proceed without it?

They'll tell you if you go back to where you put your sword, but to save time: just bring your watering can there and water it.

You'll need to be a little creative with how you get back there, which is why I suggested the other bed. But if you didn't do that first and want the answer...

I believe it's that you can use the cave entrance you used to get across the bridge to begin with to get to the broken conveyor screen, then loop around upstairs to the other stairs down.

Just beat the boss!

Thanks, deepflaw!

It's a fun game with quite a few design pitfalls, but more than makes up for it.

Finished a first run pretty quick and on to a second. As soon as I heard about the gimmick, I was sold, that's really all it took. Really great and fun little game! Too bad about the black and white pixel art, but for a little indie thing, you do what you gotta do.

Picked this up and played several back to back play throughs to get the platinum. Great little game. Would love a sequel doing more of the same but with a new map, items, and abilities. Highly recommend. Big Link's Awakening and Mother vibes.

Article about Minit from GIBiz.

How Minit's team found creativity through limitations.

https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2018-06-04-theres-always-tomorrow-in-a-world-of-time-limits

It's important to understand your design limitations. Be familiar with the size and scale of the game.

Putting restrictions there allowed us to focus on what makes it interesting, the things that are different from other games.

Minit is never about optimizing your minute and getting as many points as possible.

Did they change the Switch version to allow you to respawn after beating the End Boss to collect stuff? I keep seeing people saying they wish they could do that, but I just hit continue after finishing it and it popped me back into my house with stuff still left to collect.

I think that may have been a glitch at first, or else something they patched it very soon after release?

I also saw a person or two saying that, but I played within a week or so of it being out and was totally able to continue after.

...I am now reminded that I only hit 74% on both files, too. Should maybe go back, with a guide at first, to find what I missed...

Mhmmmm, when Hollow Knight was posted, I was already tempted to buy it even without having started the game just yet, cause I'm weak and it seemed like a good deal for a game I expect to be very into when I make time for it soon. And then I saw they had The Norwood Suite, which I'd definitely want regardless. And now this...

So, questions:
1. Do they have consistently good quality releases?
2. Is the Hollow Knight soundtrack that good?

I may have to page rpbtz as I've not had or listened to any Ghost Ramp releases myself, Minit will be my first one.
