Derpy face aside, I'm loving how the game looks. The more vibrant colours and added detail really make the game pop out more. I love this series, can't wait to replay the best Spyro game on my switch.

Holy crap! It looks amazing.

As soon as it's available on the PSN Store I'm buying it. I need it.

I'm the first to criticise people crying about not having Spider-Man on XB1, but timed exclusives really are silly.

Kinda funny how Spyro is officially announced just as official Spiderman details were released.

And spyro is going to released in the same month with the newest insomniac game. Its gone full circle, I love it.

What kind of games were the Spyro titles? Were they collectathons, similar to Banjo? I've never really understood the games, even despite having seen gameplay videos ^^;;

But gosh, are the graphics stunning.

I love my PS4, and I'm sure the game will run better on it but I just really prefer all my games on Switch these days. Hopefully timed exclusivity is short, but I have no qualms waiting.

I don't know your opinion on Pixelpar, but:

No PC???

I don't know... I bought Crash Trilogy at D1 on PS4 and platinumed all of them (got all platinum times on Crash 1 and 2 too) but I will prefer to play it at 60fps this time, knowing it will be just a timed exclusive... I mean, if Crash come on PC I don't see why Spyro won't, it seems the exact same engine.

Never understood the appeal. The games were not very good back in the day. If its just a repaint job then people will realise this.
Lol nice parody post. Unfortunately it might fly over people's heads since there are those that actually think nonsense like this!

How do I press Square to set this post on fire..?

Yes they were. They were great back in the day and they are great now.
Relax folks, it's a parody post of the same "Crash was never good" drive-by posts that littered the N. Sane trilogy threads.

Well i thought they were shite. Great that you like them though

...

oh

...you sure you didn't play the garbage-fire games on the PS2/Gamecube after Insomniac left the franchise?

I would think that the developers are maybe rethinking their strategy of delaying/not bothering with the switch version until 2019.
September is already packed on ps4 but If spyro is indeed timed exclusive then it's insane.
Why they ignored a system which has half of their fanbase on is beyond me, i guess they were trying to reach out to new players which is great but they couldn't have picked a worse release date.

edit: on topic spyro looks amazing, so happy to see more 3d platform games return!
now somebody send microsoft a memo so rare can get on banjo again.

I still haven't played the N-Sane trilogy as I'm already so familiar with Crash, but I only played Spyro 1, so I'm more inclined to pick this up.

I actually think the art-style looks nicer then Crash too, looks almost Overwatch-esque.

Those concerned by Toys-for-Bob making this, it's a remake and not a new game, I doubt there's much creative influence from them in terms of gameplay, it'll probably be almost identical to how the original Insomniac played.

Regardless if Sony has bankrolled an exclusive, I can either wait or splurge, presumably the game will be $40 like Crash (hopefully they don't get greedy)

I'd honestly wait for an official confirmation of anything regarding platforms as I don't trust a peep of what pixelpar says. It's especially odd when you don't have PC mentions when all the consoles are there and even crash is getting a pc port.

No chance. You can't magic up the Switch version. If it was ready, it would be coming this year, but it's not.

It'll get a second chance next year, but the PS4 version is going to sell to the core and no one else. It's on PC, so it'll have legs at dirt cheap prices, but PS4? It'll be really lucky if it does a million in the West. That window is brutal.

People dont hate Toys for Bob for its gameplay. In fact a lot of people hating Toys for Bob never played the skylanders games (they are simple but fun diablo like games for kids). They hated them becuase of the awful awful designs the games had.
BUT Im pretty sure those designs were done in that way "thanks" to kids being asked by Activision, and Activision forcing toys for bob to make them more edgy.
Seeing as crash looking similar to its original design (just updated it to make it nicer) actually sells games, activision gave them the freedom to make it a similar as the original Spyro designs as possible.
