I'll take it and write some stuff :)
I'm a lurker in this thread but it's one of my favorites.
Whoops, I didn't know that about GiftBot. I assumed that was the best way to get it into folks who were interested here. Well, assuming he shows up sometime the keys will still be up for grabs.

But we can also do it this way. Next 3 people to quote me can also have a copy of Chapter 1 of Outbreak: The Nightmare Chronicles. Don't feel compelled to write up anything (although it's appreciated if you do). It's just a fun giveaway for someone who wants to play some survival horror and I hope anyone who wins it enjoys it. :)

I started a Steam Curation (sorry, brazilian-portuguese only) a couple of weeks ago for -- mostly -- indie games and I use this thread daily as a source for it. I would like to give a look at the game and write a mini-review based on my impressions about it if possible.

I would also appreciate if people with giveaways would post some impressions here as well. :) Looking forward to hear what you think!

re: Land of Glass--while I usually give a fair shot to games, the animations are lovely even if the massive bloom is a headache, but I couldn't make it past one battle. Real-time card game tactics, which seems to amount to spamming attacks/defends when you can? Not for me.

Oldies: I've been playing rogue-like deckbuilders such as Dream Quest, Card Quest, and Monster Slayers, and having a blast with those.

And I quite like the look of Long Gone Days from its Kickstarter. I'm not a big EA guy either, so I'm not sure if I'll give it a shot, but it looks sumptuous. Not much else on my radar this month besides that--Pathfinder: Kingmaker beta in a few days, Battletech later, then PoE2 after.

As we now have SweetSarks thread for upcoming Indie Games, I will leave out that part from Aprils OP. If you have some feedback regarding that or miss that part, let me know. I do think its a bit pointless to have such similar bits of info in two threads of the same forum, so I will just link SweetSarks thread in the meantime.

On the plus side, it might make my OP posts a bit more digestible by cutting down gif/image count by 50%.

Thank you for your acknowledgement.
I really trying right now to create thumbnails for my entries in OP, but I need a specific format I need to follow.
Do you have any suggestion Toma?

One of the solutions I found is Imgur, but the quality of the pics become a mess after the upload....

There's no difference between buying the Outbreak: The Nightmare Chronicles Complete Edition, or buying the game + season pass, right?
Since I own the previous games, it's a bit cheaper to go for the Outbreak Deluxe Apocalypse bundle. ;)

There is no difference. Complete Editor == Outbreak: The Nightmare Chronicles + Season Pass. And yup, the Deluxe Apocalypse Bundle will always be the cheapest because it carries the highest built-in discount across all titles. If you want the entire experience, go with the Deluxe Apocalypse. :)

And thank you a ton for your purchase! :) <3

Looks like a fun list of new releases in the OP! There's a bunch I haven't heard about before and just added to my wishlist. If you guys have any insight or first-hand experience with 'em, hope you can share some impressions with me. Here's the ones I'm interested in:

- Abyss Crawlers Plus - I'm not super big into roguelikes, but I really dig the atmosphere of this one.
- Chessaria: The Tactical Adventure - Chess with story-based missions? Haha, sure, I'm in. Curious about how much of the gameplay stays true to traditional chess.
- Dungeon Gambit Boy - Looks to be a fun twitch-platformer. Looking for a good one to turn the brain off and just play.
- Earthlock - I haven't played a turn-based RPG in awhile. The aesthetic of this one draws me in for some reason. Feels pretty nostalgic to me.
- Exorder - I'm planning to play Into the Breach soon, but this also looks to be a fun turn-based SRPG. I can never have enough of those.
- IIN - I could use a relaxing puzzle-platformer. This seems like it'll scratch that itch.
- Loyalty and Blood: Viktor Origins - Oh man, something about a good dash/dodge move really turns me on, haha.
- The Long Reach - This one sounds familiar. I'm loving the horror vibes. Great change-of-pace from the other games I got lined up.
-
Q.U.B.E. 2 - Do I need to have played the first one to enjoy this?
- Visual Out - Trippy as hell. Pretty interested to experience it at 2AM in the morning sometime.

I know I might a bit late on this one, but I was a bit worried Into the Breach might be a bit too simplistic, but its actually pretty darn amazing. Anybody need want to hear a more elaborate opinion or has everybody already bought and played it anyway?
Everyone has already bought and played it already :p

My man says that Q.U.B.E. 2 is better than the first game. Sounds like the story is not relevant to your enjoyment of the game.

Resize video window and take a screenshot? :D

Not from a video, but from existed good-quality pictures of a game.
In other words, I want a quick method which take the url of a photo and using an online site to resize images.
One solution was Imgur, but the quaility become very terrible...

I am trying to do something similar like your gifs, having all pictures the same size, but be still images.
Ah ok. There are some edge cases that might give you trouble due to differing aspect ratios but I would suggest finding a high res image and then either cropping or resizing to something fairly standard like 1280x720. You should be able to do this for most images on the Steam store page for a given game.

One more Steam tip. Some games have a "Visit the website" button. From there many games with a website have a "press kit". That press kit comes with press images usually in fairly standard sizes. Hope that helps.

EDIT: For resizing and cropping I just use Paint .NET. It's super simple, free and has a toolset somewhere between mspaint and photoshop so it's good for someone like me that doesn't want to break out a really robust editing tool but can't just use mspaint.

Indie gaming taking a backseat to Far Cry 5 right now.

Might take Battletech to restart the hype at the end of the month.

In the meantime, firing up Into the Breach or SYNTHETIK, and keeping up with the They Are Billions weekly challenge map.

HOLY CRAP I just realized that I have yet to build an inn. I saw its requirements, and I was like NOPE! Forgot to even try and build one. Got distracted by nearly losing to a witch rush losing my southwest base expansion. lots of space gone to waste means less efficient, but effective.

There comes a certain point in the game where you build what you typically make for an end game and then you just stop like, "I have enough." The top scorers never stop building.

Picked up this cool action roguelike
http://store.steampowered.com/app/509570/In_Celebration_of_Violence/

A ton of items and weapons and spells and whatnot, slower combat that reminds me of Unexplored's. and some cool interactions like fire spreading and electricity traveling through a water. You can set an entire forest ablaze and watch the fire travel from grass to trees. If you swipe a wooden sword through fire, then you'll have a flaming wooden sword for a while. Stuff like that
