As I mentioned above, this is my real issue. Obviously, paying extra sucks, but (no disrespect to jstevenson and Insomniac here) statues really aren't feasible to display for most adults. I can get away with steelbooks and artbooks.
Shrine is a superb album.
Also, on topic, I don't think I can convince myself to preorder the fancy edition. Since I switched to Best Buy GCU over Amazon Prime, I don't impulse preorder things because of Best Buy's rolling charge.

Well games have to have their features and content locked in at some point. This could be either fresh content they're cooking up, or content that didn't make it into the game that's being reworked. There's a difference between this and what EA used to do with the actual extra content already on the disk, and the user paying to download an unlock that was a few kilobytes.

If Era has taught me anything, it's not the boxart we care about, it's the icon on the dashboard.
Theories on the statue. It's probably not a building - I doubt they'd cover up a building for spoiler purposes, unless it's like Oscorp or something. That being said it's probably some recognizable enemy they haven't revealed yet but probably will at E3 through a trailer or gameplay.
I'm gonna hazard a guess that it's one of Alistair Smythe's Spider Slayers. Smythe as a villain would fit well into an open world Spider-Man game as the Spider Slayers could be roaming the city for Spidey to dispatch. I think that would make for a neat statue design too.
EDIT: Yeah on a closer look it definitely looks like he's fighting someone or something below him. It's probably a villain not revealed yet. Kraven's another good possibility as he could be hunting you constantly.

I'll get the collector's edition day one, but man does this just look exactly like a third Beenox Amazing Spider-Man right down to the animation work.

In my experience, it appears as a charge, goes away, and comes back occasionally leading up to launch.
I don't like that coming and going of the charge. I miss not being charges until something ships. My only qualm with Best Buy.
I pre-ordered the collector's edition from GAME UK. Never use those guys due to their awful delivery service, just had to support my most anticipated 2018 game.

i kind of agree, the quality of playstation first party titles is excellent. The visuals, story, and worlds are great.
The box art is fine, I think it looks fantastic. Not ugly as sin or horrible like some say.
I got 3 statues from CEs. Dark Souls 2 and 3 and Horizon. Can't wait to add Spidey.
