If you're in the mood for a somewhat edgy, violent action show where basically anyone can die, try it out.
Why the fuck would I watch this show when they denied to offer a sacrifice to Truck-kun, Bringer of Death!?
They can't escape it, the show is serving as a substitute for part 5.
Truck-kun WILL sate his hunger, one way or another.
Also 100 years from now Truck-kun will be part of japanese folklore like Tengu, Kappa and Yuki Onna.

After 25 years I can fawn over Misugi once again. (Daimos when)
I don't like the few Jojo'esque add-ons they sneaked in here, it's not just my aversion/phobia/allergy to the aforementioned but also that the violet pink or some bloody force field aura just doesn't fit in with the rest of the show.
It's clearly not a thing that will win any awards for production values but at least they kept the designs faithful to the original.
Not sure if I want to praise them for using the old OP song for ED or castigate them for remixing it into some inferior version. Both I guess. Probably don't have it in me to stick with the show for old time's sake but I'll at least check upon it from time to time.

Sure hope that Menma gets less annoying as eps go by cause as of now she's insufferable.
I was supposed to try and avoid Okada's things but I always loved the ED and the show itself is sort of (in)famous that I feel like I'm missing something having not experienced it yet. And I will be watching Okada dragons so my "resolve" would have been broken anyway.

I always hated Captain Makes becauae if how many re runs it had and because of I dislike football.
Seems I need to watch it if this has some of JOJO in it.
Yeah as expect of Tachibanakan, its only a 3 minute short, which makes it more or less worthless since they can't actually adapt the manga in any meaningful way. At least NTR had 10 minutes and the decency to just deviate from the manga plot, not that this or NTR is high literature to begin with. I was expecting nothing but still let down. Maybe one day we'll get a yuri series that isn't plagued with idiotic drama or sexual assault. I can only hope that Kase-san's OVA sells enough to warrant a real adaptation.

It's a bit annoying.
It's pretty much what I expected. Boring music, nice space battles, main characters suffering from bland-itis while the rest looks pretty okay. Gotta see more episodes to judge how they deal with the characters and the story pacing.
Episode-wise, the requirement for more is obviously SALES. Someone's gotta pay for these blurays or they won't fund more of them.
At 800 bucks, that shit is literally paying for itself ten times over.
It's a shame that it takes so long to introduce and flesh out all the amazing characters.
I'm not holding my breath on that.
I only read 20 or so chapters before the anime got announced and I stopped, but A. it's a slow burn, B. It doesn't feel like something that will adapt well to anime.
we will see, but unless the pacing is perfect it's likely going to be mediocre.

Not too bad for an opening. Granred I'm doing reporting, so I wasn't 100% focused on it, but I appreciated the lighter tone plasteted on the edgy exterior....
The main lead isn't too bad either... although I did shudder twice now at thr stupid red faced reactions to Mine and Akame's swimsuit and underwear scenes... c'mon now with that garbage "embarassed" MC crap...

Sentai's sales of the original Legend of Galactic Heroes OVA series have very little to do with IG deciding to fund more of the new Legend of Galactic Heroes anime, I imagine.
Anyway, we know that there will be at least 3 more movies in 2019 after the currently airing 12 episode TV anime is finished.
It will need a great director with ample experience in comedy to make their particular style of comedy work, so I'm not expecting anything. Chances are too low.
I think it'll be good to see it animated but I don't expect it being in the same level since they seem to skip a bunch of chapters and with that, developments and all. And I'm not sure if I'll translate well to anime too. We'll see

So far the strategy/tactics in this were terribly bad. Relying on the element of surprise and incompetent enemy commanders while charging head on into their forces is no credible way to surmount a 2:1 disadvantage in numbers.
I was expecting some clever thinking to be the reason for their apparent victory but it was rather dumb.
Let's hope the promise of episode 2 providing something more interesting is fulfilled.

Lupin will have to make up some bullshit trickery to fool like a million amateurs now, they'll get creative with it i'm sure. Or everyone will get bored playing the Lupin game a few months in and not care, overexposure will make Lupin boring to the public and he'll be free of everyone's attention, such is e-fame.
They were disadvantaged 2:1 with the 3 seperate fleets combined. Individually the empire outnumbered them. I think the key here is not just the element of surprise but the time it takes for the fleets to regroup and converge on them. If you manage to fuck up comms and destroy them in the time alloted, victory.
I don't get it. Captain Tsubasa is extremely over the top, it's very appropriate. The original looks very similar to this.
The idea that you'll suffer no casualties fighting consecutively 3 individual forces 2/3 your size is preposterous. By the third encounter you should be at a disadvantage even if wrecking the 2 first forces would be a commendable feat. A hit and run approach would have been credible. They mowing their adversaries down is just eh.
