Wow. They finally listened.
The game is about to receive a handful of patches. The first one should allow to switch between original sprites and new ones. Other patches are coming but the change isnt known yet.

They put a bilinear filter as a post process... And they hard filtered all the sprites and tiles.

The UI still needs a complete overhaul. I really wish Square Enix would treat its legacy titles with more care, they are so always acceptable to poor. Its a shame, they need a team dedicated to doing these right.
