Bruh I fail to see what kind of Patlabor fan would dig IBO/Seed/Destiny. Their biggest weaknesses are characters. Which is Patlabor's biggest strength!
The point of both Lockon is to show how pointless it is to be lost in hate and vengeance. The show beats you over the head with it that it's okay to fight for peace, but fighting to hurt and kill the other guy out of revenge is self-destructive. Setsuna's hallucination of Lockon telling him that he has to change is pretty on the nose. IBO doesn't really have anyone going through such an extensive narrative arc. Closest is Gaelio and even then it's not all that interesting.
Nah. IBO wasted everyone's time in S1 and became suffering porn in S2. Great mechanical designs in S2 but save for one or two fights, all too often it devolved to Bayesque fights where we look at everything except the fight. When we do, it looks like a mess. For all of 00 S2's faults the narrative is still stronger and the fights are better. Nothing outside of GBF and G Reco came close to Reborns vs 00 Raiser.

It took me like three hours to make his weapons alone. Those were not fun at all to build. Dumbass convoluted swords. I settled for that equipment because I'll go crazy building his other weapons and his big sword is lame anyway. And the decals. Are these decals for ants? I put some but I had no idea how to put 90% of them on. I think I accidentally ate some of them they were that small.
Besides that, my only real complaint is the head. It's very fragile and comes off easily. Overall it's badass. Way more challenging than a HG. I can't imagine how long I'll take with a MG. I kinda have my eye on MG Full Armor Gundam but it looks really tough.

00 S2 is worse than S1 but not as bad as people make it to be.
Regarding stickers on a RG, my recommendations for any gunpla stickers (regardless of grade, it's just that the small RG ones exacerbate the issue) is to use pincers and a toothpick.
And by the way, MG are not harder to build than RG, I think that's a misconception that you have but I don't know where you picked it up from.

I'm repeating myself but I think the 2.0 MG of the Mk-II is a very nice kit at a relatively affordable price.
There are cheaper MG but they tend to be older and have slightly dated engineering.

I hate to admit it but I had completely forgotten about this kit. And I almost got the MG when I saw it at Barnes and Noble last week.
I personally find the Talgeese / Leo legs ugly because they are thick at he top and thin at the bottom while I prefer a look similar to hakamas or bootcut jeans where the bottom of the leg is thicker. Something most Zeon Mobile Suits have and some like the Gelgoog and the Dom excel at.
Talgeese looks like someone that listened to the advice of never skipping leg day but couldn't be bothered as soon as they reached the exercises for calves. Compare it to Wing Gundam EW whose legs still look good despite thin shins thanks to magnificent calves.

Speaking of old MGs, RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type with Karen Joshua markings since an EZ-8 MG is in the backlog for Shiro Amada.
This build definitely feels old. The elbow articulation having screws doesn't prevent it being trash and the feet cannot bend having very limited posability.
And yet it still manages to look quite good on the shelf.

I've built kits with screws that were OK: Zeong and (I think) Gouf Custom.
Its usage in the Ground Type Gundam is the worst I've experienced and I believe that kit is the base for a bunch of others like the EZ-8, GM Ground Type and GM Sniper.

Wing is better than a good chunk of the series simply because it doesn't have terrible characters that make you want to punch the screen repeatably. The series also features some of the best mecha design in the entire franchise. Granted, I've only seen everything up to Gundam Age (which is...bad, the reason why I've been stuck there forever), so something like Build Fighters or Orphans could sport some awesome designs but from what I've seen from the Gundam Extreme Vs. games, it's not really the case.

I thought Riku was an okay character throughout the episode... not until the whole I'm a gullible person but it doesnt matter because I have the heart of the cards and I'll ace this whole shit despite the fact this is my first time using the dive system, and on top of that I'm also a great builder. I hope the other characters are better and that Riku gets better later on.
Damn, it hurts just how obviously better the original GBF director and writer was. Dialogue and choreography here ranges from ew to a hard okay at best. Animation in general looks like a full downgrade.

Real talk, I like Athrun but there was barely any effective mentoring from him until the end of the show. Even then it was just him teaching Shinn to catch these hands.
That custom Barbatos with a unicorn from the intro is giving me Escaflowne vibes. Gonna need that kit.
I wasn't expecting to see Chou-sen Qubeley, so that's something.
But yeah, I don't know how I feel about this. It didn't really grab me like BF did, and I do think it's erring too close to the kiddie side of things for me.
Oh well. At least it's giving me a new Kapool kit.

Wing characters are literally just caricatures of Gundam stereotypes. Wing is like a cliff notes version of early Gundam series.
I still cannot decide if it is better or worse than AGE. It looks better and has better music, but its also even more boring. It's astounding that Gundam survived having 00 S2 and AGE back to back.
00 S2 might win outright whenever I remember how much I liked 00 S1.
