Possibly, but considering it was mentioned that the Vita version of Phantom Breaker specifically would have needed a rebuild to make a complete edition, that could explain the mention of testing. And it truly would be an LRG-exclusive physical release (iirc Bon Appetit got a physical complete edition in Japan already)
OMG if it Phantom Breaker I'm in again.

If someone is going to hesitate on buying an X1X digital copy because PS4 is getting a physical release, then they would have gotten a digital copy on PS4 when it was an exclusive for the past 9 months, and on sale quite often recently.

I can only speak for myself but I never buy digital games on PlayStation so you're wrong in at least one case. If there won't be a physical print ever then it's in the developer's interest to announce this so we'll get off our asses and buy digital but announcing a physical print a couple of weeks before the launch on a new platform has no positives.

So let's look at a few games that it could be that they've been mentioning since the beginning and are noteworthy enough to have a run that big. Let's assume that "when we started" is when they started as a company.

Atelier (likely not going to happen after recent comments)
Hotline Miami 1/2 (would require working in a new start screen to tie the games together)
Senran Kagura Bon Appetit (as far as we know it was off limits at the start due to Xseed not being willing to partner with them)
Severed
Guacamelee
Spelunky
Adventures of Mana (lol)

^ two other games that have come up since the beginning and could sell 8000 units on Vita:

Fez
Rogue Legacy

Does the "complete edition" part fit any of those games listed?

edit: another recurring one was Stranger of Sword City

Sword City Revisited was 2017 and they started as a company in late 2015. I'd say looking at the first half a year or so of them being a company would likely be what we're looking at in terms of releases being mentioned, all of the listed games were brought up quite a bit around then.

The only ones out of all of those that could be considered "complete editions" (as in dlc came out, a revision came out that added a few extras or combining multiple games) would be Atelier, Hotline Miami 1/2, Bon Appetit and Guacamelee.

The original Sword City came out in early 2015 for Vita in JP, so I wouldn't 100% rule it out. But you're probably right; and 8000 units would be very ambitious for that game.

My first thought was a Hotline Miami pack as well, complete edition would fit since the Asian release only had HM1 on cart.

Part of the fun ;) Looking forward to the announcement!

The original also already got a physical release from Nisa :P. We didn't even know we were getting Revisited in any form until like a month or 2 before release due to it being self published by Exp Inc. Not to mention 8k is super ambitious for a revision to a game that likely only did around that to begin with, with it's original run.

Ok, you win. That's a pretty good argument ;)

I had no idea there already was a physical release, the game came up so many times over the years that I thought all English versions were digital-only.

At this point I've learned not to get too caught up in your teases, Doug :p

Although I am curious about the Slimy hint in that interview. The only thing that came to mind was Slime Rancher, but I don't think that's been announced for Switch (yet?).

Damn this "crowning game" tease is exciting \o/

The teasing around Phantom Breaker is getting too much though. Announce it already :p

I don't understand the announcement about the Thimbleweed artbook being heavy though. I don't see an artbook listed and there doesn't appear to be any in the collector editions... does it come later ?

The entire soundtrack would be amazing for a Fata Morgana Collector's Edition. I usually don't care for their inclusion but getting lost in the music is like half the experience of FM.

When are we going to have official announcement of this *_*:

Also any news about dust an elysian tail Doug? It's one of my favorite PS4 games :(.
About releasing something of PS3, I would love the cave, it's a special game for me.

Ugh. This reminded me that I still need to order the other two wallscrolls eventually. I bought The Maid along with the art book last year during Comiket.

Momodora get.

edit: Ah, dang. Now the PS4 cases are back in stock. Is it possible to go ahead and buy one and then have them combine it?

All done ! Got to check out with paypal this time and it was much more stressful than using my usual credit card.
I took Kill the Bad Guy just in case but I was on the fence about this one. Glad I got the other two PS4 games though ! :D

Edit : Thimbleweed Park PS4 is going pretty slowly. Guess a lot of people went with the Switch version when they had a choice.

did anyone else have to refresh a 5-6 times before the add to cart button would appear? is this the cause of switch users storming the site?

also for those who also use paypal too is it quicker to hit checkout or paypal checkout? i've always gone through checkout because my hold address isn't on my paypal account and i don't think it would let me use that

Momodora get.

yes, just take a ticket out and tell the CS your 2 order numbers, they should refund the shipping on one of them if they're made on the same day

Yay! Bought the Switch Limited Edition Thimbleweed Park. Everything went pretty smoothly. Hopefully all my purchases from LRG are as easy as this one was.

Momodora is going to be the first PS4 game to be sold out (in a little over 5mn).
25% left for Kill the Bad Guy, 60% for Thimbleweed PS4

Got Momodora and Kill the Bad Guy. I just can't justify the price of Thimbleweed Park in my mind, so no go for that one.

Grabbed Momodora and Thimbleweed standard for Switch. Considered the PS4 version but the style of Thimbleweed makes it seem better on the Switch.

Yeah, that happened to me too with having to refresh several times before the buy button came up. And PayPal checkout is fastest for me, but I don't mess with the holding service stuff.

Got Momodora. Thimbleweed Park just isn't my cup of tea even if I'm sure it's a great game for many. Looking forward to other future Switch releases though and I hope it does well. Wonder if the Switch will eat PS4 sales? Seems Thimbleweed is selling slowly on the PS4. Simpler indies are often a good fit for portables so I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

Is there going to be an inside image on the thimbleweed switch edition case? Maybe a NES style design in homage to maniac mansion?

Went for the Mega-Bundle because I didn't want to race against all those Switch fans. Unexpectedly, not the Switch games but Momodora sold out first; guess I could have picked up the games individually after all.

Corrected the mistake that was not backing Thimbleweed Park (had kickstarted a lot of graphic adventures in a short amount of time and decided to call it quits by Thimbleweed Park...and it turned out to be one of the best adventure games that came out of Kickstarter). So now a big box of that game will finally be coming my way <3
