I've just about had enough of this stupid fucking matchmaking. I get into full lobbies easy and no timer ever appears and everyone leaves.

Is this true? That would explain a LOT with the connections feeling legit the first day and last night feeling way behind everybody.
Dude, it was snappy on the PC this past weekend. But today its horrible. I'm hard scoping looking at the corner and still lose the gunfight at times to an SMG from mid-range and when I see the kill cam I didn't fire the shot at all till I was dead. It wasn't like that this past weekend.
And not to mention that part of it is still broken. Namely, the HQ and supply drop rewards from leveling up. It's definitely fun it spurts, but overall my impressions right now are that it is pretty average in most respects (outright poor in others) and is more geared towards pay-to-win than ever. Or rather, pay for rewards that are mostly shit anyway.
That's....not how it works.
And even when games themselves have P2P networking for the matches, the matchmaking itself is done on dedicated servers. Infact I can't think of a modern game that does not do that.
So if it's an issue with matchmaking then it's because something's up with Activision's servers which in reality are probably Google/Amazon servers rented out by Activision.

I mean again lack of understanding how game development works. You got engine changes, you have to make all new assets, and all of that shit. You know how long it actually takes to make a 6 hour campaign? A lot more than you may think it does. Then you got AI and all of that other shit. Then you have testing. Then you also probably develop and work on maps that may or may not even make it into the game due to either time constraints or simply never feels good to play on. There are so many factors that go into it and simply saying: "Well they had Three years!" Is laughable.
Not much of an AC guy but friends have been telling me to get it. May have to.
Exactly my point. Their dedicated servers have been hit hard which is why matchmaking is taking a long time and games are being played P2P.
I will say the game is very generous when it comes to getting epics from supply drops.

What don't you like about it? It's actually one of my favourites as of right now.
I also enjoy the USS Texas map lol, the lanes on the side are kinda long yes but i enjoy the chaos going on below the deck. The only map i really dislike is Gustav Cannon, now that is a horrible map.
It's amazing how it goes from fun to just all out complete and utter beat down. Like as if I never touched a game in my life.
Glad to see others agree. Gustav Cannon is easily one of the most poorly designed maps I have ever seen. Flak Tower, London Docks and USS Texas are the best in the game, in my opinion.
Reminds me of a slightly less shitty version of Derail, which was the worst map in MW2
Great for sniping though, there hasn't been a map like that in the last few cods.
LOL, that is all it is good for. One team is camping on top of the cannon, while the other is hiding in or around barns. As the rest of the map is a wide open field for the most part that makes you a sitting duck if you move around too much. It needs more balance and pathways.

Yeah it feels like a combination of the terrible matchmaking and shitty netcode. One game I'm on beast mode, then next I can barely do anything. Random Prestige players mixed in with level 2s and so on. Hopefully some of that gets ironed out in patches. Maybe the ranked mode will help get into more fair matches too.
Glad to see I'm not alone. See I think what gets me so fired up is this perception people like to throw out there that this series is easy, as if people can play it blind folded and get 20 to 30 kills..
I feel like I'm against the world's best players sometimes. Some of the shit that happens in these matches are so unbelievable its like why even try. But then I stop and think how I'm fine in other games, that's why I just am determined to become at least a told 1.5 to 2 per match kind of guy
Yea I snipe more now than I used to (MW2 was pretty much hold sprint silenced UMP rushing lol) so that's probably why I don't mind Gustav whereas I absolutely fucking hated Derail.
And I just checked the season pass price LOL. For 50 bucks they better be adding like 15 damn maps.
Really?! Campaign even? I think the campaign was so fucking beautiful on Ps4 Pro. Thinking about picking it up on the X to see it get even better. I was JUST telling two buddies I thought it was one of the more beautiful looking games released this year (and I've played a lot)
It looks pretty good, but there is nothing special about it. It's in the upper percentile for graphics though, but compared to something like Horizon or Star Wars Battlefront II it still falls short.
They usually do 4 maps and a zombies map, might do 3 MP 1 War and 1 Zombies map this time though.
It's decent but as said above there are better games.. Imho dice makes one hell of a good looking game thru and thru.
Also I just love how many matches start and there are guys with like 6 kills in 10 seconds. Why aren't these type of cyborgs in their own realm of madness playing each other?

Yeah, it's very weird. Normally people abuse them, but for some strange reason no one uses them lol
Pistol grips are about the dumbest things you could make the cornerstone of your loot system. You can't even really see them in game since your character's hand is blocking them. It's completely stupid.

Doing great now in the past few hours. No dying behind walls. No one doing phantom "I can see the future" shot's when I am turning a corner while hardscoping. When I get outplayed now, it makes sense. Now I know what hours to play. Because I am no longer matching up with South American players or Australians. No more getting 4 hit markers with the M1. Is snapping again. And man having the Type 100 in the Infantry Class is sexy as hell.

Went on a 11+ losing streak. If I didn't buy the game digital it would probably be broken in half by now.
