Regarding spoiler #2, there's an optional graffiti there which kinda makes the chores a bit more bearable lol.
=======

Episode 2 has great screenshot potential, especially with the ongoing background event.
Fire.

It's just too bad I don't have a good eye for photographs. I always take a few, review them, end up criticizing myself and deleting them lol.
Yeah, I did that. Thing is, because you can only do it at a certain moment, I thought I had to go trough hoops to do it. So I lost time searching for a way to do the grafitti, while actually you just have to do the chores and it comes available automatically :P

Man just finished episode 2 today and I can't wait for episode 3.
Episode 3 is going to have to cover a fair bit of stuff and that bonus episode man I'm going to be emotionally wrecked again aren't I?

What if Episode 3 is the beginning of a new story?
I still think they have potential to fit in another (3 part) story into a new game. I would happily purchase another LiS prequel story with Chloe and Rachel from Deck Nine.

This series really has become one of my favourites this generation.

Yeah, I'm worried about the big gap between BtS and LiS. I'm still not sure how they're gonna wrap this up very satisfyingly.

So when is episode 3 supposed to drop with the Max special ? Something like end of November or December ?

Mt. Whatever
I don't think they will connect BtS to LiS, there is still wayyyyyy too much cover with just a single episode left. More likely that BtS just ends as character building fluff. Which is A-ok in my books. Loved it so far.

Also Angel DvA August > October > December makes sense. But with all the holidays coming up and having to include the bonus episode as well, I could see Episode 3 releasing in January.

Eurogamer just started a Let's Play of LiS 1 (they already did BTS) and I legit teared up just from them looking at a Rachel poster. I honestly don't know if I'll ever be able to go back to LiS 1 after BTS. Episodes 4 and 5 will kill me.

Yeah I know what you mean. I went back to replay the first game after episode 1 of BtS came out, and I wasn't able to get through episode 4. I did not want to have to watch that scene where Chloe finds Rachel, it's just too much to think about. I do plan to go through the whole first game again after the final prequel episode comes out though, it's going to be rough.

Haha I did the exact same thing after episode 1. I got done with the alternate timeline section, reunited Max and Chloe, put the game down and haven't picked it up again since.

Played Episodes 1 and 2 through a second time, enjoyed it just as much as the first. It's really quite well done. I'm impressed at how Deck Nine managed to capture the magic of the first game without aping it.

That'd definitely kill me again.

Also, this game just further solidifies that the correct choice is Bae > Bay. you were all monsters back then if you didn't make that choice and you're even bigger monsters now.

Do you make the same choices every time? Because my first and only playthrough is my own little true canon storyline. Can't change that! :P
I've replayed it twice and I chose the same things. I can't bear to let Kate die and you're god damn right I'm gonna kill the town for my favorite angry, blue-haired lesbian (or bisexual; they don't make it super clear in the original what she identifies as).

I did and I honestly regret it. I have this weird thing where my first playthrough ensconces itself as canonical in my head. It kills me. I've done a total 180 on it but I don't know that I'll ever actually finish it again.

Liked the first episode a lot. The second didn't do a lot for me, though, as it meandered too much and didn't have good pacing, or all that much to offer.

I think this has been an issue compared to the first games first few episodes.

Sad that this prequel is going to leave a lot of open questions I think.

Finished episode 2 last night, still really enjoying it.

I've been wanting to replay LiS for a while, but the Bae vs. Bay thing has been killing me. Like, I want to see the Bay ending once, in context, but I just dunno that I can commit to it; I feel like just watching it on YouTube will rob it of its power, but at the same time I'm afraid to see that power for myself.

I was hoping Before the Storm would motivate me to go through with it (somehow), but instead it's reinforced my Bae tendencies. Ep 3 and the epilogue aren't likely to help, either... Bah.

Haha, yeah I'm a monster, my first choice was Bay. I played through twice after that though and picked Bae both times instead. And yeah I think it will be literally impossible for me to let Chloe die ever again.

I definitely have a strong attachment to the way my first playthrough went, but I loved going back and playing it again to make different choices. It's hard for some of them though, like I saved Kate on my first playthrough so I had to deliberately let her die in order to see how that all plays out, which is not very fun.

Good to see you back!

Wish that we'd have three more episodes instead of one to look forward to (not accounting for the bonus episode). Before the Storm could have been extended to a five-part series as well in my opinion. We'll see how everything wraps up soon I guess.

Still regularly listening to the soundtrack - Daughter did an amazing job.

Edit: regarding the ending choice of Life is Strange, on my first playthrough I chose :
Chloe. Kind of knew it was the emotional choice to make instead of the one that made sense. Guess all rationality ends there...

I just watch other outcomes on Youtube and pretend they're the non-canon choices.

You chose correctly and you're better off not seeing the Bay ending. I wish I was in your shoes!

The first one is my "natural" playthrough, the second one my "best path" playthrough and then when I replay it after a while I tend to make the same choices as the first time.

Eg I've saved Kate every time and chosen Bae > Bay every time (I watched the other ending though, sad that they put so much more work into that one), but I'll treat Madsen differently in my playthroughs, either more confrontational or nicer.

I've replayed the first season a few times and can never bring myself to diverge significantly from my original playthrough. As for that final choice, those of you who chose Bae are missing the point. Bay isn't the choice you want, but it's the one that is needed.

Just because Bay is the ending that makes sense and is actually well done doesn't make it the right ending! >:(

Bae is also better because there's no confirmation that any of those characters died. It's not even heavily implied. There's a very real possibility that at least the majority of them lived.

It's the best of both worlds. You get the girl and (hopefully) no one died. Win win!

I'm sure it's fine! :D

EVERYTHING IS FINE. Bae > Bay the first time, and after BtS even more so. Chloe can't keep getting fucked over by life in that town, that just ain't fair. that town can get wiped out.

Also in the Bae ending, AT LEAST Kate survives since she's with her parents out of town. That much is sure!

Bay doesn't make sense though, is the thing. The choice is arbitrary either way but the Bay ending makes less sense than the Bae ending. Everyone should watch this video at some point https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19xgdLF5agU
I've become content with the new voice actor for Chloe after getting used to it, but watching this reminded me how much better Ashly was. I'm still pissed they basically replaced everyone character's voices.

I like BtS/Rhianna's version of the character a bit better (although this might be protagonist bias - I relate to her VERY strongly), but I like Ash too. They kind of exist alongside eachother in my head. I think Rhianna's deadpan snark makes a lot of sense for Chloe to me. I also think she kills it with the more vulnerable stuff, like the junkyard scene in episode 1.

Some of the new voices are rough, though. Samuel really sucked. David and Wells weren't so hot either.

That wasn't by choice though, they had to because of the strike.
Well, there's a reason for the strike, right? Isn't that on Square Enix and doesn't it show how much they care about their voice actors if they're willing to just replace everyone?

The part where Chloe goes around hitting things with her bat is actually one of the scenes which I think shows where Rhianna is lacking. I feel like she doesn't have the range that Ashly has and it shows in her relatively monotone delivery in that part of the scene. The moment where she sees the car is better, but I think that Ashly would've pulled off the entire junkyard scene much better overall.

Square Enix wasn't a primary target of the strike/target for the complaint, but was caught in the cross-fire:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016–17_video_game_voice_actor_strike

"The 2016-17 video game voice actor strike was a strike started on October 21, 2016, by the Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) union against 11 American video game developers and publishers (ActivisionPublishing, Inc.; Blindlight, LLC; Corps of Discovery Films; Disney Character Voices, Inc.; Electronic Arts Productions, Inc.; Formosa Interactive, LLC; Insomniac Games, Inc.; Interactive Associates, Inc.; Take 2 Interactive Software; VoiceWorks Productions, Inc.; and WB Games, Inc) over failed contract renegotiation terms that had been in discussion since February 2015."

There wasn't much SE could've done at that point, since they weren't the reason for the strike. And they couldn't just delay the game indefinitely so they had to make changes. I don't blame them for that at all, that's just what happened with no way around it.
