Rumor: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is SP only, not developed by Raven Software

The only thing I can think of is maybe this will be more of an add-on to the original Modern Warfare Remastered, with perhaps the mw2 MP maps being ported into that game's MP down the line. :/ Retail listing could be for a psychical release of MW1+2 remastered SP and the MW1 remastered MP. I can't see any other way you could sell just the SP as a standalone.

If they didn't have faith in BO4 they'd just exclusively bundle MW2R with BO4 like they did with Infinite Warfare and MWR.
I have been saying that since MWR was announced.
Add all the maps and whatever weapons made sense within 4's weapon balance.

Well, if you really wanna take the COD business model to its logical conclusion, it already doesn't make sense to release a new $60 game with multiplayer and microtransactions every 12 months. At this point, COD should really just be one game with a new season pass every year. Part of me wishes this had happened to COD4 back in 2007, which a ton of people would probably still be playing had it not been for the 10 CODs since.

I wanted to get MWR but I didn't want Infinite Warfare too. Plus loot boxes and need to pay for the old map pack DLC again made me sour.
Was going to buy MWR when it finally went standalone but I saw the community was dead so no point buying it.
If the MP beta for BO4 feels bland like BO3 and WWII this will be my 4th year without buying any new COD games.
Shame too, because I have a real itch.
I'd just play some BO2 on PC, but the community is pretty dead there too, at least in my country. It's been long enough only the handful of most die hard fans still play.

What the F#*K would the point even be?! The only reason I'm excited about this is so I can return to that multiplayer. I see multiple people on my friends list who frequently play MP on Modern Warfare Remastered, and I assume they're not the only ones. This would be a truly baffling decision.

They increased the price of the Variety Map Pack as well. $9.99 for 4 maps back in 2008, $14.99 for 4 remastered maps in 2017 (although you also got 10 Rare Supply Drops).
Everything they could do to rip off customers off with it they basically did it!

I never understood why. The game is a hilariously unbalanced mess. From zero-recoil weapons, to one man army, to tac knives, to heartbeat sensor, to akimbo shotguns. It was ridiculous.
Or maybe that's precisely why? Admittedly, it was fun running around with troll loadouts.
It was fun as hell! That's why. They absolutely nailed it with this one. Maybe MW was objectively a purer experience but I always preferred the sequel. It was nuts.
Goes without saying that I have no interest in SP only.
I loved the campaign and it is my favorite cod campaign, but, NO MULTIPLAYER?!?

Weapons looked to be a major mistake but for me after initial adjustments they balanced well.
Though the Honey Badger did easily become my favorite COD4 weapon so idk.
Before glitches were massivly exploited it was a pretty fun game. Not as good as Halo, but it was a nice change of pace. If they rebalanced a few things and fixed the glitches, the game would easily be the best COD in the multiplayer department.

As much as I loved MW2's single player, not including MP would be dumb as hell. Thats what most people want.
This is not why people played MW2 get the fuck out here with that nonsense. You're paying $25 for a 6 hour campaign.
Would take it from day one buy to never. SIngle player is fine, but MW2 is my favorite multiplayer of the franchise. Besides, didn't MW"Remastered do really well?

I wasn't even going to touch the multiplayer cause I had a feeling they will fuck it up by selling you the same map packs and even add in micro transactions. When I first heard about it, I just wanted to get it for the sp so I was going to wait till it was on sale, so this news doesn't really affect me, unless they release it with a reasonable price, which let's be honest they ain't going to do. Although I guess I could have just seen the mp as a nice little freebie with my purpose. And before anyone asks, yes I'm one of those that actually like the campaign on cod games and these days I like them more than the multiplayer.
Edit: Maybe we'll get lucky and they throw in mw3 campaign as well for that $25 asking price.
