I've run the story on two consoles so far on 3 characters each, if you are interested in finishing rapidly these are some of the things that helped

- check and see if you infused your first exotic weapon from IO, if not the level requirement will be much lower than 20 and you can equip it quickly on an alt (if you happened to infuse it the level requirement jumps)
- try to keep some weapons that are lower level locked for your 3rd play through (if you didn't on your first play through - you will be able to equip them to raise power a bit faster)
- I would run the story until the public events were open on titan and earth and then was able to jump back and forth to "quickly" level to 20 and steamroll the rest of the story
- use the xp boost medallion you received after finishing the story on one character for your second play through only after opening up the public events.

Yeah, really good advice. The first few sections of the game are a bit of a slog no matter what, and actually deterred me from leveling my third character for a while. But once you have the Titan publics and a few on Earth you can hit the level max in a few hours. I think each Heroic public gives approximately 1 level up until about level 17 or 18.

Once I hit 20 and could trade over my weapons from an ALT I went from 200 LL to 250 then 280 after a few armor drops. It took me two weeks to get my Titan and Hunter to max level, and less than a week to max my Warlock.

Unfortunately I don't think I am going to get this on PC right now so I am really starved for content.

First time playing Destiny, I like the more streamlined approach of weapons, instead of having 5 different types like in borderlands.

Also, can you change the subclass? I have the one with the lightning pole at the moment, just started

Are there any ResetEra Destiny 2 clans on PS4? The GAF one I was a member of fell apart (for obvious reasons).

Are heroic public event worth doing past 260? Also is the discord open for invites ?
Nah. There is a small chance you might get an exotic engram from the heroic chest but in my experience, it was one every 10 hours or so with the fireteam medallion on.

Do adventures, and lost sectors, and collect tokens to turn in until you hit 265. then the exotic weapon missions and milestones of the week.

Public events are one of the only things worth doing towards end game.

I thought only milestones/nightfall/raid/crucible gave you power level scaled gear after 260? I'm still trying to figure out how all this works.

Ah thanks, this clears it up

Correct (except for Crucible). Mostly they're worth it because they can be done fast and easily and are guaranteed to pay out in tokens, glimmer, and some blues you can dismantle on top of the occasional legendary and exotic. If you're doing it on a Flashpoint planet, you'll usually get even more due to the extra yellow bar enemies they throw at you. As long as you're jumping from one public event to the other, it's the fastest paying out activity you can do. Milestones/Nightfall/Raid should be priority but after that Public Events are one of the next best activities.

So how good is the PC version guys?

Running on a very high end rig (1080ti, i7 6700k, 16GB RAM) but it's fantastic. 80+ frames at 1440p with everything maxed out and resolution at 150%

Controls take a few hours to get used to but I'm snappier than I ever will be on a controller.

Honestly, I'm excited to just play the raid now.

How much are adventures worth doing? They don't seem especially interesting and I'm guessing I'm overlevelled (level 14 and I've finished the Titan story missions). Should I just plough on with the main story and maybe come back later?

I thought they were a lot of fun, you'll get decent rewards from them as well. I would leave some for when you finish the campaign so you have more options whilst leveling.

Some of them are even better than the story missions, and they can give you nice rewards in terms of experience/blue gear/ability points, so I'd say they are worth doing if you're still leveling up

Unless you're interested in the lore or need a few more subclass upgrade points, don't bother. I finished all of them on my Warlock for the sake of completion and cleaning my maps.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I'm not super bothered about lore - the game hasn't really done it on that front for me so far, so I think I'll do some more story missions rather than adventures and go back if I need to.

They really need to fix crucible bad, in my opinion. Just every game is MIDA's, Last Hope and Uriels.

It just becomes boring.

I actually feel like I've seen less MIDAs than I used to

But yeah, the Omolon sidearms and Uriel's are everywhere

I agree, I'm seeing less MIDA kills than I was, although I still seem to hear it pretty often. Lots of Uriels though.

I've been having fun running double SMGs (Antiope and Mob Justice) on my Titan with Peacekeeper legs. Working on staying in cover better to get in close consistently but I feel I don't lose to scouts often.

This is because Last Hope is actually broken right now. It doesn't make sense to use anything but that as it's BIS by a mile.

That being said, aggressive play has worked well for me to counter the MIDA meta. The thing about MIDA is that the best MIDA counter is generally MIDA, which is why everyone is using it since they're under the impression everyone is using it. Antiope + Last Hope is a good aggressive loadout if you can manage to get used to pushing tight spaces and not peeking long lanes.

Any tips for guided games? I'm a solo player and am going to be Q'ing up for it tonight. I am iLevel 240 and have read some guides on the nightfall. Should I wait until iLevel 250 or is 240 enough?
?

240 is a stretch. Bare minimum is tough in the Nightfall especially if you end up getting matched in Guided Games with two other 240's. I would personally wait and save yourself the struggle, but it's not impossible.

I made it in.

I forgot how tedious it was to get first character to 265. Was spoiled handing those 305 weapons to my alts.

Oh it's so good to be here! Also, Better Devils is a joy. Still trying to get Hawthorne's shotgun, then i'll be pretty happy.

folks... hello!

Can't seem to tackle the Nightfall this week with my two hunter friends. We've tried maybe 6 times at this point and we're not super sure what we're doing wrong <_<

Does anyone even do patrols? Seem absolutely pointless to have these scattered everywhere.

Took half a day for me to get a confirmation email, but I'm finally in here. Good to have a thread to lurk in again.

Patrols need a revamp; the tokens aren't worth the effort. They need to add gear to the payout or something.
