Just a few hours left, so I'm crossing my fingers mine will get shipped as promised three times now.

edit:

Just received an email for the shipping lol. It hasn't registered with UPS yet, so I'm guessing it'll go out tomorrow. Progress.

:( I'm sad right now. Spent all weekend watching as my super NT made it's way from vegas to Cincinnati and finally the local sorting facility and even got to watch it "go out for delivery" only to have "delivery attempted , no one home" pop up during a time when someone was indeed home. 2 Phone calls later and there's no way I can get it tonight so I've instead scheduled it to show up at my work tomorrow where I know someone will be there at least. Wish this were as simple as any other shipping company where I could have just picked it up locally at like 7pm but noooo, had to use a commercial level shipping outfit that keeps it on a truck until 8pm that needs 24 hours notice to pick up at a shipping center (that's 40 minutes away by car) or 48 hours notice to leave it closer :( :( Ah well, at least I know it's close , finally. Just wish it had shipped out last wednesday like they were aiming for, it might have got here on friday when there would have been 2 people at my house instead of just 1.

It wouldn't have mattered how many people where home if they weren't sitting in front of your house when they showed up.

Mine finally received status in the UPS system. It'll ship tomorrow, and be here on Wednesday! So, Analogue/Shipping Co., have stepped up to not only refund the entire shipping charge, but they are doing next day delivery too! Only downside is that it requires signature. Two posts up, has happened to me, and I'd hate for it to happen again. I'm just 30 feet from the door, delivery guy didn't knock or anything. Didn't hear the truck, etc. I checked status and it was showing the delivery attempted no one home. Even though my back door is open, cars are in the driveway. He goes to the utility room door, never knocks, puts a "we'll try again tomorrow" notice, and leaves.

Praying that it doesn't happen again.

Does it say direct signature or indirect signature required? If it says indirect signature, you can put the tracking number and your signature on a piece of paper and they'll leave it.

Otherwise you could try leaving a note on the door that says you're home, please knock, etc. Might work.

also I should add another random tidbit - for some reason my cellular phone number was correct on analogs file but 100% incorrect on DHL's file, like it was so wrong that I dont' even know if it was a real phone number.

Here's the message:
Signature Required At the request of the Shipper, Authorise Shipment Release is not available.

I'm already covering the front door and the two back doors lol. One will always be open though, and I can see all the way to the corner of the house from my couch.

They gave you shipping back? I still don't have mine (it's supposed to be here tomorrow) and it took over a month so I'm going to go ahead and ask for a reimbursement. Hope I get it.

Speaking of refunds, Analogue were supposed to refund me $5.xx USD last month after switching my next day DHL International shipping to UPS Standard. I followed up a couple days ago (about a month after the original email exchange), but no answer yet.

As great as the product is, I can't say I've been impressed with Analogue, so far.

That's pretty much been par for the course since their first product.

I was very surprised to see the refund. They did it for me because the system kept rejecting my order to be shipped. Also, even after letting them know mine hadn't been shipped, they said the error was corrected, and then it again got rejected for shipping. Mine was the only one this happened to.

Wait, Analogue is giving refunds to people who got late shipments?

Do you have to e-mail Analogue about your shipment being delayed or something?

UPS says it was delivered to "Locker", but it's not in our apartment building's Parcel Pending system. Great.

Gonna talk to the leasing office tomorrow and see if it was delivered there by mistake and misentered in the tracking info, or if they can open up the lockers and see if it was delivered to one of them without being registered with the PP system.

Otherwise going to have to reach out to Analogue and get them to sort it out with UPS *sigh*

Got mine today. Realized micro sd cards with an adapter don't work with it. More money to spend..

Kevtris used a micro sd card in an adapter for all of his dev work so it must be something with your card or the way you formatted it or copied the data over.

Yeah my bad, the card I was using wasn't once used for a retropie setup and formatting the card didn't take out the boot properties. I completely formatted it again and it works now.

Is there any news on the ability to order the SFC version then? I tried tweeting at Analog but got no response. I don't really wanna go for the black one. It doesn't seem SNES like for me.

Have to wait on the next production run. Sentiment in this thread is that it's inevitable since they aren't doing any highly expensive limited-run parts and that it has mostly sold out both existing runs already.

Got mine last week. Loving it so far. Kinda regret picking the black color but given that I ordered quite late, I'm just happy that I got mine on the second dispatch.

Has anyone notice some slow emulation on the jailbreak v6.5? I did a very simple comparison with Super Mario World (rom from SD using jailbreak vs read cartridge) and the slowness was very noticeable in areas with lot of sprites. Just wondering if this is a thing or it's just my imagination.

Really want to grab one but it seems that Black has been the only color available for some time... Does anyone know if there are plans for them to get the other colors back in stock? Seems they've been out of stock for a while... was that a one time thing, or are they just very slow at getting more of those made for order?

Yes. Another wave is planned but Analogue hasn't given anymore information than that. Makes me wonder if they're trying to figure out their shipping situation.

Playing on the Super NT so far I would say I've noticed a normal amount of slowdown compared to playing on SNES. I haven't done comparisons of playing off SD card vs. cart, but I can't say I've noticed anything really unusual playing off of SD card. However I am very interested to see how true and consistent this really is. Which area did you notice the slowdown in Mario? I have been playing MMX2 and there are definitely some areas with bad slowdown but like I mentioned it seems consistent with playing on real SNES (unfortunately can't test that one on SD card).

I did a really quick test: SMW from the SD card through jailbreak, the level just before the third castle, when you pick up the star before the level ends, game runs super slow.

Running same game from cartridge, no slow down whatsoever.

Vanilla Dome 4? Not finding a star near the end. Different level or am I being a dumbass?

The only thing I can think of close to that in Mario is Vanilla Dome 2 with the rotating block, I didn't get any weird slowdown there playing off the SD card.

Sorry I meant first castle, this level:

There's a star right after you're out of the pipe, take it and jump over the spiky things, I got a very noticeable slowdown running from SD.
Alright I was able to reproduce the slowdown you described but it acted the same way on my cartridge, seems like it's the # of sprites on screen causing it. There was noticeably less slowdown when I didn't have an item on both the cart and SD.

I didn't notice the slowdown running from the cart, but I can't recall if I had an item or not, will give it a try. Maybe it's nothing after all.

Yep, same. Can get it to happen on both. It is probably hitting a sprite limit but I'll have to experiment more with the option that lets you up the limit to 64 Sprite Tiles (Video > Extra Features). How to replicate it but it depends on where moving elements are on the screen so isn't always easy:
  1. Make sure you have an item saved up in the top
  2. When you get to the section with the star, if you come up out of the pipe you have to walk backwards to get the star which causes a spike ball to spawn from the left (heading right), otherwise you can walk passed the star over to the pipe and then walk back to make it spawn, doesn't seem to matter as long as the spike ball is present and moving to the right.
  3. Time getting the star when the spike is nearly under you and then jump over in the water trying to keep the spike ball nearby.

I've never used brasso, but I will say literally anything anyone says works well for cleaning, others will say is bad. You will even see people saying rubbing alcohol is too much. There is no winning. I've seen people say no alcohol, no metal polishers, no pencil erasers. Whatever. It is bad.

I've used isopropyl alcohol + pink eraser. The rare situation that doesn't work, magic eraser with some isopropyl alcohol. Neither of my methods have shown any negative affects to the plethora of carts I've cleaned over the years.

I've never seen anyone, anywhere, ever say that an eraser and isopropyl alcohol is bad. The most I've ever seen is people saying to make sure to use as high percentage an alcohol as you can. I've never ever seen anyone say its bad. I have seen tons of compelling evidence for why brasso is horrible to use and maybe now people will listen to that.

There you go, you've seen someone say not to use alcohol now.

The metal polish debate will last forever because you have people on one side saying not to do it, and people on the other side doing it with success. People against it are literally arguing against results. That isn't to say the people against it are wrong, but it's a hard uphill battle to convince people to stop doing the thing that is working for them.
