I loved this game on PS3. I wish I still had our family racing wheel.

I'm probably going to hold off on this until its a bit cheaper since the improvements aren't immediate (and no big changes overall) but this is definitely on my radar.

I'd like to be taken down to Paradise City.

Can't wait to get off work Friday! I loved what I played of this last gen, but barley scratched the surface.

did they tone down the bloom (I hope they did :P) or are the screenshots just taken at a different time/weather?

I was initially excited about this announcement, but after seeing the lackluster effort put into this so-called "remaster", I can comfortably say I'll pass on this one.

Id love to support this game, I really would. But I really didnt like Paradise. I loved Takedown and Revenge but i never thought the open world formula worked for Burnout. I feel like to ever even get a chnce at a new Burnout or a Revenge remaster I have to buy this :/

The impressions from Jeff on the Bombcast were really good. I am excited again.

I'm buying this just to see the multiplayer busy as hell. I can't wait for it. Haven't played it in 8 or so years, very excited to revisit. Burnout Paradise is my favourite racer of all time by a LOOONG shot.

People have been claiming this remaster is just an "upres" and "just the PC version ported" to the new consoles. Digital Foundry says they're wrong.

Curious to find out the native res on PS4 Pro. It's native 4K on XB1X.

I really didn't / still dont get the love for this game.

Every other burnout was head and shoulders above this due to one simple fact, open world racing is possibly the most annoying thing ever.

The remaster cannot escape the core gameplay being frustrating and tedious in equal measure.

Played the EA Access version last night. Looks sharp and plays great. I don't care if it's a lazy port, it's still incredibly satisfying.

I got the full game early and after 30 hours of playing it certainly feels like an upres and nothing else on XB1S at least, there's even still bugs present from last gen versions.

Aside from that, playing challenges again has been alot of fun, I really hope we get a sequel.

Guess you've got no reason to be in this thread then.....

I had more fun with Paradise than 3 and Revenge whether that's playing offline or online with friends.

I love the sandbox design from the races to just fooling around doing stunts or doing collectibles. What's not to get??

Also your opinion isn't "fact" lmao

Love Burnout a lot since the very first game and played Paradise to death back in the day... However I don't see a reason to get this as it barely improves anything over the original.

Ya, its not a straight port thats for sure, while I was happy to see some minute changes, things like LOD pop and such are still present which can ruin a couple of the new effects they do use. Nicer textures here and there. In the end the old gameplay folks love or hate is there which is cool though.

Same. I played that game so much, and basically used it as a party chat room, but I don't see why I wouldn't just boot it up on PS3 if I wanted to play it again. It still looks good, and it's basically the same game.

I hope y'all have fun without me, though. Especially those of you playing for the first time.
There's so much stuff to do, and Big Surf Island is a great level.

I miss those arcade racers.

All the pictures under "screens" in OP are from the old versions of the game instead of the Remaster excluding the first picture. And for the second picture I think you meant to use this picture instead:

Anyways, looking forward to friday, going to get this on PS4. Burnout Paradise is one of my favourite games of all time.

I wish they fixed the mini map, it's archaic. Should always face the way you are going.

The open world aspect of Paradise required much more precise maneuvering, and a single error in recognizing which turn to take at break neck speeds could result in catastrophic consequences.

I myself loved the challenge, and if you have a positive mindset about it all the learning curve ain't so bad.

With that said, 3 and Revenge are more fun for the simple fact they are what Burnout is all about in the purest form. Races are linear, so all that's left for the player to focus on is going as fast as possible while wrecking everything in sight.

They were all under the "remaster" captions. I think the problem might be in having to resize them all instead of putting them in quotes because of the forum software.

Was Paradise the one with ~5 different versions of that Avril Lavigne tune, Girlfriend? I think one was in Japanese...

Edit: nevermind, I'm thinking of Dominator

Was a bigger fan of burnout revenge but this seems cool.
The real question is, how different is this from the PC version that was released before?
