OP's title is asking a question, if you don't like a posters response you shouldn't be making the question in first place. Mention of other platforms does not immediately constitute port begging. However, let's keep our posts thoughtful and not resort to drive-bys.

I'm pretty hyped for it. It's been a while since we got a WarioWare game and I've enjoyed most of the entries.
This is also the first time I'll get to play some of the Twisted microgames as that game never came out in Europe.

Wario Ware is one of the most consistently fun Nintendo franchises I have played. From the GBA one to the multiplayer on the GameCube version, it was always fantastic and I'm so excited for the new one.

I love the WarioWare series, but doesn't this look like just some kind of previous games' rehash?

I completely understand why it's on the platform it is, but I'm done with 3ds. Otherwise I'd be on board.

I think the hype is gobbled up by the disappointment in lack of Switch version, but I'm hyped. I'll definitely still get it

I'm mainly disappointed because it's a remake collection. I've played all those games to completion. Meanwhile Nintendo has an opportunity to innovate Warioware in meaningful ways on other hardware, and they're not doing it. I'm pretty unlikely to buy this because it's a remake of games that didn't need being remade.

Warioware was literally my favorite thing from Nintendo in the 2003-2009 timespace. Maybe the only thing from Nintendo I loved.

Are they just testing the waters with this? I hate how companies use remakes to judge interest.

It's been almost a decade since the last "real" WarioWare game (I'm not counting Game & Wario even though I actually kinda liked it) so even if most of the microgames are remakes, I'm still excited to play it.

Also, while everyone wants a new WarioWare for Switch, let me put forth: WarioWare for mobile. Honestly, it's the Nintendo franchise that lends itself best to rapid-fire, one-handed, short-burst gameplay.

How would you monetize it?

I'll never forget how stoked I was for Wario Ware touched. I read about it in Nintendo Power and showed a picture of it to my pops, and it was the toilet paper rolling mini game and my dad refused to let me get it because he thought it was some super perverted game hahaha

I would have been if it was before the Switch released and I was still taking my 3ds around. I'm not a fan of juggling multiple gaming handhelds so I've moved on to Switch. Looks great though!

This isn't a 'why not on switch' post, cos I don't think original warioware would even work on switch, but as much as I am keen for this I really can't see me dusting off the 3ds. I couldn't do it for Metroid (even though I have a copy), so don't see wario managing it either

Because switch games need to work handheld and docked and warioware wont as it reallu needs the touch screen

(I know there are some handheld only touch games but Nintendo won't do this with first party, it confuses the switch branding)

Edit: original warioware is not right, I mean the touchscreen warioware games that make up this collection

Original Wario Ware didn't use a touch screen. But I think on switch a combination of old games and new could work fine. The DS touch screen and twisted motion games have to be played in a separate handheld only mode but GameCube and GBA games can be played in any mode. And the new games would utilise all the switches features fully, maybe even cleverly switching between handheld and TV somehow.

Yeah, I was about to say, the original game was on GBA and later ported the GC before any touch/motion stuff was included, but yeah, for the later ones this is probably true

WarioWare and Rhythm Heaven are two of my favorite game series. The WW reveal in the Direct got me more hyped than anything else they showed off. The greatest hits Rhythm Heaven was amazing and I have high hopes for this WW.

I kind of hope there's new Warioware content - not just recycled Minigames. That being said I never got Twisted in the UK so if these are here then so am I!

Yeah I've corrected myself above, but what you describe I just don't think will happen - Nintendo first party games all need to be fully functional handheld and docked to deliver on the switch promise. Stuff that requires you to switch modes on the fly, or that you couldn't play fully in either mode, won't work from a brand point of view

I love WarioWare games but this might be the first one I pass on. I have really moved on from the 3DS. If this had come out last year I would have been all over it. I know that sounds shallow but I don't carry 2 handhelds around with me and I think if I buy it it would just go right to my "Pile of Shame" because I wouldn't play it. And 5 months from now when big releases are hitting other platforms I'll have my plate full.

WarioWare's always been fun so it's a shame it took a hit after DIY (which I would love to see a sequel to on the Switch---also BODY ROCK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asHn904c8NI so has to be included in Gold)...

So yeah hyped for this! The cast of characters are all pretty underrated and need to be crossover to the Mario spin-offs, at the very least Jimmy and Mona which don't look too "off" from the rest of the Mario cast.

My favorite character is probably Young Cricket. I'd love to see him in Smash.

It's a bit before release (comes out in August), but it's probably the game I was most excited for in the Direct, even if it's a compilation of past micro-games with new one sprinkled in like Rhythm Heaven Megamix (which I loved), because I love the WarioWare games.

Day 1 for me. Japanese title is pretty good. Reminded me of World Heroes Gorgeous.

Wario Ware games are fun, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the (still very fun) Wii game. I didn't bother with the Wii U game because reviews were pretty poor.

I think these are perfect party games, so being relegated to handhelds is disappointing to me.

10min before the direct started I looked to my friend and said "there's no way they'll announce anything WarioWare". 11min later I had my hands on my head. Let's freaking go.

I love WarioWare but as others have said, it being on 3DS ya dampened my spirits. I'm all over the Switch and having to deal with two handhelds is a bit of a hassle for me. It is what it is.

WarioWare is one of my favorite Nintendo franchises, so I'm super pumped. Hopefully, we'l get a game on Switch eventually. For now, I'll take whatever WW I can get.

The game is a great collection of some of my favourite minigames from the series, I'll probably pick it up. I would have preferred it on Switch because going back to the 3DS screen is kinda blergh but will do for this when it eventually lands I think, the perfect handheld game!

I love WarioWare, when I first read that it was coming I was super hyped for a moment... but then I saw the system and the hype went away. I'm just done with the 3DS, I loved the thing but its time has passed and its hard to go back.

My hype died the moment I noticed it was 3ds.

Not port begging, but I only own one Nintendo system now. I really wish this was on switch.

I want to be hyped but it has microphone games. Microphone games are always completely bad. Just finished a replay of Spirit Tracks and any time I had to use the mic was so annoying.

Maybe if they are all in their own section but I'd have to wait until after release and for people to get it to ask.

Nothing was worse than hitting a microphone section of a DS gsme in public...but don't mind so much at home.

I have to say I am never the "3DS is stealing Switch games!!!!!!!!" nonsense type of person, but I was really hoping this was going to be a dual 3DS/Switch release like Captain Todd. I'm kinda struggling to plan out the purchases between those two platforms as is, and Warioware Gold not being available on Switch was a bit of a bummer. Especially because it wouldn't be a stretch for either visuals or inputs.

That said it's mega cool to get a nice WW collection. With all these new 3DS titles, I'll probably be picking a lot of them up later on with some price drops (and I'm looking forward to doing so).

New WW game when? Game & Wario is absolutely a fun title, but I need them microgames. Anything Warioware which is new would be appreciated.

Ugh, if the microphone stuff isn't optional I'll probably pass on this game.

I won't lose any sleep over skipping a 3DS game in 2018 anyway.
