This show is like %90 bad but for some damn reason I like Joel and the %10 that he nails is fucking great.

Does Joel help write the show?

It's cute. The big jokes land pretty big, but there are a ton of misfires. Especially with the celebrity cameos.

Don't see the harm in continuing to watch. I really liked the transitions. The one that played instruments from all over the world was hilarious.

My thoughts exactly.

Man, what a bummer this show has been. I used to watch The Soup regularly and launch my ass off. I didn't get a single chuckle out of today's episode.

Just discovered this series and its enjoyable, always a fan of McHale, than i noticed they left Tasmania off of the map of Australia. How dare they!

Overall the show is a good 25 minute distraction.

I keep giving this a chance and then turning it off halfway. Its just not funny and a sheepaudience laughing manically makes it even worse.

Liked the new episode and enjoy finding new trash MTV shows to rag on. Glad to see they fixed the messy lighting from last week.

I watched the episode from last week....that is to say I watched 5 minutes of it. Couldn't stomach watching any more. It feels like a youtube show.

They need to go ahead and bring Dona Dorable on(or not) and put this bit to bed. It was wasn't funny this week and took up too much of the show.

You know Donna Dorable is gonna show up sooner rather than later.

Of course, I am still waiting for the Olsen twins to show up on Last Week Tonight.

I enjoyed the first two episodes, but didn't care so much for the very last one. I guess that's the last one?

Anyway, the first two had us rolling

New episode is up.

That Japanese game show...
Oh shit, I missed the Soup showing Japanese game shows so much.
Literally the reason I started checking them out(well besides always loving MXC) was a clip they showed of a guy's ass getting launched into the face of another guy who was locked down.

Seems like they didn't show any for years before it ended though.

Edit:Definitely feels like it is improving as they get more comfortable with everything, getting a bit tighter.
I think I have seen that game show it is typically hilarious.

I have definitely seen that Japanese movie though.... its absolutely garbage.

I was hoping the shows premise would have evolved a bit but it didn't at all. The show worked well in the early 00 because of the sheer glut of bad reality TV so it exposed how much there was. Now? It just feels out of touch.

I watched 3 episodes hoping it would get better but it remains rather lame unfortunately.

I so very much disagree with this, Riaru Onigokko is a great surrealistic horror film. There is a reason Sion Sono is such an iconic filmmaker. This maybe isn't his best work, but it is still pretty damn good.
I watched it right after watching this lousy episode. What a great movie. I was expecting it to be dumb after the clip they used, but it's kinda like Robocop or Starship Troopers with extreme surrealism thrown all over them.

It is literally 'The Soup' with a different name, and more swearing. It has always been like this.

No, it's The Soup minus comedy.

The show isn't funny because the writing sucks, not because the format sucks.

I gave it two episodes and I couldn't get through either of them, and I loved The Soup. Plus the clips they pull here are oddly uninteresting.

New episode was pretty good. First appearance of anime. I sort of feel like Japan will give this show more ammo than they know what to do with, though.

That Japanese elevator prank had me laughing so hard my chest was hurting. Then in the next clip my wife got to see first hand just how fucking creepy anime is.

Also that Netflix documentary Short was perfect.

Paul Feig, stop. Please. You have better things to be doing then making awful cameos.

I eagerly await the resumption of the Donna Dorable feud. The Eric McCormack bit was great.

I was just disappointed they didn't do a Franxx reference given that Kim Kardashian was talking about it last week.

I think people should go back and watch old Soup episodes. Its literally this lol.

Most recent episode was probably my fave, but I've enjoyed them all. Easy watching, only weekly thing I've stuck with this long on Netflix.

Yeah I really don't see the difference other than this has to start from scratch with the in-jokes and 'chicken tettrazini' type recurring clips.

Yeah, I don't get the complaints that this is missing something that The Soup had.

The Soup was frequently unfunny too! The charm of both these shows is the laidback, low-budget feel of it. Especially on E! it felt like they were getting away with something. The standard of humour has always been the exact same. Some jokes landed harder than others, but it was very much the same show this is.

I feel a lot of the naysayers either only starred paying attention to Joel after the Soup or are not from the U.S and never got the show in their home country,
