Halo Top ice cream

We sold out at my store in Toronto, but I am skeptical.
Maybe this is the next Krispy Kreme fad kinda thing haha.

Know what does taste delicious though? Those PC Dairy-Free coconut milk mango flavour icecreams! It tastes like eating mangos and so good.. Alas. Also a bit pricy for small size, but not as high priced as haagen daaz or ben and jerry's.

Dude that caramel macchiato tho. Easily their best flavor yet.

I just have one Mars ice cream bar per sunday to satisfy my candy and ice cream need for the week.

These ice creams cost $10 in Australia.

When I first started seeing them on store shelves in Houston they were around $5/pint. Now I can find them at Heb for around $4/pint, which is still pricey versus regular ice cream but cheaper than a typical Smoothie King shake with less calories.

I'm still hoping we'll find those Breyers DeLights in stores soon.

My GF gave me some of the Vanilla Bean one, and told me it was this after.

It taste pretty much exactly like regular vanilla ice cream.

she left it to sit out for a bit i guess, but i didn't notice anything wrong with the texture.

The cocunut milk ones are no low calorie liek Halo Top of course.. but they taste good so.. *shrugs* :D

Breyers DeLights ARE available! We have those at my store!
Check around Loblaws/Zhers I guess. They were surprisingly.. NOT sold out. Maybe because no hype?

Halo Top? Uhh.. 6.99 I think? Sowehere around 6 bucks.
PC dairy-free is hm.. maybe 4.99 or 5.99 depending on the week. (I bought a few when they went on weird clearance/promo pricing at 2.54 or something).

Oatmeal is the goat, tastes kinda like Dunakroos.

Also making sure you let the ice cream sit to soften up before you eat it is clutch.

I did not like the Pancake and Waffles flavor. I'm hoping their Lemon Cake and Chocolate Covered Banana are better.

Halo is all that gets me through this presidency, tbh. Pistachio and peanut butter are my favorites. As for common complaints:

(1) If it's too sweet for you, try a different flavor. Some of them aren't very sweet at all. (2) If your flavor has a chalky texture, let it sit out or microwave it for ~10 seconds. It's basically just like regular ice cream when it isn't frozen.

Still not a big fan of it but it's certainly less unhealthy than traditional ice cream.

I had myfirst Halo Top the other day. It's good stuff. I can happily switch to this for the most part.

Tried some of the pancakes and waffle flavor just now. It's pretty good. 280 calories and 24 grams of sugar for the whole pint's pretty nuts, so I may end up buying these more often over standard ice cream.

Oatmeal Cookie, Peanut Butter Cup, and Caramel Macchiato are my go-to flavors. The Market Baskets in my area have this in stock at a much better price than when it first came out. Used to be $5.99 but they've got it for $3.99 now.

I noticed it uses 5g of sugar alcohol. Looked it up cause I didn't know what it was and was shocked to see that it helps prevent tooth decay.

The peanut butter cup is the only one I've found that I actually like rather than tolerate.

Love this stuff. The peanut butter and red velvet are the best. Sometimes ill get 2 for a week and a half of one after dinner.

I wish I can consistently find green tea ice cream in supermarket. They're so rare unless you go to an asian market.

Some flavors are reaaaaallly good.

Other ones like funfetti are awful.

Not only is it insane how many less calories Halo Top tends to be compared to other ice cream brands, but legitimatize some of their flavors are really good.

Oatmeal Cookie is truly excellent and not a flavor I've been used to in Ice Cream. Lemon Cake is a fantastic and subtle palette cleanser.

Pancake and Waffles though?
God. Tier.

Birthday Cake is my favorite but it doesn't look like too many others like it which is a good thing for me lol

The texture is different because they decided not to put certain fillers and additives in. You have to let it melt for a bit- 15 minutes I'd say, and it becomes creamy like regular ice cream.

I was genuinely surprised that my local supermarket had a bunch of the green tea flavor in stock. Picked that up along with the pancakes & waffles flavor since they were on sale. But yeah, I wish green tea ice cream was easier to find in general. It's one of my favorite flavors.

Same, it's an amazing flavor. But no, you can't find it, but you can totally find pistachio.

Haggen Dazs used to make them, I don't know why they stop.

Sigh. I hate when stores advertise things and then don't carry them.

Superstore claims they have this. Absolutely don't have it, and there are no tags on the shelves so...don't lie?

Haagen Dazs still makes the green tea flavor. I was able to get a pint of it a month ago at one of my local grocery stores. Had to blink a few times to make sure I wasn't hallucinating.

Bro, that's sweet. I can never find them anymore. I've been to Publix, Winn-Dixie, Target, Walmart, Safeway, Giant Food and every other american supermarket I could think of. I just don't see them anymore. It's really sad. I might just go to my local Chinese buffet and ask the owner where he get his supply of green tea ice cream and just buy like 10 gallon worth of it.

I liked Birthday Cake the one time I tried it. The first few bites tasted a bit odd for some reason, but after that, it was perfectly fine. Would buy again.

That sucks. Publix was where I found it. Maybe the flavor sold poorly in your area so it doesn't get stocked anymore? Hope you find some soon.

I bought pancakes and waffles flavour, it was 6.99 Canadian for a pint.........I don't see why people are going nuts over this?

lol, a patient of mine with an eating disorder told me she would eat this ice cream, which I thought was perplexing given how strict these patients are with their diet. Now i know why.

anyway, low fat ice cream like this seems to go against the very essence of what ice CREAM is supposed to be. I guess options are a good thing, but I dunno, this is like buying soda without carbonation. why bother?

I tired this stuff for the first time when they started stocking it at walmart. It has this weird super sweet tastes that lingers. Like there's a ton of artificial sugar or something. Maybe it was the flavor (rainbow swirl) so I might try something else before writing it off. I only eat a few bites of ice cream at a time so im not too concerned about calorie counts.

Finally tried the mochi green tea flavor. It's good in its own way, but there's nothing remotely "green tea" about the flavor, which was expected considering it's not even one of the ingredients. The little bits of mochi dough are a nice touch at least.

The stuff is phenomenal. I can't believe how similar it is to full fat ice cream. Obviously it's about half the weight, but still.

It's just a shame it's £5 for one tub in the UK.

I wait for the them to go on sale at Crest, that way i can get them for $3 a pint.

Canadian here, and I tried the peanut butter swirl as my first taste of this product yesterday. Not bad at all, although it could have used a bit more peanut butter in there. I've been looking for a dessert option that both satisfies me and limits me to stop me from going overboard on calories, so this might be it. Gonna pick up several more flavors today. Not the cheapest product at $6 each, but that's ok. Usually when I want something sweet I wind up spending about that much for a dessert that has far more calories anyways.

Noticed them at the supermarket. Tried the mint one. Taste was fine, texture a bit off but a fair trade for a "diet" ice cream.

One thing I did notice is that it's really, really light. Like the weight feels like a 5th of a haagen-daaz tub. I imagine there's a lot of air pumped in to the mixture to keep up the fluffiness.

So far I've had the peanut butter swirl caramel macchiato and the mint variety. They're not bad. Not amazing, but not bad.

I can say without a doubt that this type of ice cream isn't nearly as good once you start to let it melt a bit. I regret I wasn't able to locate the strawberry and lemon cake flavors so far. I think those would be my favorite out of them all.

The deLights are almost 10$.
Way too expensive !

I don't live next to a Tescos so dunno.

There's massive amounts hype for Halo Top here in Canada, so all of the stores are pretty much sold out.

I saw Breyer's Delights stocked up in the same area of the grocery store and noticed that it's literally the same amount of calories as Halo Top, so I gave it a go. I have to say, the chocolate Breyer's is magnitudes better than the chocolate Halo Top I tried in the states, I'm gonna try the other flavours as well to see how they stack up to Halo Top's other flavours.
