Super Lucky's Tale is really good.
Between that, Yuka laylee and SKylar, I'm convinced I really like 'mediocre' 3d platformers these days.

I blasted through Super Lucky's Tale over the weekend via Gamepass and quite enjoyed it. In fact I even threw the devs four quid by buying the DLC level afterwards.

It's very much a competent 6/10 3D platformer but I love platformers so sometimes that's really all I need. It's no Odyssey, obviously, but I also enjoyed it much more than Yooka-Laylee. The camera was better, the level design was tighter and it wasn't filled with awful minigames. A couple of weird difficulty spikes but otherwise it was very decent. I especially liked the haunted funfair levels.

I wouldn't have paid full price for it but it's a perfect Gamepass game.

Did they say why is that SoT get an pass?

It's a program called "Adaptive Certification Updates". Any developer on Xbox is able to participate, so it's not unique to SoT.

Update: Joe Neate has reached out to Stevivor to further clarify his original statement."As a service-based game designed to be updated incrementally throughout development, Sea of Thieves is part of Adaptive Certification Updates, a trust-based program open to all development partners," Neate told Stevivor."As such, we work closely with the Microsoft Studios certification team to quickly add new content and features to Sea of Thieves on a continuous basis, while ensuring the quality of the game consistently meets standard certification guidelines."

Yeah. It will just use the credit off your account. I wonder if Game Pass specific cards are available yet?

Thanks man! I'm about ready to buy an xbox one x but i live in a country where MS does not officially support us so i want to make sure i am able to use a lot of their services which appeal to me. Thanks, this was very helpful!

So this means Square could use this program to port FFXIV to xbone and they still haven't?

What will be their excuse now?
The same things:
1. That Microsoft requires a Xbox only option for crossplay when they need everyone to be running on the same servers so they can't port to Xbox until Microsoft changes policy.

2. That Sony doesn't let Xbox One play with PS4 and the game runs the same servers across all platforms so they can't port to Xbox until Sony changes policy.

Damn, I forgot what a great, great game ROtTR truly is.
If people have somehow still yet to play it, definitely check it out if you are signed up for Game Pass.
One of my favorite games from the past few years when all is said and done.
It can and does get comparisons to Uncharted, which I can say is also one of my favorite series in recent years, and as a complete package it does exceed it in many ways.
Just finished the final Tomb I had lingering. So all 9 are now complete. If I had one and only complaint for this game, it was not enough tombs.
Going to try and see if I can make a dent in some of the challenges I never did. I also have a few random Missions left here and there.
Revisiting the game definitely has me really, really psyched for a sequel. Hope it is coming sooner rather than later.
Just a brilliant fucking entry in the genre of "Adventure" games.

My subscriptions say my Game Pass will come to the end on 01/09/2018. However, I have a box that keep appearing on my Home screen saying "Only 7 days left" "Only 4 days left". Today it's "Only 2 days left".

What's going on there?

But last time they talked about they said that the only holdup was bypassing the certification process.

Of course, it did sound like they were just making excuses for a game they know they won't port anyway, but I would like to see them addressing it.

If it's the same one I'm seeing on my home screen it's referring to the 50% off discount on purchasing a month of gamepass. I'm subscribed until Feb 2020 and I'm still seeing it.

Any word if we will be able to pre-load sea of thieves with game pass? Hopefully we can and with state of decay as well.

I mentioned this in another thread but with Bing rewards you can easily get games pass for free each month. Takes about 5 minutes of work each day to get your searches done.

Super Lucky's Tale really is terrible. On top of that the frame rate isn't even that great.

Sign up for bing rewards and search the internet on your pc and phone and take some dumb quizzes each day.
its all free money, I make bing my main search engine and take quizes that literally take 30 seconds even if answer wrong. its pure free money for using bing. I used my money from bing this month because the had a sale on xbox live credit. I got $5 for the same price of $3, or close.

Yup the effort is minimal to get your points. If you max out your points everyday you should never have to pay for xbox live or games pass.

Oh... The cynic in me was thinking they will leave the game there for a couple of weeks then pull it so people would buy it. As a PS4 owner I hope Game pass becomes so popular that Sony make something similar (no thanks for PS Now).

That's great, I'd pick up an Xbox One just for this service if I didn't have too many consoles already.

Pretty sure Ybarra or Larry tweeted that first party games stay forever. It would be the equivalent of Netflix pulling Stanger Things from their service which is never going to happen

Microsoft explictedly said "permanently". That applies to all Xbox One exclusives.

No he didn't say "Microsoft Studios" games. Any Xbox One exclusive, even third party.

https://mobile.twitter.com/majornelson/status/956272492380737539

That's a mistake. See below:

Moving forward, we plan to release all new Xbox One exclusive games from Microsoft Studios into Xbox Game Pass on the same date as their global release.

They've stated they're interested in enabling that. Don't think it'll be in before Sea of Thieves releases though.

I played a little bit of Super Lucky's Tale and it feels like it would be the perfect game for me if I was 6 years old. It's a competent platformer but there are other games I'd rather be playing.

Is Bing rewards only available in US?

It's available in the UK.

Which leads me to ask a question I've been meaning to ask for a while.

To redeem a £25 Microsoft Store Gift Card it requires 29,250 points.
To redeem a £25 Xbox Digital Gift Card it requires 30,100 points.

So can Microsoft Store cards be used to redeem Xbox digital cards?

That's how I feel with most games these days. I'm trying gamefly for a month since it was $1 and seeing where I go from here. I might go game pass/gamefly for years as it seems like a pretty good way to play most stuff.

So, I have '1 Day Left to Renew' then underneath that I have 'Renew Game Pass Now'

Should I be worried? According to my account I am good until 7th July.

Is there a way to buy this if you only have a PC and no Xbox? I have an Xbox but I have some PC friends who want to try this once Sea of Thrives comes out, but I don't see a way for them to do it?

You can search for and buy Game Pass on the Microsoft Store on PC too: https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/CFQ7TTC0K6L8

When you search for Game Pass in the store, you just need to change the "available on" filter to be Xbox instead of PC, since while it does give you access to PC Play Anywhere games, it's not really officially "launched" on PC yet since there aren't that many PC games available for it:
