brainchild Hey, it's been a while! Throwing up the bat signal! I've continued to record videos every time I play and I continue to find cool little things. It's amazing. But I do hate juggling this thread with the other one :p
Edit: There's actually a number on this page I wanted to show you too but I dunno about posting all my videos in two threads.. one is spam enough lol.
I think you might find these interesting!
I wish there was a Beastiary that told you how many of every enemy type you've ever defeated as well as how many of every item type you've ever collected.
Well the Hero's Path does record deaths for the last 300 hours. But yeah, a nice screen full of statistics would be awesome. Don't think Nintendo would ever put it in though.
The toughest non-boss enemies in Zelda are usually either Lynels, Iron Knuckles, or Darknuts. Personally, I've always felt that Lynels were the hardest of the three. I'm so glad they finally showed up in a 3D Zelda, and that their design and fights were pretty much nailed perfectly*.So i'm 25 hours into this and hadn't had any problems with the enemies whatsoever.. but then i faced this Lynel guy near Zoras domain and god damn he was hard. It took me about 10 tries but it was enough to remind me of the hardest Souls bosses i've faced. Something about the controls makes me just press all the wrong buttons in stressed situations and having to go into the menus to heal doesn't help.
Either way, now I have a lot more respect for the difficulty of this game. People weren't kidding.
Okay one last one.
It just interrupted this Korok puzzle! I just love random feeling encounters in the game. So good.
I can't even get going in this game. I'm floundering trying to figure out how to get to the third initial shrine, i freeze and lose hearts, my weapons break almost immediately, it is insanely annoying always having to switch weapons/bows/shields, managing the inventory is a chore.
Just ugh so far.
I play this on the WiiU & the master trials are pissing me off.
The lenght of them are longer than my average daily gaming time & the WiiU doesn't have the Switch's standby mode.

I'm kind of out of the loop. How are the two DLC packs? Should I get both and play them seperately or can you just dive in with both?
Question.
I got into the Calamity Ganon fight by mistake, only have 1 divine beast done. If I die during the fight, do I have to redo his earlier stages, the electric, fire, and whatever the first one was? Kind of want to die on purpose.
Does beating Ganon this early lock me out of anything? Can I still do the Divine Beast stuff?
I also have a quick question!
I'm early into the game (~15-20h) and just made my way to Zora's domain after Kakariko/Hateno village. I have to swim up a mountain and face this 'Lynel' on top. Unfortunately he seems about a million times stronger than anything I've faced. His attacks kill me in a single hit (I only have 4/5 hearts so far) and my weapons seem to barely do any chip damage. The game has been reasonably easy thus far so I feel like I'm here way too early into the game. Am I supposed to go somewhere else entirely and save this bit for later? Or should I just keep trying? Some defense-boosting-food seems to help but even then I might not even get him down before all my weapons break. Or am I supposed to sneak around him and just pick up the electric arrows? The game doesn't seem very clear on this to me.
Anyway, thanks for the help!
Game doesn't quite blow me away like some of my friends have described it, but I am liking it more and more as I progress. :)

It being a stealth mission makes sense though. So if I can't take it down I'll just pick up the arrows and return at a later time. Can't have it remain there undefeated of course. :p
I didn't even bother going up to the top my first time there and instead opted to just buy electric arrows elsewhere. A lot of shops sold them. I got most of mine from Laurelin Village during my exploring and procrastinating.I also have a quick question!

The art direction in this game is fantastic. Also love the lightning they use. It feels so soft and natural.
My mind was a bit blown when i found out that your arrow gets on fire when you shoot them threw Campfires or sorts. Took down a couple of enemies with a singel arrow + campfire + Bomb barrels.
Yup. Just go to Goron City or anywhere near the volcano and drop all the Apples you can on the ground. It'll bake them, or any food, right up.You can bake an apple hanging on a tree with a drawn lit arrow. Or a torch. There is a volcano location later in the game where the ground is so hot that you can just drop your food and it will bake itself in couple of seconds.
So today was eventful for me. I got all 900 Korok seeds and happily expected to be at 100%...
...only to find out that I'm only at 99.02%...
According to IGN I probably missed a "location" because for some reason locations are part of the percentage and there's like 226 of them or so. But it's hard to know that you found them. What are they? Are they the words on the map? Because I don't know which ones I would have missed or how to find and activate them.
Either way, the only other things I really have left to do are Trial of the Sword, which is a pain in the ass so fuck it for now, and find whatever armor is still scattered around. I'm sure I have thousands of chests left all over. For now though I'm happy and content in my completion. I can retire the game for a long while and maybe start up a Master Mode game in a few years when I'm bored while we wait to see what the next Zelda game ends up being.
