It won't win for sure if he does.
I love that game, but I don't think a lot of people will vote for it (except for Jones and Kyle himself).
Maybe I will be surprised, but I suspect a lot of other classics will have to be inducted first before a game like this can enter the HoG (that said, I didn't expect Pokemon to get in there at this time either, so maybe I am completely wrong).

There is a good chance a lot of them played it (the original SSX was my first PS2 game together with NHL 2001 if I am not mistaken (yeah, I was really into sportsgames and racinggames back in the day)).
It is for sure a classic imo, but I am not sure how easily sportsgames will get voted in. I guess it depends on the other games that will be presented.

I have played the original, SSX 3 (bought it used from a gaming store) and the reboot and for me SSX 3 is my favorite of the ones I have played (I love the "one mountain" design). But I have the most memories of the original and I know and recognize it better than 3 (I have checked some of Kyle's streams and didn't recognize 3 as much as I thought I would).

I also enjoyed the reboot, but compared to the other 2 I have played it's certainly not as good.

SSX would be a pretty daring pick at this point in the HOG. I mean, they JUST put Chrono Trigger in. We've a ways to go before the Allies will vote for SSX over something like Resident Evil 2 or Shadow of the Colossus.

Yeah, I agree. I would be very surprised if a top tier classic isn't voted in before SSX. That said, imo it can have it's place in there (but maybe there is a better chance after a year or so).

Shadow of the Colossus, specifically time attack mode. It'd probably work best as a tournament, where the best time wins.

But then again, the group streams go live at like 2AM for me, so I can understand people who usually watch it live being a bit more disappointed.

It's on at 3PM here, so watching it live is sometimes an option for me (depending on whether I'm home by then) but even so, I'm pretty much the same. I'm fine with skipping group streams I'm not interested in and If people are talking about something that happens at one specific part, I'll just check that part out (like the LEGO set last week).

I still think sims still wasn't a good game to do with don design lab and was the weakest of the ones they done in that series. But the allies made the most of the odd situation they were thrown into as they were trying to fumble around an interface they were unfamiliar with, with no keyboard and no "don guide" to help them. The thing that gave the stream life was the party house modifier for team 2. I also enjoyed bloods scoring system.

The Sims 3 stream was good, but I do think it was the weakest of the Design Challenges.

Plus, the wrong house won.

Any reason they used Sims 3 instead of 4? Was it just the way it was voted on?

I think the Sims 4 create-a-house thing is way better and easier to use.

There is always a chance to steal a second place if two or three classics divide the votes enough!

It's kinda elaborate but I think it's the best way of ensure all the allies have the same experience, instead of Damiani getting the results spoiled.

I don't see why not. Without red/blue there wouldn't have been any other Pokemon game (or even the anime show, which is based on the game and not the other way around), so I personally think it is the perfect game of the series to be in there.

As far as which the best one is goes, I don't know (I suspect it isn't the first gen). I have only played blue (in French (so bleu), a language I don't even speak decently) when it came out (because the English copies were sold out and my sister bought French copies red/blue (and English copies afterwards as well)) and am currently playing a bit of Pokemon Ultra Sun and have never touched any of the other main ones (I played a bit of Colosseum and Snap (which is great) with my sister on N64 and have seen her play some of the other ones for a bit). (I also still play a little bit of Pokemon Go when I go to and come back from work)

That said, my sister has always been a big fan and while I think she prefers the second or third gen over the first one, I still think the first gen is the game to be in there.
The same with SSX if one of that series should be in there, it should be the first one imo (even though I like SSX 3 even more).

I like this idea! I'm not on Patreon so I can't vote, but I really hope they do this.

Red and Blue are worthy of recognition on the same sense SF2 is. They are not SF1 levels of start of a franchise, and it doesn't really matter if sequels are better or not.

This is great! It seems like this suggestion or the suggestion in the comment after (which is pretty similar) are good (I voted for both).

I really like this idea as well. I have voted for your idea (and the one under it) as well.
I really liked the voting last time (so everybody votes while the rest is outside), but the counting wasn't the best and this will completely solve that.

People are going hard for the "tried-and-true" method of Damiani counting it....
I do hope Kyle disregards the voting and tries my process (or Kevin's, his process follows the same premise) lol

That's okay, if anything it made me realize it wasn't too bad. First time I saw it it legitimately ruined my day, couldn't get it out of my head. I know it sounds ridiculous but knowing at least Ben and Huber feel the same way, I guess it's just some kind of weird phobia.

I do think it would be a rather fun seasonal event to have a "And For That Reason" extended podcast every now and again, much like when we get the "Whoops just L&R" editions occasionally. It would be a nice supplement to Cool Games Inc.

Honestly I think Easy Allies and the Polygon crew would get along famously, a shame they aren't closer to one another!

P.S. Is it too early to be daydreaming about the schedule for this year's Easy Living?
