I think this situation is a little stickier than the PDP one, so I'm not surprised that Kyle doesn't want to touch it, for the time being at least.
That would be more disappointing than anything else tbh. Whatever, listened to the Waypoint Podcast (which was really good) and GiantBomb. a 2 minute segment would have hurt nobody, still.
Remember the Senran Kagura bullshit drama. This is a potential threat to their revenue. Waypoint is on a payroll and caters to a certain userbase
I like that the Allies generally avoid drama and "gaming community" feuds. They stay in their own lane and do their own thing, rather then rolling about in the mud.
They keep their eye on the ball and stay focused on games. It's better for them, and better for us, since games is what we're all here to talk about.
There are always PLENTY of others more than willing to spend their time on gossip, feuding, and salacious drama.

It's not that. They'd do the same thing in the GT days. Kyle is very consistent about this. He doesn't feel qualified to discuss it and really is concerned of saying things wrong on more serious subject matters. Versus getting something wrong about a game and cleaning it up the next week during the corrections section.
And if they did cover it I really believe it wouldn't be about the incident or accusations but he'd take it in a bigger picture look. Likehow quickly a community can shift.
I seriously doubt that. Kyle has simply always steered away from internet controversies and focused on gaming news first and foremost. I doubt there's anything more to it.

They've talked about issues that "could lose them patrons" before, or let's say assholes and they actually lost a few. Luckey, PDP, Nazis, vetoing beach splash and the reasoning for it, demodding a mod on their forums for being openly gamergate. I don't think this is the reason they haven't talked about this on camera. It's even bit unfair and insulting to assume so imo. It's not a nice thing to dig up info on either and to discuss. Also as the victim didn't actually want this to blow up and it was ment for her own circles only and the incident has already became a meme even people having a laught about the situation with different shower gifs and such, I could see them (or just Kyle) wanting to move pass it since there are indeed articles that already offer the full picture. Though I've wished earlier that they wouldn't be shy with political and "political" topics regarding games, this directly involves a named victim who doesn't want to be in the spotlight. And as the topic is very delicate, I wouldn't blame them if there was fear of some people misunderstanding too. I mean Blood got harsh backlash for his tweeting just some time ago, when what he said was taken entirely in the wrong way. Basically getting called Nazi sympathizer or some shit. I absolutely can't see a situation where they would be fearing of losing audience that thinks sexual misconduct wouldn't be wrong. There's many more likely reasons why they haven't really covered it. Like waiting for a Frame Trap in example.

Those two were great, especially Waypoint's, since Patrick was part of the forum since near its inception (and used to be a mod). I guess it's no big deal if it isn't brought up in the podcast (and I'm not sure many of them actually cared about the place anyway).

I mostly lurked in previous threads but I have to say I enjoyed Huber's recent full playthrough stream of The Evil Within 2.
Yeah he stealth announced it on Cup of Jones this week... right before meditating in silence for 5 minutes on camera. Experimental Jones is Best Jones.
Huber's AC origins review has sold me on the game, it just looks like a world I'd enjoy exploring, though the warning about button-mash combat is a bit of concern. I think Ben said something similar during his preview?
