Jessica Jones is still my favorite Netflix Marvel thing (even though the bar is pretty low) (and also I liked Punisher a lot), so I'm pretty excited for this.

I'm looking forward to this, it was the only show on Netflix with the Marvel logo that I actually liked.

I just hope it's better than the first season. Literally every character that wasnt Jess/Trish/Tennant/the drug addict was trash that lowered my enjoyment of the show, not to mention the awful pacing issues..

The fact that they are playing up Tennant's return is disheartening, I really want Jess and the show to move on from him. I'll still watch because Jess is a great character but my expectations are pretty low.

Prax is better than Dr Who, who I thought was the shittiest part of s1.

Wow, already. I still need to force myself through Defenders, and I need to finish Punisher. Nice!

Between this and Love, there is virtually no way I'm doing much other than watching Netflix and playing Persona 5 this weekend lol especially since I'm sick as hell and already put in to take Saturday off.

I suspect he's not going to be in it much. Someone's who's seen the first half said that he's not appeared in any of them. I think he's just going to pop up occasionally as a voice in her head.

Oh, for some reason I expected this on Friday. Guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow.

It's out tomorrow?????? Really didn't think it was out this soon, got something to hold me down. Jessica Jones was originally behind DD for me until The Punisher. Hope it's as good as the first season and hope we get a cameo from another Defender.

Loved S1, but never watched any other series afterward(Defenders, etc...). Safe to jump into S2?

Yea it's safe. Pretty sure I recall from the reviews that she doesn't really bring up what she did in Defenders. Not that it matters anyways, because her and Luke weren't as heavily tied to its plot anyways.

At best, just know that her and Luke are good again.

The first four episodes are straight garbage. It might get better from there, but they left a shitty taste and killed any interest I had in the rest.

The villian is also the the weakest so far, just awful.

Welp, the previews don't have me thrilled, but I think I liked JJ season 1 the most out of the Marvel Netflix stuff*, warts and all, so here's hoping I'm hoping we can avoid the netflix 'goes on too long' issue with this variant.

*Luke Cage was a contender until Diamondback showed up, lol.

I loved Diamondback, but the problem was that he was like an old blaxploitation villain - super hammy. That would have been fine if Cottonmouth hadn't already set a totally different tone in the first half, so it felt like he came from another show. Hopefully the next season is more consistent.

Just finished season 1 today. Really enjoyed it bar a few missteps and narrative bloat.

Haven't read anything about season 2 so gonna go in totally blind and binge the whole thing in one sitting tomorrow. Should be fun.

Oh, for sure - they had waaaay too great of a setup with Cottonmouth to just suddenly have him get gone the way he did.

And then the show tried to mix 'full ham' with Diamondback with the 'real life grit' Marvel apparently is shooting form in these 'street level' Netflix shows, and the narrative mesh falls apart.

I thought JJ and Kilgrave were what made the first season good. I wasn't expecting him to be in S2, I'm expecting it's in the form of flashbacks.

I am interested to see where they go with it though.

I really liked JJ S1. It did run a couple of episodes over (Kilgrave disappearing around episode 10 till the finale was difficult) but overall it was very enjoyable.

Trouble is indeed the Tennant issue. A lot of my enjoyment was the nature of the villain. Whilst I did think S2 would have a big hole to fill with him gone, I really don't think bringing him back half-assedly 'wooo he's in JJ's head' is a smart move.

I hope to be proven wrong and will give it a decent shout
