Akiyama has by far one of the best voices, his Bakamitai version is amazing.
Kōichi Yamadera is a great voice actor.
It's gone on sale a few times on US PSN.
I love Kiryu's singing voice but I agree that Akiyama's Bakamitai version is the best. Both his and Kiryu's version of the song are on this CD (I have it, it's great):This is an international crime!
I prefer Akiyama's version tho >.> His voice is like silk on the ears. Pure eargasm, and I've spent an embarrassing amount of time listening to it xD
Maybe you should make a thread of the ultimate post-apocalyptic entertainment. I guess rangerBAD will join the club.I guess I'll be hanging around here for a while, then.
Though I'd still hope someone makes the thread, because I think it'd be a lot more organized and bring more people that aren't hanging out in here.
I plan on making one along with him, but still haven't settled on a name. Best I could come up with is "Tiger Drop of the North Star"Hokuto ga gotoku online manual

For whatever reason quests just seem bugged on my end. I've ran across hiroshima and kamurocho to the point of exhaustion (have both of them burned into my mind at this point lol), and still am only at like 27/52 done. Not to mention the bar friends side game just will not load for me no matter what I do =\ Previous Y games I've always done at least 90% of the substories. Even in Ishin, where I couldn't even understand what was going on 90% of the time, I still did 58/67 substories. The only reason I can gather I missed so much in 6 is just bugs. Which considering *how* I played the game I can't really complain too much about lol >.<Bug quest ? I'm at 48/52 sidestory so far (one have to be at night and other i need a item for dude in the other city). Got a bug quest during hotess that never trigger, reload the game then it work.
Yeah wasn't a big fan of the story but just reachand thing start to get really good. And the game have so much nice fan service if you have played previous yakuza game that make thing really fun to discover.8
Also these late Clan war sidequest are insane hard and grindy.... can't imagine the hardest one....
I'm not entirely sure if it's just me since I normally find most of the side quests, but I'm at chapter 10 or 11 and I've only seen 23 so far.For whatever reason quests just seem bugged on my end. But yeah same here on the hostess stuff. I had to reload 3 or 4 times to get Saki's quest to go. I tried Amon once before the last boss and got one shotted when he was at 10% health T_T
What's the snack bar mini game lol -_-;I honestly can't remember having issues getting the side stories for 6 to trigger. As mentioned above I got them all but 1 which seemed hard to trigger. Keep in mind that quite a few are tied to mini games - snack bar, fishing, baseball etc. so make sure your doing the mini games as well!

Don't put the fishing off, it rocks! One of the best mini games in the game, just wish it was longer.Yea I guess I gotta delve further into the baseball and fishing then. I'd been putting those off.

I'll mess around with baseball and fishing some more. I have a really love/hate relationship with the game (love playing it, hate watching it) so I've mostly avoided baseball stuff in the series. Exception being Shinada's stuff, because he's such a loveable dumbass I couldn't help but extract the most out of his content xD
Other than some bits of it I ended up loving it so much that I don't even want to play another Yakuza game, and I mean that in the most endearing of ways. Defo one of my favorite games this gen thus far.
Overall playtime was 32 hrs, about exactly half as long as it took me to beat y5. I suspect I would have added at least 12 hours or so on top if quests weren't bugged out on me tho
I'm in one of the final chapters so I don't know how it concludes yet, but even still I can't see this not being my goty. It's been a tremendously positive experience the entire way through.Hearing this gets me quite excited to play Y6! The ending in particular seems to be controversial, but the fact that you seemed to like it so much really makes me curious. I'm especially happy to see that people over here seem to be enjoying the game quite a bit, despite some somewhat concerning negative feelings when the game first came out.
I once saw the last boss of Yakuza 6 Japanese version on YouTube.
One of the comments said that the last boss is
Satoru Iwata of Nintendo.
re-post from the import thread
Besides the classic "Omae wa mou, shindeiru." Kenshiro also says something like "Sandeiukokuto, kisama no wa shin". Is this like "You may not know, but you are dead." ? What does that mean?
Japanese is a hard language yo. I will link a vídeo with him saying (3:12:07 for the exact time):
yeah. also:Relationships between parent(s) and their child are the main theme of the game. I don't think the choice is that bad.
I'd like to help but all I can hear is whhhhhhh...atahhhhh. Is the time stamp correct?
not reallyIf I play Yakuza 6, will I spoil myself Kiwami 2? I only played 0 and Kiwami, and was looking forward to playing Kiwami 2 soon.
But now I found out how long Yakuza games usually take to localize in the west, so Kiwami 2 is probably 1+ year away. Now I'm thinking about getting 6 in the meantime once it releases in the west. Good idea? Bad idea? Should I wait for more Kiwamis?
the gameplay definitely felt scaled back in 6, so I can't wait to see the improvements.
Great, thanks! I will be looking forward to April then!not really
There's some nods to 2 here and there but the plot of 6 is like entirely compartmentalized. Going from K > 6 is fine. Everything you need to know for 6 is summed up for you in chapter 1 of 6. If anything I'd say some version of 1 is really the only thing absolutely required for this game.
I feel like nearly every game after Yakuza 5 is going to feel scaled back in terms of gameplay elements and that's not a bad thing at all. Yakuza 5 was doing too much, every chapter nearly felt like a standalone experience if it was any other game. So far Yakuza 6 has been really fun, it's cool being forced to do everything "blind" because there aren't any guides for it that I can read. I really hope that the save safely transfer over to the retail version so I can pick up the game and continue on. Either way, whether the save works or not, I'll be there day 1 to support Yakuza.
My comment was referring more so about the actual combat though. The moveset in Y6 is pretty lacking compared to previous entries, specifically the small number of combos and heat moves, as well as how you can't carry weapons around. Don't get me wrong, it's still fun, but Y5's and Y0s combat was just so more fleshed out in comparison which is why I'm glad to hear that Kiwami 2 is improved in this area.
Ah, this I wholeheartedly agree. My move set feels extremely limited compared to what I was doing in 5. I wish there was more options given how much more relentless the enemies are in this on hard mode. I've bought a ton of heat moves that are only usable in maximum heat mode and I can't ever pull them off. It's frustrating. Other than that the game a joy to play and I'm sad I finally caught up and have nothing to play once I'm done with this until Kiwami 2 hits the states. The last 12 months have been amazing as I made my way though Yakuza 0 through 6(except for 2.)
I had no idea early '80s Japanese music was so funky.

Yeah. All the bar friends have one too, and the spearfishing game has like two or three tied into it.So every hostess and bar friends have a sub story in Y6? I maxed a hostess out today and ran into her sub story shortly after.
Man, Toshiki Kadomatsu should've been on the Yakuza 0 soundtrack. Surely it couldn't have cost that much to license some old albums like this? Those disco songs in Y0 were the only songs I felt really missed the mark in terms of hitting the period's sound.
