Linkle Mod now available on Breath of the Wild (Cemu Only)

A whole lot of people are about to get really happy!

Saw this on Reddit and instantly thought about ERA, people were just soooo excited about Linkle, i remember there being a rumor of her being playable in BOTW which ended up never happening :(

Opened a new thread as i thought it was big enough of a deal that would deserve it's own thread, plus, people will surely discuss her not being playable in the first place when there were rumors stating the opposite.

Lynardkiller has been working on this mod for quite awhile and it's definitely quite polished.

The mod works for v1.4.0 / v1.4.1 / v1.5.0 versions of Breath of the Wild.

Mod Features:

Voice and Facial Expressions have been added.

Crossbow is over Royal Halberd. It's a spear.

Linkle's body is over Link's model.

Linkle's armor is over the Hylian Set.

Includes dyable armor colors.

I was excited until I got to Cemu Only.
This would be super cool for Nintendo to implement. Shame.

Edit: also agreed, title should've been something like "Linkle Mod available for BotW"

Not entirely sure, cause you can use mods on the Wii U as far as i am aware, so it could had been a mod that could had been used on the Wii U (though it's not.. i think)

You would think so, especially considering they already have Linkles model, voice and so on from Hyrule Warriors. I mean, if a modder can do it, Nintendo should be able to. But i definitely don't think it's a case of Nintendo not being able to, but them not wanting to.

What's impressive is that they also added female voice for her.

I remember that there was also a playable Zelda mod, but with Link's voice which makes the mod entirely useless. I'm not sure if it's already updated since then though.

As far as I can tell, you can run this on a Wii U.

I don't see the issue, the title mentions that it's for Cemu only, i mean, it really is pretty self-explanatory, but if an Admin feels like changing it could be "Linkle now available on Breath of the Wild (Cemu Mod Only)" :(

There is even a mod to play as Goku from Dragon Ball and Luffy from One Piece

I would of, but cause as far as i know the mod only works on Cemu i didn't want people to think the mod would work in general on a Wii U cause it does support modding in general.

Someone above mentioned that it is possible to use it on original hardware though, but i am not aware of how modding works on the original hardware

ths state of CEMU is kinda of insane, BOTW at 4k even at 30 frames is a completely different game, plus you get all these mods and graphics packs from the cominuty, Nintendo surely is missing a point not understanding how much some people ( like me ) would love one of their consoles to be a beast in terms of raw power, will try this out on the weekend, thanks for sharing OP!

This isn't Cemu only, you can use a Wii U.

However: the Wii U mod loader is a little buggy, and may require you to restart the game from time to time. You can use Loadliine instead, but because it doesn't work great with BotW, you'll get VERY long loading times.

Anyway, I played this a bunch last night, it's pretty great. The model isn't perfect—her legs look a bit too manly, and her face a little derpy (although in fairness, so does Link's face)—but still really damn impressive.

They don't, other than the clothing specifically mentioned as compatible. You can put other clothes on, but you'll have Link's body and/or massive clipping.

Quick question: what's the workaround for those motion control sections when playing with a PS4 pad? I tried using the mouse but it was a completely awful experience and made me stop playing.
