Not getting my Outbreak Packs even after restarting the client twice, once intentionally, and once accidentally because of the crash that happens when you click "Collection".
Yes, it's similar to Overwatch. 10 placement matches I believe.

What is the best way to get into this game (PC) in terms of what should I purchase lol. I see several different options on Steam or is it cheaper to purchase somewhere else?
Outbreak's neat, but it seems that most of the weekly challenge tracking related to it is broken.
It's also insane that you don't get packs from it, and you hardly get any XP. Doesn't that make it completely pointless to play beyond completing the challenges?
Reminds me of the seasonal Overwatch events kind of, when they'd add PvE modes. They're neat to play about 3 times, then it's back to regular game modes because it's not worth playing the PvE mode.

Am I correct in assuming that buying the SEASON 3 PASS will NOT make S1 and S2 operators cheaper?

The season passes are just shortcuts for the new ops for that season. They have no affect on past seasons as you don't need one to get the other.

Lower prices for S1 and S2 would make me buy the S3 pass.
Same reason they just gave everyone those 20 Operators, new players are not having as much fun with less options.
I can not play a lot so having a shortcut that I can pay for is fine with me. (And I saw that you can buy them with their Rainbow bucks but that would make turn the game into something I spend 160$ on)
It gives you a 10% discount on everything purchasable with R6 credits and renown, so it should.
This. You don't even get more renown from it than a normal Terrorist Hunt. If they don't at least reward packs for it I have little reason to come back to it after the novelty wore off.
I also don't quite know why they bothered to waste money on FMVs and the like for a time limited event.
Guess I'll wait a couple days for issues and hype to die down before jumping in.

My sound is totally fucked. Player movement has a weird echo-"moving in an empty room"-touch to it. When I touch a wall with Bandit batteries attached to it and get shocked, every sound is completely muted. I can no longer pinpoint the location of my opponent. I can't continue playing like this.
Lion is an absolute menace.
He has completely destroyed the competitive balance of the game. I am looking forward to the eventual nerfs.

There's also some weird issues where you can not hit the WASD keys and still be detected. Just happened to me on Yacht.
Anyways, I whaled on a game for my first time with the Outbeak packs. Don't think I'll be doing that again, but was interesting to see what whaling on a game is like. Was only $75 total with the credits I already had from previous season passes.
I don't find Lion that bad, but yeah I've been spotted when not moving which is NOT a great fucking bug to have.

The based game OPs get unlocked for all today. Y1 & 2 are around $20 each. And Y3 is $30

My ps plus ran out a while back and I have major withdrawals for Siege. I may not even get a chance to play this event. Pretty bad timing, but Im not that interested in it.

Only tried one round with her, but Finka seems cool. Need to play more with her and try out Lion.
Did they change the renderer / resolution? Playing on the X1X right now and immediately noticed the main selection screen with the three characters doesn't look nearly as soft, but also much more aliased.

Holy crap it felt so good to play on Yacht again. Got to try out Lion and Finka. I got an Ace the very first round with Finka, she's crazy OP. Lion seems good and bad, when you pop the drone teammates get rushy and stupid.
Ela's SMG nerfs aren't so bad, the loss of impacts... I felt that immediately, but my shield strat worked lol.

Lion seems really strong on bomb. Wait for someone good at planting like Ying to plant it, and then guard it while popping charges. Won multiple rounds with that already.
My friend got the Ash Elite skin from his second free Outbreak pack. Does that mean he's screwed out of a free pack, then?

I haven't played in a good while so hopefully it's not placebo but the raw input option has been doing well with reducing the hitchy mouse input I've had in the past. Hopefully this keeps up.
Finka is pretty fun, I'm enjoying her Scorpion. I'm glad there's a headgear option to minimize the hazmat suit appearance, same with Lion. You can remove their face guards and they have outfit recolours that make them look more in-line with their Spetsnaz and GIGN crew.

The Outbreak pack one is different IIRC.
Ya, I saw elsewhere that the difference is the Sidewinder (free) one has blue instead of the Outbreak pack one which has camo. Huge difference. /s
IQ's elite really triggers me.
She looks so cool and badass, and then they just make her some awkward mom doing kung fu.
Some of my favourite stuff with the original ops is not seeing their faces too. They just seem so much more bad ass.

Triggered is a good word for it, can't stand IQ's elite and every-time I see it I screech inside. Valk's is pretty cool, I'll buy it asap. When are they expected to be available anyway?
I like some of the elite uniforms, but I feel too anxious to ever use them. I've never been one for looking showboaty, so it's the modified portraits and win animations that push me over against using them. I'd just feel too much of a spotlight.
