Yeah I'm glad I didn't do that. That would have been completely soul crushing. I couldn't do it the first time I had the opportunity. But I did the second time it came up.

The only other one I have going right now is Night in the Woods, and that game has some sad vibes to it too, so I don't know if I wanna hop back into that again right after this. I tried playing some Overwatch, but I couldn't concentrate. Funny YouTube videos are the only thing to cheer me up so far today haha.
I suggest Kingdoms and Castles. It's a charming little city builder with little block people in the medieval times. You can disconnect and just enjoy watching your little blocky subjects run around and attend to towns. You can even turn off invaders and dragons and what not and only focus on city building. It helped me unwind after the trauma of that one ending.
Nice, I like city builders. I'll check that one out, maybe pick it up tomorrow or something.
Maybe Paper Mario, it's one of my happiest games ever.

The ending makes saving Chloe even easier. As much as David means to joyce, having her lose her daughter after seeing what losing William did to her is just beyond awful. To say she would be soul crushed would be the biggest understatement ever.
Yeah there seems to be something weird going on with the console versions.
Someone posted this earlier in the thread: "you can just hover over the games tile on the PS4 dashboard and then click down on the d-pad. Go all the way down and it will bring you a list of Add-ons/Extras. For me, Farewell was right at the top just waiting for me to click it."
So try that, and hopefully it will work for you. For some reason you have to manually download the episode apparently.
If you mean can you get the bonus episode without owning BtS, then no you need to own BtS.
You can upgrade the normal version to the deluxe version to get the bonus episode though if you don't have the deluxe.
Same thing happened to me. Go to the life is strange icon on your ps4 dash, press down for more options, select PlayStation store and then redownload the ep

Edit:nevermind I thought the 1.05 patch was it. Just saw the posts above. They need to fix the in game link so that it goes to the episode and not the deluxe upgrade if you already own it.

The bonus episode is about Max and Chloe right before Max left for Seattle. It's part of the Before the Storm Deluxe Edition.

Well in context, Max never told Chloe so it has a completely different worse feel to it, and she has different lines and a different, happier tone if you tell her. If you don't....Max sounds distraught.

Look I love Max+Chloe a lot (bae ending for life), but Farewell+BTS has made me see Max in a new light.
Chloe really needed her best friend, moving was out of her control. But straight out ghosting the messages. That's heartbreaking and I feel so sad and angry for Chloe.

Definitely impressive how Deck Nine managed to create an experience that lives up to the original and even surpasses it in some ways, after all of the scepticism that came about when it was learned that another developer would handle this prequel story. Before the Storm even manages to enhance the original LiS by doing a good job of fleshing out Chloe's backstory. Made me appreciate her more as a character, after seeing what she goes through first-hand.

she makes such a big deal of staying in contact with Chloe in the bonus episode (I guess depending on your choices?).
I think she didn't know how to deal with it. She's 13, moving literally a completely new state, a small town to a big city, and didn't know what to say to Chloe. She knew realistically being able to go see her at all would be very hard, let alone all the time or even like once a month or so.
I kind of wish we got a little more specific insight as to why, but I'm not going to hate her for it.
