I'll try to message a mod to move this thread then.Maybe try to get people here - although not particularly active as of late we have a great and helpful bunch of posters here.
It has been a few months since the Clazziquai DLC - think we will get info on the next pack soon?
Should definitely stick with this thread. We're dead enough as it is!I might try to get this OT moved to the main thread, or maybe create a new one for NA release.
Will do it on the release week. Seems a little early now.Should definitely stick with this thread. We're dead enough as it is!
For sure, totally digging it.Well worth the wait! I've played on both Virgoo and Dao controllers and like the Virgoo in sturdiness, but the Dao in overall build and detailed design. Still no word yet on the Partner Program, but hoping something is said next week.
Was kind of hoping for $40, but also figured that would've been too low. Glad I can use the extra $10 I had loaded onto my account towards one of the DLC packs.
Guilty Gear pack has 2 of my favorite songs in DJMAX.To quote from another thread:

Not sure if I'll get the GG one considering it doesn't have the songs that I know/like. Gimme stuff from Xrd like what Superbeat Xonic got, or were they perhaps not allowed since that game got those songs?
Did they ever confirm all DLC will be released world wide on the same day? They might prioritize asia release first.I imported the game physically and went through the trouble of getting some Singaporean PSN credit with the intention of buying DLC, but have managed to never unseal the game case. Should I be looking at starting with the NA version despite already having a physical copy I've never played?
This game is absolutely fantastic - I bought it a few weeks ago off the japanese store before the western release date was announced, which was kinda foolish of me really, but it was so worth it. It just plays so well, most of the songs are so good and the amount of content there for the price is insane. It's definitely a very difficult game, especially if you aren't used to rhythm games, but personally I feel as if Respect is more welcoming than DJMax Portable (or whatever the one that released in the UK PSN store was called).
Some of the maps seem more forgiving this time around for some reason, I dunno if it's because they've added some new, easier variants in or if I've just improved from when I played it on PSP, but it still feels better. A lot of videos online only really show off the incredibly difficult, finger breaking songs, but it's worth bearing in mind that there are four levels of difficulty in the game, and every song tends to have at least two unique maps for each of those, so it doesn't exactly throwing you in at the deep end. The game can be insane if you want it to be, but there's no reason you can't just stick to 4 Button mode (like me :p)
I bought the Trilogy and Clazziquai DLC packs today and almost every single song I've played from them so far is top tier; and the best part is, there're still even more DLC packs to come! The final song count for this game is gonna be crazy - there're already more than 200 songs in total with the DLC.
If anyone's interested, here're a few videos of gameplay from the easier difficulties.

I think it's pretty accurate to say this is a great deal if you want something like that. It's not exactly the same as Pop'n Music, but I can't think of anything closer on current consoles. Although playing it on a DS4 is obviously going to be quite different then playing pop'n music on its controller.Okay, so I'm *kinda* a veteran of Pop'n Music from way back in the PS2 days. Even went so far as to buy a Pop'n Mini controller for it. However I never progressed past 5-button (7-button was removed fairly early on so I never got to try that and 9-button was just too much for me). I enjoy the Project Diva games since they're the closest thing on consoles to the old Pop'n experience, but this looks even closer to that. Would that be an accurate statement? I'd really like to finally find something that recaptures that old Pop'n magic (even if I was never really that good at it).

Don't sell yourself short! pop'n is pretty intuitive and 9 button works so well. Modern entries in the series have gotten rid of 5 button entirely, so at this point there's no choice in the matter, but it's just as well since sticking with 5 button for too long makes 9 button harder to learn...However I never progressed past 5-button (7-button was removed fairly early on so I never got to try that and 9-button was just too much for me).
I've only played DJMax Portable. It had this weird "assist feature" where your inputs would count even if you pressed the wrong button, which kind of put me off the game, since there was no way to turn it off. Does Respect also do that?
Thanks! Excellent. Day one. There's no note correction in this - if you hit the wrong lane it's a miss.
I'm sure a lot of them are just using their Japanese, Korean, or Chinese accounts, so they're stuck with the flags for those regions. Sort of wish I could change it, though, unless there's a hidden option somewhere.Note correction was a mistake, it's nothing but trash.
Hoping more EU peeps pick this up when it releases in the US, I see so few of them on the keaderboards.
You should be able to play from any PSN account as long as the account the game was purchased on set the console you installed it on as your primary console.I'm sure a lot of them are just using their Japanese, Korean, or Chinese accounts, so they're stuck with the flags for those regions. This is what I do, but yeah Jiraiza is probably right in that a lot of people play through the Asian account they bought it from, I never thought of that. You should be able to play from any PSN account as long as the account the game was purchased on set the console you installed it on as your primary console.

Destructoid posted their review today. Thus far, it's the only review I've been able to find for the western release.
My only issue is the left and right input buttons, as they don't register if you press them both simultaneously (which is an issue with the console in general). If none of the charts have this input combo, then I suppose the complaint is moot. Any ideas if this is the case?
US here, why can't I find it in the store? Tried new releases tab and searching for it!
