While BC is good it's not a replacement for remasters in all cases. Emulation will never improve game design or make needed fixes. See the upcoming dark souls remaster

Yes, but BC is not meant to be a replacement, it's a great - and free - addition. Remember that emulation will likewise not make dubious and uncalled for changes to classic games. See the Bioshock collection, Return to Arkham or *shudders* Silent Hill HD Collection.

Did they do anything else to The Witcher 2? I seem to remember the original 360 release having a different, somewhat warmer, color palette than the PC release. Now it looks pretty close, aside from the pulled back camera.

Just ordered an Xbox One X to mainly play Gears 3, Ninja Gaiden Black and Radiant Silvergun. Having NGB, Bayonetta and DMC3 HD (soon!) on one system was one of the bigger selling points for me. Hoping for Ninja Gaiden 2 to be X enhanced too.

And then wait for the eventual forza horizon 4 announcement...

Are there enhancements for those games on the xbox one s? If not and you need to buy an X its really not free.

I know right?

Especially if you factor in the petrol you need to drive out to the store. The coffee you might buy on the way, the electricity required to run the One X, the Gold subscription to make even having it worthwhile and then the university degree you have to have to even know how to use the UI. Backwards compatibility is probably the biggest rip off in gaming.

NGB looks amazing on the X. It already looked beautiful on the base Xbox One, but the higher resolution and better texture filtering really elevate it to a whole new level. You're going to love it.

Can't believe Microsoft and Sony are charging us the price of a console to access these "free" 4K patches. Utter scum.

I wish every X game had a 60fps mode. It would make my PC nearly redundant.
Phil said in another interview that this was one of his goals for the next xbox or something like that.

Probably because it will have a fairly decent cpu and a huge resolution spectrum to work with, so it should be doable regularly on both the cpu and gpu size.

I know one thing its that sony really needs to implement backwards compatability as a core feature of the ps5
They can't tell their heads from their ass, at every damn turn MS is schooling them it's seriously embarrassing.
I'll be damned to give me them a pass when the other camp just keeps coming up with idea's that are well thought through.
With that off my chest, this is a most welcome feature especially when not all games are remastered/remade (I'll take both and not just 1 method).

The selection of 360 titles with X support is impeccable, they definitly have their priorities straight.

Wow didn't know about this. It's kind of a big deal considering how great the 360's library is.

If MS continues like this with its next system with a couple of must haves I'll be back on board with the X.

I kind of would prefer remasters for games I've beaten on Xbox 360/PS3. I jumped into Crackdown to find an empty world where the only thing to do was search every nook and cranny for the last orbs I missed or do the bad racing stuff I had no interest in doing, so it's a pretty empty game for me. The same thing happened for Burnout Paradise, where I jumped back in excited to get back to the world before realizing I had gotten all of the collectibles and beaten every race to leave me with nothing to do. Now the Burnout Paradise remaster is my most anticipated game this month so I can do that grind all over again and I'll probably have both Xbox One and PS4 versions at some point like PS3/Xbox 360 versions of the original.

It's cool for games I haven't beaten or maxed out, but I love remasters for those that I want to play fresh once more.

Sorry, but that just seems odd...why not just start a new game? Since it is enhanced, is it not like starting a different version again?

wish there was a sensitivity option for crackdown. takin a lil while to get used to the controls.
they need to get the people who did recore to get the controls down for crackdown 3.

This is my only complaint with replaying Crackdown...the camera is too slow for my liking.

I don't quite get your argument. The Burnout Remaster actually looks worse than X Enhanced games as far as I can tell.

Start a new save game if you want to start from the beginning?

The same thing happened to me, then I realized that upon starting a game you can choose to resurrect the gangs (press right at the top of the main menu), basically resetting the campaign, but keeping your character progress and all the unlocks. Neat, eh? Give it a shot.

Is there a definitive list somewhere? I'm looking at Wikipedia and it says Halo 3 is X Enhanced, but I haven't seen any comparisons.

Downloading a 1gb update for Mass Effect 3.
When you boot up the game, do you have this option in the guide?

I guess my save file is lost. It started me out fresh like I'd never played it before. Oh well.

YO

Just watched the comparison for Halo 3, absolutely insane! If I wasn't waiting for the MCC update I would go out right now and buy an X. This is just fantastic!

I don't really care about the visuals that much, but the trailer looked great to me. It's a new opportunity to play a great game again.

I know I can reset the campaign, but there are no new achievements to earn unless I just devote myself to doing really tedious tasks. That's not very appealing to me. A remaster would offer a clean slate along with the opportunity to redesign the list to not be so focused on vehicles or co-op.

It might just be that Crackdown 2 would've been a better option for me since I never beat it and the delay of Crackdown 3 doesn't help the situation. I'll probably just move on and go play some more Just Cause 2 or the Saints Row IV remaster instead.

Is split second really that good
It was the only gwg game I've missed in like 2+ years for some reason

Knowing my luck it's the best game ever and it's getting the best enhanced patch
