Didn't post much in the other thread apart from at e3 betting special time but EZA is the only online podcast I keep up with. I reckon Damiani in a dry bones outfit. Too outlandish?

For this week 0. And generally it seems like Kyle doesn't have much to add to the discussion(given he said he didn't want to do it) he was pointing towards waypoint and other sources for info on the topic.
Low chances, the allies that were in neogaf before were likely grandfathered in years ago when they were still at GameTrailers. No idea if they'll try and come over here when registration reopens.
That is really odd. Is Kyle trolling? He was a total NG hound. How can he not talk about it? He brings up some NG-sourced news story in nearly every podcast hah.

I'll chime in on the discussion topic above, possibly take the L - I'm of the thought train that is happy to not have the Allies discuss the going ons with the other site. It just doesn't seem... Very l+r? It's a messy subject, and weighing in on one side could alienate the others. I listen to Allies for the sheer jolliness and hype, and I think this would detract from that considerably.
Anywho, my 2 cents, glad to be amongst it all!

Discussing things he found on Neogaf is one thing. Discussing Neogaf and its going-ons as an actual topic is another thing entirely.
Man I don't know about you but I feel like the destruction of that place was the biggest industry story over the weekend. And it definitely was an industry story. If he doesn't want to cover it for some reason, fine, but to me it makes no sense.
Maybe it would come up if last weeks EZA podcast wasn't what it was. The studio closure dominated the discussion and they probably wanted to have a more jolly podcast this week and not bring up this mess..
I think part of the issue with this particular story is that although GAF was big, it was possible to follow gaming without being on GAF at all (Kyle's mentioned checking GameInformer for news before). In addition, the sexual harassment stuff might be too much for what's generally a family-friendly podcast. Next week, maybe he'll bring up ResetEra now that the launch has happened and it's been pretty successful.
Damn, I thought the embargos were going to be staggered, but Wolf 2 and AC: Origins are both up in about an hour and a half, then Mario 2 hours after that.
LAST MINUTE BETS EDIT: I think Mario will be top of all 3 on www.opencritic.com by the end of today, I honestly believe it's a slam dunk, especially after Edge's review. But which comes higher out of Wolfenstein 2 and AC: Origins? I'm going with Wolfie 2.

Watched 3 if the 19 hours.... There's a lot to go and after that I need to finish the Knack 2 stream.
Yeah, seems fair. I think that AssCreed will also get knocked by one or two places for what it seems to be doing, which is bolting on more (interesting looking admittedly) systems to the base game, but the setting will bring people back up.
Also, I don't know if OpenCritics clock is wrong or not, but Wolfenstein 2 reviews might be going live a whole minute before AC lol.
BTW, what's the time for the review embargo of Super Mario Odyssey. I'm assuming that Damiani is the reviewer of the game so I can't wait to see the result...

2 and a half hours away. But Damiani didn't get a copy, or if he did, it would have been in the last day or so, so don't expect a review when the embargo lifts.
Some YouTuber leaked the ROM of Mario & Luigi for 3DS so they delayed copies of Mario to everyone in the "influencer" bucket.
The Knack 2 stream has actually become one of my favorites. I think they were right in saying Knack 2 would have been received much better if it had a different art direction (and a non-shitty story with huge, random time-skips in it).
Was expecting a higher score, but I think I'm convinced enough to pick it up down the line. The Ancient Egyptian setting interests me a lot. Probably a Q1 2018 pick up for me, depending on what is releasing in that time period.
The arcs are generally serious in nature througout but I've found the actual adventuring to be anything but.
Well everyone reviewed AC Origins at a review event prior to his Sunday mega stream. But what was impressive was he wrote the review on Monday after the stream!
It didn't surprise me. Kyle is consistent on this front. He doesn't like to cover stories like those, especially if it's in the fandom/enthusiast/media side of the news. The only way those can pop up is if he sees a lot of requests from L&R submissions. For example the only reason PDP came up after his racial slur controversy was he saw a lot of people in L&R asking them too

I really don't know if Damiani has a 5 Star review in him. Given his critical nature of games he even loves and his years of reviewing with a 100 Point scale. Then again blood gave a 5 star review. So anything is possible
I kinda figured. He didn't want to talk about the PDP or Jontron stuff either. I think he gets really uncomfortable discussing this kind of thing, especially when it doesn't directly affect video games. Something like "there's someone else better qualified to have this conversation" if I had to guess.
That being said I could see ERA getting a shout out or something since its pretty solidly L&R.
I gotta imagine theyve been too busy to sit around in Discord lol
Maybe they don't want to piss off part of their Patreon userbase.
